We need to do a round up of the “Rattler is clearly better than Shough because he won the training camp battle”
As a Shough truther from the very start I don’t wanna over praise him for playing well 1 game. Still a ways to go but it makes the rest of the season exciting to watch so even if people are changing their tune, it’s a good thing to get behind the guy now.
Calm down. We only beat the Panthers.
People are very weird. I will root for whoever the saints start.
I was considered a Rattler defender by a lot of people in here. I said he was better than Shough was at the start of the season, that he should continue to start until he started being the reason we were losing games, and that Shough had higher upside and needed some time to hopefully fix some of his issues.
All that happened, but I am not going to screenshot myself and post it. I just get excited and watch the season unfold, and root for the saints. It really does feel like a lot of “fans” care more about being right than they do about enjoying and rooting for their team.
I see a lot of the people who were being annoying when Rattler was starting trying to claim victory, but hindsight doesnt fix the fact that yall were throwing out reactionary takes based on weak info at the time.
Whether you win or lose the lottery, buying the ticket was a dumb and illogical decision.
To be clear, idc about Rattler and idk if this is you. Congrats on calling it. Just want to make this crystal clear for some of the nuts who may feel vindicated right now.
He looked solid, but it was the Panthers. His big plays were wildly blown coverages. I’m not knocking him, just saying that we should probably pump the brakes on handing him the keys to the franchise over two games where the offense scored 10 points and 17 points.

What is this weird “i was right, you were wrong” mentality in this sub? I didn’t think Shough was gonna play like that after the rams game, but one game against a not so good team where he looks really good isn’t a mountain for you to stand on and demand anything. I’ll admit I wanted Rattler to have a chance and after the first half of the season, he doesn’t appear to be the guy and I’m so glad to see Shough look the way he did yesterday, but settle down. We are all rooting for this team to win, but y’all sound like babies screaming about who was right.

People love to downvote the truth. Like the fact that Shough is still ass, we scored 17 against a team making mistakes and this is his first and possibly only W.
Of course if I’m wrong I will eat my shoe and stream it.
It’s been 1 game. He looked good, but I’d like to see how he develops. Personally, as much as I like Rattler, he wasn’t the spark we need on offense. Shough seems to synergize with the weapons we have currently better than him. People don’t have amnesia, a lot of people don’t follow college football outside of LSU because the transfer portal makes it annoying. Most people are fans of teams, not a specific player so usually if that person transfers to another college, they stop following that player.

I liked what I saw from him too but the amount of chest beating and back patting going on over one game against a not very good team is setting up for an inevitable collapse
My therapist wants me to formally apologize to y’all for taking a shit on Olave last week, which y’all rightfully downvoted me to hell for, because that one handed catch has me believing in God again

I’ve said before that I was afraid Shough would be good enough to win just enough games to put us in a worse draft position but not good enough to a franchise QB. I’m still concerned that may be the case. But I’ve also said that I would love for him to prove me wrong and be THAT guy. If he keeps balling like this I’m excited to see his growth
Some of you guys would rather be right about Rattler/Shough more than our teams success and I honestly wish this website had less of y’all.
Real fans are rooting for whoever brings us more wins and not constantly looking to start shit with fans of the SAME TEAM because of two unproven QBs!!!

We beat Carolina, a divisional team. We still only have 2 wins and 2 mediocre quarterbacks. Rattler got a win too. They both are lackluster.
