Keaton Mitchell Could Be in Line for a Bigger Role | Baltimore Ravens Final Drive
Happy Veterans Day, Ravens Flock. We want to start by extending our sincere thanks to all who have served, especially those of you in the Ravens flock. Head coach John Harbaugh addressed the media Monday to recap the Ravens win on the road at Minnesota. And one player he mentioned he’s excited to see take on an increased workload is running back Katon Mitchell. The talented Mitchell is a fan favorite and after being inactive early to start the season, he’s made the most of his limited reps, especially most recently in Minnesota. He totaled 31 yards on four carries at the Vikings, including breaking off a 22-yd run in the second quarter. The running back is averaging 6.2 yards per carry and has been a contributor on special teams. And Harbaugh says both his play in practice and his execution on the field have earned him an increased role. Yeah, I would I would say it’s a little bit of both, but probably more Katon, you know, just watching him throughout the course of the season, you could, you know, he’s he’s he’s been working hard, but he’s he was coming back. Hadn’t played a lot last year. And I thought I think he kind of was getting his sea legs back as a football player, you know, offensively and on special teams, both. And he made a big impact on special teams yesterday, twice as a gunner. I don’t know if you noticed, but he had he had one play on the left sideline where he got down there right away. And then he had one where he got tackled and backed him up to the inside the seven yardd line, which was huge for us because it backed him up on that last drive. And then um McCarthy got the big scramble, but only got him out to like the 35 yd line because of that. That was a massive play, kind of hidden yardage play by Katon. But, uh, even as a running back, I I think he’s really starting to in the last, not just now, but in the last probably four weeks, five weeks, you can really starting to see him see him, uh, come alive with a talented running back core that includes Derk Henry and Justice Hill. Harbaugh says the Ravens will be intentional on working Mitchell in. Definitely want to see more Keaton. You know, I think more you can mix it up. It’s hard to take I mean, you know, it’s hard to take plays off Derrick Henry’s plate. You know, that’s that’s a challenge. I you got to you got to I think anybody can understand that but mixing it up is also a good thing too you know and uh I think all the guys uh understand the value of that too. So try to find that it’s going to be game to game probably you know but try to find that uh that world where you know everybody’s most effective. The Ravens will be back on the practice field Wednesday as preparations for a road AFC North matchup at the Browns are underway. Thanks for watching and once again happy Veterans Day. [Music]

Should have been used from game one. Way more dynamic than Hill.
Yeah uh huh John wasting talent and we still didn’t activate Carl Lawson yet
About time only weeks a little too late should’ve used him when Lamar was out and you might only have 3-4 losses instead of 5
Keaton Mitchell needs more snaps John Harbaugh give him more snaps at the ball🐦⬛🖤💜
Put him in but don’t make it PREDICTABLE
Fire Harbaaa already
Wtf..why he hasn’t been a major contributor? harbaaa, FOH
He will be the Temu Jamr Gibbs
He better than Henry. Henry will make us lose… keep getting 1 or 2 yards stalling our drive
Shocking
What happened to G Emery Jones Jr and Carl Lawson. 😮
Use him on 3rd or 4th and shorts for sure…it's that simple …henry can do 1st and 2nd downs
make him rb1
Smh did anyone buy that “excuse”? Because… no
Seriously this cat is so quick. He accelerates and hits that second gear so fast it should be in a car commercial. Did they forget 2023?
We left Keaton on the bench because of Special Teams issues? Okay
Yall won’t admit it, but Kimg Henry is washed and it’s looking like a bad decision by EDC extending him based off last year.
He initially signed a 2 year 12mill deal.
Why not just let him play out the full 2 years?
At most you were going to get high level production from him for 2 years.
There was absolutely zero chance of him maintaining high level production after his 2nd season here.
Now we’ve seen juts how ineffective he truly is without Lamar at peak athletic performance.
But again leave it up 2 EDC to pay premium contracts to the least impactful positions 😂😂
EDC will pay top end money for rbs, off the ball Lb’s and safeties but goes cheap on oline, Pass rushers and wrs the position groups that actually make a legit difference on both sides of the ball
Keaton > Henry
Keaton still doesn’t have that same top end speed/burst he had back in 2023
The game against the Vikings it looked as though power running with Henry wasn't working so well , but going with the speed of Keaton seemed to be more effective
Harbs – yea we’re gonna play the veterans and guys I like best but the “best players on the roster” 😂😂
Keaton Mitchell over Henry! I wanna see more Keaton than henry
About time!
Go ravens !
FINALLY It’s like Montgomery and Gibbs. Henry and Mitchell. It’s exactly what we need.!
Smfh.. The coaching staff is oblivious.
Week 10 & we're talking about Keaton NOW.
He gives him 4 carries in 1 half. Coaching has been trash for waaaaaaay too long
He’d better be!
REALLY!!!
This is after Harbaugh said that there was “no room” for Keaton on the active roster.
