  1. I would’ve liked to get Saiki, but Hanshin doesn’t want to let him go yet. Imai might be good, but he might end up like Fujinami.

  2. Not familiar with the process but when a posting is rejected is that the team who says no we still own your rights or how does it work?

  3. Okamoto and Imai are probably the most polished and best fits for the Mets. Though I’d rather keep Pete than sign Okamoto.

  4. Okamoto. I’m not sold on Murakami, especially with his 37% whiff rate and from what I heard on Rico a .095 BA against pitches above 93mph.

I’m honestly unfamiliar with the pitchers that were posted.

  5. can go back and pick up anthony kay again and reclaim what was lost with the stroman trade

  6. I don’t think it’s ideal but I also don’t think he’s interested in being a DH. He’s also the best 1B available this year. No QO. He’s going to have a lot of leverage this offseason to get what he wants.

If we’re going to preserve space for Benge and Jett and also improve the offense, 1B and DH are pretty much the only available options barring trades to key players.
