Craig Berube | Post Game @ Boston Bruins | November 11, 2025

the difference was between what happened and the way your team was going early versus the result that push back. Well, we took three penalties. Um first period got behind the eightball. Um I thought this, you know, the second and third we competed hard and battled hard, you know, stuck up for each other. Uh did a lot of good things. Um we just we just we needed some kills tonight. We didn’t get them. What do you think of the group defensively? That’s been a stress point for you lately. Um you know there’s still things we can clean up that uh but at least we were more aggressive and more physical in our defending, more competitive in our defending. Now there’s you know there’s a couple plays there where that’s just reads better reads on a couple plays. um the passion that goal there we got the breakaway and um a couple other ones where he he got behind us a couple times. So those were beats for me but like I said you know the team I thought they uh responded and competed hard. What did you think of this door hit on Austin? I think it’s a penalty personally but I’m not the referee. I don’t like it. I don’t like to hit the ball in position so whatever. I mean, nothing I can do about it. We’ll see tomorrow more than I I mean, right now it’s lower body. We’ll just see tomorrow how he is. Does it seem serious or um I don’t know exactly. I really can’t give you guys a timeline or how serious it is right now. So, um and I’m not sure when he heard it to be honest with you. How about Anthony? He’s also I don’t believe that’s serious. Um, I think he’ll be fine. How did that happen, Anthony? I think it was a play that happened in the first period there. Um, kind of like a battle at the net and he kind of got a little bit stretched out. Something something in the upper. You think you’ll be okay? Do I right now? I hope so. We’ll see. I mean, you know, we’ll see. You mentioned you like a lot of the push back tonight. Like Yeah. What’s it going to take for for the group you need to to stamp the the skin here? I think you know you’re you were going through some obviously some adversity right now, but you know I think I liked our response tonight in the game which goes a long way. That’s for me that’s um you know playing team hockey and sticking up for your team and and competing for your team. Uh, you know, like like I said, we clean a few things up. Uh, you can’t go to the penalty box that much in a game. It’s going to burn you eventually. We got to be more disciplined there, especially early on in that game. And those are penalties. So, um, you know, it’s just sometimes you got to go through a tough spell and we are right now. Uh, you know, and I like the way we pulled it together as a group tonight in the game. That’s a positive for me. So, um, you know, we’ll see. Just going to keep battling and and getting better and, you know, keep helping these guys out and get some confidence back in our game. You know, I think we lacked a little confidence early in the game. Um, but when we got down, we uh we played we played like we can. What do you think of Doy’s penalty at the end? I don’t know why he called it. I don’t know why he gave only the roughing on it to be honest with you cuz I was watching the referee. He didn’t have his hand up or nothing, his arm up. I mean, so I thought it was just going to be, you know, five each for fighting. But um he thought that uh he did a little more than the other guy.

  1. Brad Treliving and Craig Berube should be fired: the general manager failed to implement the transfer policy during the offseason and is not listening to the fans, while the head coach is unable to improve the team's performance. Both have one thing in common: they are impotents

  2. How about you send a message to the rest of the league. Meaning next time someone takes liberties make sure that player doesn't finish the game. If you can't get that guy for whatever reason, a high value target will more than suffice. Zadarov smirking fist pumping the squad after taking out Laughton and now Matthews. Make an example outta someone. It has to be done.

  3. I would ask this….
Coach Berube… after Matthews totally got rocked by Zadorov he jumped up and tried to run Zadorov but fell like a total pansy and injured himself.
Can we blame Marner for this?🤔

  4. Everyone is reacting to half a decade old problems (or older) like they're brand new and Berube and Treliving did this. This was inevitable. They got locked into long term, incredibly expensive contracts, saw nearly the exact same team fail year after year after year after year, and then extended everyone they could and only got rid of Marner when it would have required giving away literally all of their depth to keep him (probably wouldn't have even been able to keep Stolarz long term).

They already missed their window. Eventually things were going to fall apart. I am as surprised as anyone it happened so quickly but even if they turn things around, this team is trending downwards. They are icing a team that is on paper worse than last year, that has been getting injured like crazy and has 0 chemistry. There was no way it was going to go like last year.

The main thing I put on Treliving, who overall I think has done great especially on stuff like the Knies, Tavares and Stolarz contracts, is that Carlo was a terrible trade. The dude is maybe worth a second if you're desperate for depth. A first and Minten? Minten is ALREADY an NHL caliber 3rd line center. That's literally the only thing they need up front right now! Otherwise I'd actually say they have a few too many forwards.

Defense… I don't even know. It's maybe the worst defense in the league despite on paper being totally fine, especially with OEL having a renaissance season so far.
