Max is a perfect player to start next to Coop for the next 10 plus years, and should be an untouchable part of the rebuild: Fits the age timeline, unselfish passer, elite shooter, improving ball handling and POA defense

  1. Can’t believe he’s the “prize” in the Luka trade meanwhile AD is useless lol. Him, Lively, Flagg, and the lottery pick we’ll get (hopefully) should be the core moving forward.

  2. Flagg is the only untouchable, but yea Christie has worked himself into the “keep unless you get an offer you simply can’t refuse” category.

  3. I’d just dump AD for nothing

I look at him and just get mad because of the trade. Not AD fault

  4. Coop and Max are your obvious core pieces moving forward. I’m pretty nervous though that we now have to bank much of the future on Lively’s health because he really needs to be the third piece (not including our pick this year). Love Lively but man please stay healthy.

  5. I mean, Max is not the type of player that is ever gonna be untouchable because he’s not an all star but he’s a desirable rotation piece which means teams will ask for them in trades that have value. But apart from needing a point guard I don’t see the need to knee jerk into a rebuild. They say this is a nice draft but it’s the last pick we have for a long time. A full rebuild is gonna be hard.

  6. People throw around the term untouchable way too much. Max christie is a sub 15 a game player, he’s nowhere near untouchable. He’s not even a top 10 contract in the nba.

Stop trying to make this dude into something he isn’t. He’s like a 7th man on a contending team, if he’s a starter your team sucks or better be loaded everywhere else.

  7. Get AD back. Have him put up some numbers and prove he can play consecutive games and see what we can get for him

  8. No one should ever be untouchable outside like 5-10 guys in the whole league. Too many GMs screw over their franchise by making a player they really like “untouchable” in a trade and then they miss our on actually improving the team. Plus, so often these “untouchable” guys end up peaking as good role players. Which is most like Max’s ceiling. He’s unlikely to be better than a good 4th-5th started on a competitive team, and that’s his ceiling. If a trade is available that would improve the team, and it costs Max, the FO shouldn’t hesitate.

  9. He looks extra good because he is the only 3&D guy we have right now. That doesn’t make him untouchable, it just makes him a better starter fit than anyone else we have on the roster currently.
