With the Mavericks already in a significant hole when it comes to simply reaching the playoffs, league sources tell The Stein Line that the rising and virtually ceaseless negativity that surrounds the franchise is indeed wearing on and troubling ownership.

While Dumont seemingly prefers to give Harrison more time, contemplating whether an in-season change is the wisest course for the Mavericks to try to forge ahead post-Dončić has become unavoidable at the highest levels of the organization .

  1. Lmfao. Just a complete disaster. Everyone involved in that trade must have been huffing Drano. The horse is just a pulp of meat and powdered bone at this point but it really can’t be said enough how catastrophic and inexplicably stupid of a move that was.

  2. Maybe don’t trade a generational talent for a washed up injury prone player. Ownership and the franchise deserve all the hate they get.

  3. Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions.

    – Mavs ownership (not at all, they’re delusional)

  4. The worst trade in sports history should carry an aura of negativity around your franchise. Good. Dumb fucks.

  5. The craziest part of this whole situation is that the best thing for them to do at this point is tank and get a high draft pick since they own their 2026 pick and don’t have another until 2031.

However, they would be going into a full rebuild that will take years to get back to the championship contending position they were JUST in and gave it up for no reason

  6. I can’t imagine how much money the owners have lost by trading Luka. I could see the net loss of the trade for the owners being several hundred million dollars

  7. The more the mavs lose, the more likely Nico will be fired. The owners have an easy reset button since all the blame is being placed onto Nico

  8. Dallas Mavericks got what they deserved, trading Luka was a terrible trade and will go down as one of the worst trades in nba history, for them to get the number 1 pick right after that is straight up embarrassing and it really begs the question how “rigged” is the nba especially with all this illegal gambling talk that’s been happening over the past year.

  9. Dumont is just as much a problem as Harrison. Speaking from a titans fan, you can’t overcome shitty ownership mavs bros. It’s fucking over. Cuban selling was a massive swing in the shitty direction of that franchise.

  10. It’s still pretty shocking honestly. And I think it will look worse as the years go on. Flagg might be a great player but the bad juju from that trade will have an effect on everyone

  11. I can’t believe the guy whose mother in law is one of the most evil people on earth is also an incompetent, feckless rube

  12. It sounds like it’s starting to affect their bottom line. Good fuck the Adelsons and Fire Nico.

  13. Mavs made the finals and Nico was like, gotta get rid of our generational star, he’s overweight. lol

  14. Look Flagg may be a good player, but I just don’t see him ever reaching the heights of Doncic. He’s more of a Shawn Marion to me.

  15. Good. The negativity will continue until Nico loses his job, and probably for several years after. I’ll never stop feeling bad for Mavs fans.

  16. it took them a full season to realize what everyone in r/nba has been saying since the trade went down.

  17. It’s insane how lakers historically just fucking fleece everyone. It’s just inept. Don’t forget this sibreddit was sucking Nico the fuck off for his gafford and lively moves

  18. I don’t care how bad the Mavs are right now. I need to see them get worse. Fuck that piece of shit owner, the Adelsons are some of the most evil people on earth. I want to see the team they own crash and burn. Unless they sell the team then it’s a different story.

  19. They traded away the star player (and fan favorite) of a team that was two wins away from winning the championship.

Mavs’ fans will never get over it.
