THIS IS WHY The San Francisco 49ers Got Smacked By The Rams #shorts 49ers News

49ers fall to the Rams 42 to 26. They dropped their record to 6-4. Why did the Niners lose this game? Well, I talked all week about the worries that I had for San Francisco going into this game. So much in week five when they pulled off that upset as 8 and a half point underdogs went right for the Niners. They got career performances. They made clutch plays. They won the turnover battle. And early in that game, they took that early lead while playing keep away. They kept that Rams offense on the sideline. Today was the exact opposite of that. The Rams controlled the ball. The Rams won the turnover battle. And this defense stinks. This is why I wanted John Lynch to make a move or moves going into the deadline because they’re so obviously one or two players short. Couldn’t get after the quarterback. Stafford four touchdowns, no picks. Couldn’t stop the run. Kairen Williams, Blake Cororm had both really good days. Receiving wise, Devonte Adams, and Puka Nua were carving up an awful back seven for San Francisco. And it didn’t help that the offense struggled at times and they wasted a really good M. performance.

  1. Can we cut our Center dude gets pushed back, as soon as the ball snaps, Kyle really needs to start looking into making moves with young players and practice squad time to really invest next years stock.

  2. No excuse for how poorly played on both sides of the ball. But another week and another game of awful officiating. Bad calls and no calls wouldn't have made a difference in this game. But I can't be thr onky one who thinks PFF should be rating officials the same way the rate players.

P.S. Your not wrong. Mac did a great job today. He still needs more protection to shine, IMHO.

  3. 49ers need to learn how to wrap up the receiver with the ball, all this shoulder hitting isn’t working and never will. Man the fuck up defense and play like your life is on the line!!!!!

  4. Let’s keep it real real talk. The 49ers gave up on this season and general manager. Lynch should be held accountable, fired and prosecuted.

  5. 9ers would've needed to play a near perfect game and get some breaks to win this one — just like last time. But when it became obvious the refs were not going to make any impactful calls on the Rams — despite blatant PI, OPI, holding and illegal blocks in the back — the 49ers had zero chance of winning that game.
Yes, the frequent PI was bad, but it was actually three separate tunnel screens on 3rd downs that the Rams blocked in the back more than 1 yard down field. The blocks were egregious, obvious and out in space for everyone to see. When the refs didn't call it, the Rams kept going back to it on key 3rd downs.
Ultimately, the 9ers made enough mistakes that they were very unlikely to win the game, but an undermanned team facing a good team PLUS Chiefs-like officiating made it impossible to even compete.

  6. Can we PLEASE stop talking about Kyle Shanahan as a "great play caller"? I think he is a schematic genius, but he continuously force feeds CMC on key plays when everyone in the stadium expects him to get the ball, and he calls basic dives or off tackle calls as if he has a dominant O-line. No misdirection, counters or fakes to exploit the defense's over aggressive pursuit. But on the few plays that there is a fake, play action or the ball goes to an underutilized player, they have success. The 9ers have been depleted at WR and it was obvious that their weak running game could benefit from 3 TE sets. Defense has no idea who's blocking and who's going out, and you've got optimal blocking when you want to run the ball. Kyle decides to play scrub WRs instead. Meanwhile, McVay goes to a 3 TE set even with great WRs and dominates the depleted 9ers D. SO frustrating.

  7. Well the rams didn’t have Puka Nacua and we still had Fred Warner the first time. It can really be boiled down to as simple as that. Also, if the niners made a move, it’s most likely that it would have cost them at least two first round picks, and I don’t see anyone available in the league right now worth getting fleeced like that. One addition for two years of draft stock when you have this many injuries already would have been an absolutely idiotic move, prove me wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

  8. Im not sure if the defense sucks or if the defensive line is so bad that it makes the entire defense look bad. Stafford had all day to throw and the defense backs can only cover for so long

  9. Hear me out, the NFC West will come down to SF and Seattle battling for 2nd place and whichever team wins that last game of the season wins second in the West and earns that playoff spot. U believe SF wins and there ain’t no telling what happens in the playoffs.

Ps I wish they would have made a move to help the D before the deadline but oh well.

  10. We have 1 interception all season long.Thats a flaw based on defensive flaw .We have zero pass rush with Stafford roasting marsmellows after building a fire with zero pressure on him. Playoffs??? Stop talking playoffs going foward .We have struggled all season long since losing Bosa .We barely beat bad teams and with a easy schedule for a SB year being played in our house with our front office lacking ability to trade or bring talent .Look at the weapons the Rams have all over their team compared to ours. This defense cant tackle , cant cover , cant rush , cant cover kockoff returns. EVERYTHING other then Mac, CMC amd Kittle we are far more then a player or two away .Our safeties are unable to locate the ball our DEs was no wjere mear Stafford .Complete embarrassment. SO FRUSTRATING to watch us always get injured every single year other then 2 years ..Its time to burn it down and build back up .

  11. Yeah & how much $$$ is tied up with 1 player that has only played 1 game this yr… Man I'm telling ya if BROCK doesn't get healthy soon & perform Mac will TAKE his job !!! just how this GAME works!!!
