Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride and Jordan Clarkson on Knicks’ 134-98 win over Nets

You guys were doing great and third quarters,
especially on the road. There, you guys have been blowing teams
out of the third since you’ve been home. Is there anything different approach? I think our approach and
everything we do is always going to stay the same, getting better to our detail and
attention to is a, there’s a key factor in us being better than the third
quarter. Now playing the first half,
understanding what we’re doing wrong and it coming out and
trying to address it right away. So I’m trying to Focus on the little
things for soon teams and you’re winning team. Like this. There can be those letdowns,
they’re just human nature. You will see it all the time
professionals. Was there a discussion about it
with their mindset of our? Why is this team not fall? I think we’re growing as a team, it was definitely a problem.
What for us last year at the reporters, especially the
playoffs were not our friend. So we’re just trying to address
as best we can. And That’s what the little things.
How much work has a team done in the court three is made that
shot such a weapon issued, I think him down to the corners
and especially in terms of numbers with the floor and also
when really able to drive an attack seems and now they
collapsed on the floor. And now we know where we can throw a blind past. We
know people are going to be there and so on you’ve been
working on a lot and getting to execute and then knock it down
and kind of related to that you guys leaving leaving 40-point
quarters so far to start the year. Just What do you see
in that allowing? You guys to
have that much like its Firepower to start games? Well, not really
an individual. Yeah. I mean, we’re able to put
the ball in the basket now but we got to limit those 40.4 as
well. I think they had one today or close to it so we can’t just trade baskets
and we’re a good team to play them on the defensive side of
the ball. We’re just can’t physically
meant to this team. Seems like these last couple of years
firmly on his like establishing himself in the post. Yeah, doing just that establish
himself and working this way from inside the
key and the outside, you know, It’s just
tough garden and only he’s being physical in the, paying
them as I can on shots, you know, you just It depends on what team meeting
with the opposition wants to do. What do they want to give
up? And so for him to continue being
aggressive is will help us say that you can keep getting
better authentically. I know the numbers are pretty damn good right now. So far. I mean how what are the expectations for? What’s
possible? What our expectations you guys
put on we don’t we don’t have
expectations are just looking to get better every single day
and with that being said, being out
you can’t I say, hey, let’s get better at this. This all about
not being complacent and I’m being a fool in the stuff that
we run and everything is Instinct and we’re not thinking about what
we’re doing. Everything is reaction and it comes seamless like that. So,
we’re working towards that. And so get the balls going through the
hoop, but I think we can be a lot better. Oh, gee and Mikhail. How have
you seen them grow? I guess it’s a Duo on the wings since
they first became teammates tonight. Yeah. I mean, I would
say you’re under the belt and I’ll chemistry is growing and really a better that, and I think their temperature
diversity of the pain started ball, as it’s great for our team
and now, and it’ll only get better with time. I think
that’s a really good point quarters worth, a lot of
talented guys playing the right way. Honestly, feel like anybody on
the team, could really go out there and look to get their own.
But we have such a great group of great group of guys
that are just, you know, playing the right way. Looking out for each other. You
guys obviously. You guys expect to win. What can
you take from from a game like this? Exactly. That, we’re supposed to
be wind and we feel like that forever game not just them
so do what we have to do and go out there and you know, like I said, play
together, get the dope, the combination of
OG and Michaela on the wings. I think, when people
first saw the trade, they they
imagined it because both guys are two-way players. Have you
seen them like this kind of grow as if you of subsistence
they got? It’s been great. I feel like for the opposing
team so that’s player. It’s a
tough night. You got, you know, a lot of
physicality and a lot of length.
Um, being guarded by, you know, two guys that just
really want to get stops. The schedule for when you
seeing, do you see 76? Yeah we want to take advantage
of being at home. Absolutely. Just make sure we go out there and take care of
business every night. I think we’re making quicker
decisions. I don’t know necessarily on the
stats or anything like that but I think our decision making is a
lot quicker and guys are you know taking
advantage of it great. You guys have it says they want to play Fast,
right? He’s on my side while you’re sticking with. Yeah, I mean it’s still early in
the season. I feel like we’re not playing fast enough
still. I think we could, you know, be even better. Get the
ball out quicker, turn teams over and keep it up.
Keep ourselves in the open court. Join us a guy that’s new to this
offense, which is new to the team as well. What are you
seeing? That’s working? These last couple of games. I mean, biggest thing for us to
defensively and I was just moving the ball. I
think we all are buying in make a spray passes, playing
fast at a fast pace. So I think all of us Incredible. So we just
like you continue to do that is Geralyn this the other day but I’m wondering
if you like what’s the difference right now in the
team from what was a week ago, we had some struggles on the
road. I think we just figured it out, keep it easy to get better each day and all of us just like it in on
that. I think we’re doing a great job. Like I said, you
can simply all down the line and offensively removing the ball taking advantage of the opportunities that we get. We let me fly and compete. Nothing I’m telling on
him but did you see Josh giggling when you threw your
headband? Yeah, he always on me so but now you make me laugh. I was
always kind of sit with you got me right here. What’s been different for you
individually during this home Stan you’re like shooting over
50 or 56% from the field over 40 percent from three. Is it
just you getting more comfortable in the system? Yeah, no doubt still think I got a long way to
go in terms of all the calls and all the
movement that we have. Offensively but it’s taking, you know, some time
to get used to, you know, everybody and the system and coaches. Well, so I’m just trying to stay locked in on that offensively and defensively for
me. It’s just being in the right spot to try to bring anything I can on
that him for you guys to have been struggle when I really
strong with trying to get a grasp of the new offense but eight or nine games in the
whatever to leave. The NBA 40-point quarters just is that a
good indication of where the offense is and what the
understanding is over right now, I think so like I said, I think
we all just trying to figure it out, figure out our spots. I mean I
can speak for myself just spots one way to school on the floor
and keep potato, move the ball and
playing in the next actions. I think we just continue to get better
and keep them comfortable with it. I think we will be pretty
good. You played with a bunch of
capable Defenders. I’m just wonder where having Michaela, no
g at the same time on the floor, with our ranks with the
different types of Defenders
about Mendoza, probably the best perimeter Defender. Is that
I’ll play with if not the best defenders that
I’ll play with stuff, including Mitch, as well. So, all those guys do a great job of
tricking, the floor, making guys, you know, speed up, turn the ball over. Block shots,
you know, they all over the floor.

Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride and Jordan Clarkson reacted to the Knicks 134-98 win vs. the Brooklyn Nets. Brunson said the team needs to keep improving, while McBride said he thinks they can play more up tempo. Clarkson cited defense and ball movement as keys going forward.
