Things Just Got VERY INTERESTING For The San Francisco 49ers…

[Music] Things just got very interesting for the San Francisco 49ers after their week 10 loss to the Rams going into week 11. You’re watching the San Francisco 49ers report. Chase Senior here with you and don’t forget to support the show by hitting that thumbs up icon, subscribing to the channel, leave a comment down below, and I’m so glad all of you are here hanging out with me. Now, let’s begin here because it really does set the foundation and sets the table for what we’re going to talk about here today because things are very interesting for the Niners. Very intriguing inside this division and for the entire NFC playoff landscape. First, the NFC West standings. The NerS now dropped to six and four after that bad loss to the Los Angeles Rams in which their defense could not stop a park car. The Seahawks 7-2. They’ve been on fire of late. More on them in a moment. two- one inside the division. The Rams 7-2, one- one inside the NFC West. The Ners by far have played the most games in this division among the NFC West foes. They are 3-1 in this division, but six and four on the year. And then the Arizona Cardinals, they got blasted yesterday by the Seattle Seahawks on the road. They are 3-6 and winless in the NFC West. And as I predicted prior to the year starting for the 2025 campaign, this NFC West is highly competitive. And I had said it wouldn’t surprise me if three or four teams by season’s end are battling to win this division and everything going into week 11 is so close as far as the standings, as far as the records outside of the Arizona Cardinals, of course. But when we looked at the divisional odds and we looked at the outlook for every team in this division, the Cardinals by far were ranked number four for everybody out there. As for the Seattle Seahawks, right, they are at top this division and they are rolling right now since losing to the Niners in week one. It’s a high quality win for San Francisco on the road. Seattle 7 and one in their eight games since that opening loss to the Niners at home. And the only game that the Seahawks lost was that wild game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where the Bucks went up. Then the Seahawks came surging back and then late in the game both teams were on the seessaw going back and forth exchanging touchdowns. And then Sam Darnold after Baker Mayfield led a scoring drive. He got picked off the helmet of a Buccaneers defender chip shot field goal for Tampa Bay. They could have easily won that game. And they’ve been led this year by Sam Darnold. You know who wishes they still had Sam Darnold as their quarterback? The Minnesota Vikings. They let him walk. He signed a pretty affordable contract for Seattle. And what a move it’s been by John Schneider, the GM and the Seahawks organization to bring him in because Darnold has been worth every penny in a robust quarterback market. He’s very affordable and this year he’s been balling under Clint Kubak who used to be under Kyle Shanahan and could be in the running for some head coaching jobs this off seasonason. Darnell completing 71% of his passes for more than 2200 yards, 17 touchdowns through the year, six picks. will put the ball in harm’s way, but a great arm, really good athlete, can make plays with his legs, has a quarterback rating as well to boot of 116.5. His number one receiving option, Jackson Smith and Jigba. This off season, what did the Seahawks do? Got rid of DK Metaf, got rid of Tyler Lockett, two pivotal members of their receiving core. And they did that because they had confidence that JSM was an elite player and was going to break out. Well, he’s setting records at this point. I mean, look at the production already going into week 11. 63 catches. He’s already over 1,000 yards. Leads the NFL. 16 and a half yards per catch, five receiving touchdowns on 85 targets. This is such a complete team that the Seahawks have. I think they are a threat in the NFC to possibly represent the NFC. Super Bowl 60 at Levi Stadium. But of note, of course, the Niners beat Seattle in week one. That’s a quality win. Look at what this ball club has done on offense and defense. Third in points per game, ninth in yards per game, second in yards per play. They’ve had a lot of explosives. 16th on third downs, number six in the red zone. On defense, fifth in points per game, ninth in yards per game, fourth in yards per play, 12th third down percentage, and seventh in the red zone. They are a top five, top 10 unit on offense and on defense. their remaining schedule here. Some difficult games here, no doubt. Huge one coming up this week and it’s going to be in that Sunday afternoon slot at Rams, home against the Titans, home against the Vikings, on the road against the Falcons, home against the Colts. They play the Rams again on the road against the Panthers at 49ers. Of course, you’re hoping that Seattle can drop a few of those games and the Niners can go on a run. Talk about the Niners here in just a moment. Why would you go anywhere else? Continue to hang out here with us. As for the Los Angeles Rams in second place in this division, the Rams are also hot. They have four straight wins. All of those wins coming since that shocking loss to the Niners back in week five. So, you think about what the Niners have done this year. They’ve already beaten Seattle playoff team. They’ve already beaten the Rams playoff team in this division. And so their divisional record is something they can hang their hat on, but something that can help them by season’s end in trying to make the playoffs. This is why all of this is so interesting. The Rams led by Matthew Stafford, who is having an MVP caliber season. I’m not sure how he’s not getting more buzz to be the most valuable player. He’s maybe having the best season of his career. And I mentioned this yesterday during our postgame show. He’s completing 67% of his passes, 2400 yards, 25 touchdowns to two interceptions this season. What a fantastic touchdown to pick rate. And he has a quarterback rating of 114.8. So him and Darnold just playing marvelous football this season. And the Rams, I actually think their defense is a little bit overrated. They’ve struggled at times against the NerS in the second half. They couldn’t stop a nose bleed against the Eagles. On paper though, they have some good rankings on defense. Second in points per game, 11th in yards per game, sixth in yards per play, second on third downs, number three red zone touchdown scoring percentage. And then on offense, another solid unit here. Fifth in points per game, fifth in yards per game, ninth in yards per play, 11th on third downs and in the red zone. The Rams remaining schedule, home against the Seahawks, home against the Buccaneers. That’s these two games, excuse me, really going to be huge games inside the NFC for playoff seating and implications, right? Then the Rams go on the road against the Panthers, on the road against the Cardinals, home against the Lions at Seahawks, home against the Falcons, home against the Cardinals to round out the year. So, you look at the Rams schedule, you look at the Seahawks schedule, there are some games in which they could potentially drop from here on out, but right now they are both white hot football teams. As for the Cardinals, not worried about them winning this division. And I’m bringing up winning the division because if the Niners can somehow pull that off, and we’ll look at their schedule here in a moment, you host a playoff game. You host that playoff game. You’ve got home field advantage. You win that. Anything can happen when you’re in the dance. Now, as far as the Cardinals go, record-wise, not good. But all year, really outside of that Seattle game, they’ve been in every single game. I mean, there was a stretch where they lost three or four straight games on last second field goals. So, they’re pesky and I think they’re a better offense with Jacobe Brassette at quarterback. their remaining schedule. Niners at Jags, at Bucks, home against the Rams, on the road against the Texans, home against the Falcons, at Bengals, and at Rams. I don’t expect them to be a threat in this division, of course, and obviously their divisional record. They are now 0 and3 really hurts them so far. Let’s talk about the Niners here. For as bad as Sunday’s loss was against the Rams, the Niners really have an opportunity here to take control of their season over the next month. I know a lot of you like me very frustrated by the fact that the Niners did not make a move at the NFL trade deadline. They’re so obviously a few defenders short and making a move for a defender or two would really help them the rest of the way on defense because they have so many holes there. But over the next month, Niner fans, this is good news for everybody wanting San Francisco to make the playoffs here. They are going to be favorites in their next four games with a by-week sprinkled in there. And so the Niners have an opportunity here to really grab the 2025 camp by campaign by the neck and make a playoff push. They should beat the Cardinals, right? On the road going to be hard, but they should beat Arizona. They’re the better team, especially coming off a loss, right? Week 12, Panthers Monday Night Football. Panthers have been competitive, but you should win that game. Week 13 on the road against the Browns. Kyle Shanahan has always struggled against Jim Schwarz, but you should win that game because Cleveland stinks. You have your week 14 buy and then week 15 against the Titans. So, you look at this slate here. Next five weeks for San Francisco, four of these games are extremely winnable to make a playoff push at Cardinals, home against the Panthers on Monday night, at Browns by week, and then you play one of the worst teams in football in the Tennessee Titans. Then after that, the final three weeks of the year, you’re on the road against the Colts on Monday night. That’s going to be a huge game for both teams. Week 17 against the Bears on Sunday Night Football. This game right here could be a playoff game, a de facto playoff game in week 17 of the regular season and then another huge one against the Seahawks. These final three games are very hard, which is what makes the next four games and the next five weeks for San Francisco extremely crucial and very interesting. Now, will the Niners make the playoffs? That is today’s poll question. Let me know down in the comments section how you’re feeling about this. P for playoffs, M for miss. Let me know right now. Prize picks. It’s good to be right now. As of right now, going into Monday Night Football, if the season were to end, the Niners would be on the outside looking in of the NFC playoff picture, meaning they would not be a playoff team as of right now after losing to the Rams. The NFC playoff picture looks as such. The Seattle Seahawks at 7-2. If the Eagles win tonight, they will move up to the number one seed. They have a better conference record than Seattle. And so, right now, Seahawks, they have homefield advantage in the number one seed. that could be shortlived. We’ll see what happens between the Eagles and the Packers. Eagles the two seed, Packers the three seed. The Bucks were the two seed going into this week with a loss. They have dropped down to the number four seed. They lost at home to the New England Patriots. The three wildcard teams here, Los Angeles Rams number five seed at 7-2. The Lions with Dan Campbell calling the offensive plays, the six seed at six and three, and then the Bears, the seven seed at six and three as well. And you have to imagine, right, two maybe three teams in the NFC North make the playoffs. Can three teams sneak in in the NFC West? We’ll certainly see. Only one team I think is going to get in in the NFC East, that’s going to be Philadelphia. But which division of the NFC North or the NFC West gets three teams in? Because I don’t think the NFC South either gets a second team in there. So, as of right now, you have the Seahawks and the Rams from the NFC West in the playoff hunt, or at least in this NFC playoff picture, right? And then you have those three teams in the NFC North, the Packers, Rams, and Bears. I don’t see the Packers falling apart. And for the NFC North elsewhere, I don’t see the Lions collapsing. And then in the NFC West, I think the Seahawks and the Rams are damn good teams. And so, a lot of the focus here on for the rest of the year is going to be on the Chicago Bears there at 6 and three. You see the other teams in the mix. Niners six-4 right on the outside looking in Carolina 5-5. I don’t take them seriously. Minnesota 4-5. They don’t have a good enough quarterback situation. Dallas 35-1. No chance. And then Arizona, Atlanta 3 and six. Washington 3-7. New Orleans and the Giants at 2 and eight. I’m not taking any of these teams seriously outside of San Francisco in the other category. Right. And so I think the Niners really going to be competing with the Bears the rest of the way for that seven seed. The Bears, they started the season six and uh 0 and2, excuse me. They are six and one in their last seven games. But for Chicago, this is huge for the Niners. Niners schedule is pretty easy. Bears schedule really starts to ramp up. on the road against Minnesota, home against the Steelers, at Philadelphia on Black Friday, on the road against the Packers, at Browns, Packers again at home, that’s a Saturday game, on the road against the Niners. That could be a huge one as I noted. And then week 18, they round out against the Detroit Lions at home. So, if you’re a Niner fan and you want the Niners to make the playoffs here, you’re hoping that Chicago can drop some of these games, especially over the next month, and the Niners can win some of these games over the next month because that could really decide what that final wildcard team is when the playoffs come around. And remember what happened in 2021, the Niners were underdogs against Dallas in the wildard round. They won. They were underdogs against the number one seated Green Bay Packers in the divisional round. They won. They were up 17-7 in the NFC title game against the Rams. Should have won that game. What happened? Rams go on to win the Super Bowl against Cincinnati. So, when you get in the playoffs, really, anything can happen. As for Carolina, look, I’m not taking them seriously. As I mentioned, they’ve been feisty. They’ve been competitive. I like what Dave Canales has been able to do as a head coach for that football team, but do you really think they’re going to make a push at the postseason? I don’t think so. I think the NFC is too stacked, but the Niners can control that by just beating Carolina at Monday Night Football or in Monday Night Football on Monday Night Football in a couple of weeks, right? The Panthers remaining schedule at Falcons, at NerS, home against the Rams, Saints at home, home against the Bucks, Seahawks, and then Bucks. Obviously, one of these games is an away game, but that’s a pretty difficult remaining slate for Carolina there. And so with that, I think they drop out and the Niners can make them drop out or at least win the head-to-head by beating Carolina Monday Night Football in a couple of weeks. The formula the rest of the way for the San Francisco 49ers. They are six and4 right now. They are the number eight seed in the NFC. The defense is young and obviously without a pass rush, the inability to stop the run, they got blasted against the Los Angeles Rams. They got panced. But can the defense show some strides and improvements the rest of the way? You have trust in Robert Salah to maximize this defense the best way that he can, even though he doesn’t have a lot of ingredients to cook with in the kitchen. And so, let’s just say the Ner’s defense plays a little bit better, especially with some easy opponents coming up over the next month, right? That leads me to the offense. This Niners offense, and George KD talked about this after the game, is going to have to carry this team in order for the Niners to make a playoff push and to get into the postseason. And this is what’s going to have to happen. They’re going to be some growing pains with this defense. We said it going into the year. So, this Niners offense getting Ricky Pieraw back, maybe at some point, Brandon Aayuk, although I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t return this year, is going to have to average around 30 points per game. And obviously, if Brock Pretty is healthy, that helps the offense get better and raises their ceiling. If M. Jones continues to play, he’s played awesome football this season. But that’s the formula the rest of the season for a San Francisco. Defense has to improve. Offense has to average around 30 points per game. And if they do that, they can rack up some wins and they can make it into the postseason. When you get in the dance, as I like to say, anything can happen. Don’t forget to hit that subscribe button. Fascinating outlook in the NFC West and the NFC the rest of the way. And I have you covered every step of the way right here on this show. [Music]

  1. York and Lynch have no interest in the SB this year. So sad to have 49er management turn down trades that can help the team. The only way they will listen to the fans is to stop the money…boycott the games, stop buying team merchandise and boycott tv sponsors. Jed has to go!!!!

  2. As Larry Krueger mentioned, there’s no guarantee of a win for the Niners. If the team fails to put pressure on the Quarterback, a mediocre QB could become Joe Montana.

Therefore, no one can predict wins unless Saleh finds a way to pressure the Quarterback and halt the rush. The secondary can’t cover any receiver.

  3. If we didn't have any injuries to our star players we would be 1 player to be Superbowl bound. Instead we have the most injured team once again and our team organization gave up. No trade equalls bad defense, bad offensive line, and bad recieving core.

  4. BROCK SHOULD COME BACK THE DAY AFTER VALENTINE'S DAY 2026… 🤣😂🤣😂🤣.. 💯.. 🐢 KITTLE TALKS TOO MUCH HE GETS 1 CATCH EVERY 3 GAMES AND WALKS AROUND LIKE HE'S MEGATRON.. 🫩💯 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️

  5. The cards will beat the Rams twice and we, the Niners need to win the rest of the division games. But with injuries and the way we played the Rams there was no urgency the first half they look beat up. We didn’t even have a good offense. Our offense was fresh. They should’ve done way more in the second quarter with eight minutes left 10 minutes left. They should’ve ran a two minute offense at least two of the drives.

  6. P… I visualize by the end of next month have already made the playoffs and at the same time most of the injured starters back in the field and with the hunger of victory going all the way for the NFC championship and beating that AFC in the Super bowl… let’s go 49ers for the 6th Super Bowl. If we don’t get our stars back in the field it’s gonna be hard but I still believe in them…

  7. Wait a minute you want the Eagles to win tonight you want the Bears to win Green Bay has the worst record so they missed the playoffs. Our record would beat Green Bay to get in, but we need the number one spot because we don’t wanna go to Seattle in the playoffs

  8. At this point I don't care anymore. None of this shit matters until team addresses the strength and conditioning issue. Brock has been out 7 weeks for an injury that was supposed to keep him out 2 or 3 weeks. Yes Jones is playing awesome football. But as the $265 million dollar man, at some point you've got to sack up and tell the coach Fuck this! Play me!

  9. The 9ers need to fire strength and conditioning coach..wtf.?! 2 best d players done ..our wr corp not together the entire year and still purdy out

  10. P I’m a faithful but I realistic and you never know with our team because there are some good rookies coming off of IR so that’s something to look forward to I guess
