Live I first thought he was showboating and thought “oh boyyy godamnit”. Then when I realized he was checking in with Vrabel to kneel or not I was blown away and deeply impressed. This team has become something very special.

What amazes me is how fast he blew past everyone to even try doing this and getting the go ahead

In retrospect, wouldn’t going down at the 1 have been smarter though? Mayfield drove down the field and scored almost immediately, and then the Bucs were one incredible Diggs play away from a recovered onside kick. I’d like to see some analysis on this, but I’m not so sure Vrabel gave Hendo the right information.
I’ve been watching Pats football for most of my life now, and this is one of the coolest plays I’ve seen. I was so impressed that he checked with the coaches, but I was also wowed by the fact that he’s fast enough to slow down, check, and then speed back up towards the end zone.
This team feels special. Even if it’s not Super Bowl bound, it’s been so much fun watching them come together.
“Yes, but take your shoes off you’re an adult”
Look, given the circumstances, and the current record, you can bounce to your hearts content.
But only until Thursday coz we’ve got a game again!
Luckily, there are other bouncy things to keep you entertained.
This play reminded me of that scene towards the end of the first Incredibles movie where Dash is running the 100m and his family is telling him how fast to go.
Anyone have a video? I was at a baby shower and missed the game 🥲
