  1. That was a cool moment between caleb and BJ, usually you just see the intense/fired up moments between them

  2. “I’m so proud of you.”
    “We got to get better.”

I’m genuinely getting emotional at this exchange. 😭

  3. We’ve never had a Leader at QB like this before…
The pain and suffering all these years have been worth the wait…
    BEAR DOWN 🐻⬇️

  4. two things here i love:

whoever it was that when up to caleb and said “You can keep playing the humble game if you want, but you won this game” is a homie. and correct.

the caleb/BJ pairing is a success. ben hugs caleb and says he’s proud of him twice. caleb responds “we gotta get better” during the embrace. that’s fucking football.

this guy gets it. he knows ben can help him and has already seen the results. this gonna be wild when it starts clicking on all cylinders

  5. Hell yes!

    Man, culture matters. Mindset matters.

The greats, IM NOT SAYING WILLIAMS IS A GREAT…*YET*, always have that mentality that there’s always something left to improve.

But, a COACH also knows when to tell his guys, *especially* young guys “I’m proud of you”. People might not think a grown ass man’s needs that, but they do.

Having your own guys come up and say ” you can play the humble game but you won that one” is fuel. Thats credit in the huddle and on the bench. Caleb is building that credit. So when the time comes to point blank say ” I need you to step the fuck up” they will FOR HIM.

    Great stuff!

  6. The chemistry between Williams and Johnson is something we’ve dreamed of for years. That’s one future right there keeping building on that and get better

  7. Is it happening? Are we really about to have a QB and coach for the next 10+ years?

I know all signs point to yes but I still can’t believe it. I’m too traumatized.

  8. Against the Bengals, everything the offense did worked. They executed well and the defense bit on every fake and misdirection. It was awesome.

Against the Giants, theire defense played a lot better and the offense was kind of a mess. The offensive line lost some key 1-on-1s (and it wasn’t just Benedet. Jackson got beat badly for one key pressure, and Wright got beat a lot more times than people seem to realize). There were drops, of course. We had people tripping over each other a lot. There were some ugly missed blitz pickups. WRs ran wrong routes and ended up in each others’ laps.

For years I’ve heard people say “It’s not that our QB isn’t good, it’s that everything around him kept messing up.” And I would say “If our QB was good, he could overcome it.”

This is what that looks like. We got 24 points out of that game because Caleb Williams overcame it.

  9. Hi – I’m the national media.  What I saw in that clip was Caleb shoving Ben in the locker room.  Is there tension brewing?

  10. Anyone who thinks this HC and QB are not completely locked in on what they’re trying to achieve needs their eyes tested.

  11. I think he’s getting frustrated by the way they keep winning. He doesn’t want to have to be the hero of the 4th quarter. He wants consistency. He wants to be up by 24 in the 4th. He wants to get benched in the 4th quarter because he dropped 45 points on the other team in the first 3 quarters. I don’t think he’ll be happy until that happens.
