this man has single handely kept rich mckay a job, gave Dan Quinn a SB appearence, got Mike smith in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP, led this franchise to Multiple Playoff appearences Where every loss was a team that either made or won the SB, was consistent even with constant OC changes,Won an MVP(thanks Shanny). Yea I get it he wasn't the most eye popping generational talent, but he was Mr. Consistent and I hate this team for not getting him More protection because God i would take him if he was still healthy and in game shape with this Team in 2025. I hate the colts more and more Good Game though Indianapolis. Not ready to give up on MP9 yet but Matt would be perfect for this team.

  3. 2008-2017, the first 10 seasons of Matt Ryan in Atlanta, we had 5 straight winning seasons, only 2 losing seasons, 3 division titles, two 13 win seasons with the #1 seed, 2 trips to the NFC championship game, and 1 trip to the Super Bowl. Those were the most exciting years to be a Falcons fan ever, and my dad used to take me to at least one game every year during that time frame (I went to 3 home games in 2016).

    I don’t know if anyone realizes this, but you know Matt Ryan led teams are responsible for half of our division titles in franchise history? We only have 6 division titles in 60 years, 3 of those with Matt Ryan, in 1 decade. the other 3 were Steve Barkowski 1 time, Chris Chandler 1 time, and Michael Vick 1 time, which were all in separate decades. Most of our division titles are with QB’s we drafted in the 1st round, so I hope the same can happen for Penix in the future.

  4. Just think… Ryan says go fuck yourself to the call from the sideline and sneaks the ball up the middle 3 times and we win the Superbowl.

  5. He was so much better than a lot of people realized. Most of the fan base realized how good we had it, but there was always that subset that wanted him gone.

    I think Penix can be the guy, but he just has zero confidence right now. Worried itā€™s gonna turn into a Baker situation where we get rid of him and he goes to tear it up somewhere else

  6. Before Matt Ryan the Atlanta Falcons never had back to back winning seasons. If it werenā€™t for him we might honestly be considered the worst franchise in the league.

  7. Man I’m still so sad about that Super Bowl. Not even for myself as a fan, or because its never going to be lived down or whatever. Matt fucking deserved it and he played well enough to win the damn game. Blah.

  9. What makes you a Penix fan? I want to be, but he seems really mediocre so far, even taking bad coaching into account.

  10. God could you imagine if we ever had like 3 consecutive seasons of serviceable defense and good o-line play while we had him?

  12. No BS, I would give up any player or players from the Falcons to have this guy play for us again
