Stafford would then have 2 SB’s to Kurt Warner’s 1, Warner would have two MVP’s to Stafford’s 1.

Thoughts??

  1. I think so. Before this season I would had said that Stafford is second but if he finishes this year strong than he clearly number 1 in my mind.

  2. I’d say yes. Even though Kurt was the QB of the Greatest Show on Turf Rams. Also, what nickname do these Stafford led Rams even go by anyway?

  3. It’s a shame for Stafford that he was stuck on that defunct lions organization for so long.

Imagine if he were 10 yrs younger and managed to synch up with McVay as soon as McVay was hired as coach. They’d build a dynasty.

  4. Kurt was only the QB for 4 seasons. Matthew has now been our QB for 4 seasons. Kurt has 1 SB win. 2 MVPs. Matt has 1 SB win. If he wins the SB this season AND an MVP I would say yes. But as of now I think Kurt just because he probably led the stretch of perhaps the best offense ever assembled

  5. He’ll have a similar length of tenure, and an extra super bowl beats out an extra MVP imo.

  6. As a lifelong fan, I’ll always say Warner because the “Greatest Show on Turf” was a cultural phenomenon that defined the franchise. That said, if Stafford wins another Super Bowl and an MVP, I’ll be too busy crying tears of joy to argue.

  7. I think he’s already there. But I’m biased because i didnt watch or follow the Rams during their StL years. A second SB win would pass Warner so it would cement it for sure.

  8. Kurt has the higher peak but Stafford has the higher consistency which makes him our goat franchise qb

  9. I think he already has just based on the fact that kurt has such a distaste for the rams. We cant have our all time great qb be someone who doesnt even like the rams.

  10. I mean Warner has the bigger story to tell. But Stafford would win his rings with 4 years in between and basically 2 different support casts. I’d route for Stafford.

  11. I’m a huge Greatest Show on Turf fan, but in your scenario:
Warner would have won 1 Super Bowl with 6 seasons with the rams. Stafford would have won 2 in 5 seasons with us.
    Kinda speaks for itself.

  12. Might already be, but I’d say either an MVP or another ring makes it clear. He’s already passed him in every statistical category including wins.

  13. Not sure, as Warner completely changed the culture from laughingstock to SB champion team. Stafford came here after we had just lost a SB and already had a winning culture in place. Apples to oranges.

  14. I am not an authority on the Rams, but to me, if he win either MVP or another ring, hes my all time QB.

  15. He definitely will in my Buddy’s eyes. He got crazy odds before the season started on a parlay for Stafford to win mvp + rams win Super Bowl. He bet $50 at +30,000

  16. 2 SBs and 1 MVP > 1 SB & 2 SB’s.

Now Stafford would have to get both IMO to do so and neither are any guarantee but that would lock it up IMO

  17. Warner views himself more as a cardinal than a ram anyways. He picks other teams over us, even though we are the clear favorites.
