I’m gonna start counting how many of these there are going to be. Well deserved. It’s over for Trevor.
It’s fascinating see Trevor defenders slowly shrink in number game after game.
It’s always someone else’s fault to them, but now they’re like “yeah Trevor sucked but XYZ…” like they can’t even deny he’s a problem now
I want him to be good so bad.
They will grasp at straws to defend him. Until I see him play consistently and play up to his contract I will stand on the ground that it is undeserved.
Trevor is a problem but not the problem. He’s just one of many

Ive been a stan the whole time but just watching him run the offense, it never feels like we’re on the plus side of things. Every dropback is a potential liability and it just feels *off*
Trevor isn’t even a top 5 back up QB right now. Gladstone and Coen know this but they aren’t gonna throw him under the bus. It’s no secret the team moved the ball better with Mac last year
Trevor has 53 interceptions and 40 fumbles in 69 games. While not all of the fumbles have resulted in a turnover that is not competent QB play.
Defense gave up 30 and the line absolutely screwed the pooch on the last drive.
Trevor made 2 great plays to get them across the 50 but the OL just had to get a dumb penalty
I genuinely don’t know what Trevor did wrong? Yes he isn’t the best qb in the league but we lead the league in dropped passes and penalty yards, that will make any qb look bad. We lost that because of a phantom PI call and the Texans D is admittedly very strong. If Travis and BTJ were there we win that game I think.
Idk why but I honestly enjoyed watching Bortles more
Trevor got us into field goal range to win the game and then Chuma had an unnecessary holding call that pulled us out giving us literally no time left to get a field goal and our only hope is a hail mary. You people cannot be reasoned with. If we win you have fuck-all to say, like the Raiders game.
We can directly trace back how Trevor played well enough to win and you don’t care. Your opinion is based entirely on wins and losses rather than the individual whose performance you’re trying to cry about, which makes your opinion fucking WORTHLESS.
The nut huggers will continue to make excuses
He’s just absolute trash at one thing; navigating the pocket.
Genuinely confused how you come away with this take after this game
Lawrence signed a 5-year extension (new money) in 2024 for $275 million, through the 2030 season.
Fully guaranteed at signing: ~$142 million. Total guarantees: ~$200 million.
The contract is heavily front-loaded with bonuses & option bonuses, designed so the early years’ cap hits are modest and the big cap charges come in 2029-2030.
Cut/Trade Exit Points & Dead Money Implication
Using contract data from sources:
For 2025: Cap hit ~ $17 million.
For 2026: Cap hit ~ $24 million.
For 2027: Cap hit ~ $35 million.
For 2028: Cap hit ~ $47 million.
For 2029: Cap hit jumps to ~ $78.5 million.
The excuse of saying but it was the #1 defense is bullshit. Good qbs beat #1 defenses every year routinely. Trevor was effectively given a sizable cushion and couldn’t close the deal. All he had to do was play decent. He did not.
I’ve said this about Bo, but it applies for Trevor. Maube needs some footwork and mechanic and maybe some football iq classes and there are classes for thst. Young rodgers went to a passing camp and it did him a world of good. Ypung Rodgers used to throw a little funny because of his college
How can anyone have a strong opinion – good or bad – on Trevor Lawrence. He doesn’t have a damn chance half the time and has to be elite/perfect (which he clearly is not) to have success with this dumpster fire of a team.
Trevor is an average qb, he’s getting paid too much because Baalke paid him too much and too early. Good for him and his agent, Baalke is a moron. He’s never going to live up to that contract.
That said, they played the no. 1 defense in the nfl today, he’s getting paid was under pressure instantly pretty much every snap and receivers were not getting open with any kind of consistency and the jags abandoned the run game again. We were down two of our best te’s, our best WR, and BTJ. Reverse the situation and give him the time that mills had today he would’ve picked apart the jags defense the same way (as would any average nfl qb). Hes not generational, he’s ok, he’s Jared Goff pretty much without the competent organization behind him.
22 points should’ve been enough to beat the Texans in the state they were today. This one is squarely on the defense.
Lawrence is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get

Watch him leave and be the next Baker, Darnold, Jones, etc
He isn’t on the defense who gave up points
But like who tf do we get instead?
Defense had a 19 point lead and only had to make one stop in the 4th quarter.
Watching a few..lowlights… Still an amazing 1 handed pick, but holy fuck if this man just put a little touch on his passes instead of 100% fastball, Tammell is still running.
