Fickle Canucks fanbase calling for a ‘rebuild’ and ‘tank for McKenna’ #nhlhockeyislife
After some exhaustive research over the weekend, I have come to this conclusion that Drew O’ Connor is the rebuild and we just didn’t know it. Um, good on him. I mean, had the best week of his National Hockey League career and if there’s more there then like that’s terrific. Uh, it is pretty wild. I mean, I think so much of it was the perfect storm of North Vancouver boy comes back and beats the Conucks on Wednesday night and uh you know, this idea of what could be and and meanwhile, well, Connor Bernard is doing his thing. Mlin Celerini is also doing his and so uh you’re right because it is it’s been a funny week and we’ve all been through a bunch of them over the years, but you know, beat Nashville in overtime to wrap up a two in one road trip. again this group where they’ve been think they were feeling pretty good about themselves. They come back they played two scoreless periods against Chicago. Yeah. The third got away from them and at that point people were just ready to burn it all. Uh and then again the entertainment value I think was there for the most part. Uh best players were accounted for over the weekend in both of the games. Uh so does it push the rebuild talk back? I don’t know. I mean let’s see what Tuesday night against Winnipeg brings. That’s just kind of how fickle things are with the fan base right
With the season off to a rocky start, the fickle #canucks fanbase is saying it’s ‘time for a rebuild’ and ‘tank for McKenna’… but it seems Drew O’Connor has other ideas.

He is he has the rebuild. Everyone else has just been pretending to like Vancouver, but also pretending to want to win the Stanley Cup.

2023-24 offseason. Was a rebuild necessary then? How’d things go south from there?
The rebuild doesn’t start until Quinn Hughes is traded.
As far as I can tell, that’s not happening this season.
So like it or not, we’re all in and hoping for a miracle run.
At this point in the season basically every team is “one good win streak away”
