What a garbage wasted season, again.
Will be awesome to get to watch a month (hopefully more) of this guy. I’m sure they’re not rushing him back if he doesn’t feel like he’s ready, but him sitting just because the playoffs look unlikely was never going to happen, as much as this sub wants it to
I really hope they steroids the fuck out of that toe to make it strong again. Don’t even care if he pops hot.

What is Burrow going to provide for this team? I love him and he’s great so this isn’t about him, but unless he is suddenly able to play defense this is an idiotic move. It reeks of trying to bolster next years season ticket sales now that people are finding out that the prices are going up while the number of games are going down.

Don’t put him back in. He’s not warmed up and Flacco is doing well. Let him rest more so he comes back in peak shape. Our o line is still balls. I know this is unpopular but please. I’m scared.
Might be a hot take but I actually want to see him comeback even if the season is a wash because 1. He’s fun to watch and 2. I want to see if he can play well under the offense we’re running with Flacco (more under-center play and throwing the ball away to avoid an unnecessary sack)
With that defense, why even bother.

This moves feels like coaching and FO are thinking “Were only losing because Joes hurt let’s get him back as soon as possible” hopefully doesn’t end in reinjury
If we’re going to treat Burrow like a China doll, what’s the point of any of this?

They have to play Burrow because if Flacco continues to impress, there will be a “quarterback controversy”.
So the defense has a couple games to show up and give reason to NOT shut Joe down for 2025. Seriously, I see no point risking him the remainder of the year if the defense is going to continue to shit the bed. Why risk Joe’s 2026 for a failed 2025 Playoff push if the defense is going to give up 30-plus?!
This is pointless unless we somehow win out
