They Made A Mistake Letting The Suns Get Jalen Green…

Watch this play carefully. Nick Richards finds Kevin Durant takes the right side screen. Kevin Durant drive on Brook Lopez and a fadeaway right side jumper. When Kevin Durant was on the Phoenix Suns, they were able to get easy baskets just like that because that’s just how skilled offensively KD was. Like look at this play. Tus Jones finds Kevin Durant on Koozma. Step back. Three-point shot in Koozma’s face. We know the Phoenix Suns are going to miss such an offensive player when they got rid of Kevin Durant this summer. But Jaylen Green now is making Phoenix Suns fans forget all about Kevin Durant because watch this play carefully. Jaylen Green top of the key takes a screen from Nick Richards drive on Brook Lopez mid-range shot to knock it down. Let’s go back now to that Kevin Durant mid-range jumper over two defenders. Phenomenal. And now watch Jaylen Green’s mid-range bucket. very similar play style. It’s a very similar shot. Let’s go back to that Kevin Durant step back three over Kyle Kosma. That was a beauty to see. Now look at Jaylen Green knocking on a three-point shot here in front of two defenders. Jaylen Green has instantly replaced the offense that Kevin Durant left after being traded to the Houston Rockets. And like I just said before, after Jaylen Green’s Phoenix Suns debut, Suns fans don’t have to worry because they’re in good hands with Jaylen Green. These were his numbers on his debut. 29 points, three boards, three assists, two steals, six three-point shots made, 10 of 20 from the field goal. And the crazy part about this statline is that Jaylen Green only played 22 minutes. And of course, the Suns won that game, too. The Suns just extended Devin Booker. And of course, he’s going to be the star player. But the fact that DB Book has a 23-year-old star right beside him just speaks volume of how well this team’s future could look like with these two backcourt players. Like look at this Deon Booker and Jaylen Green connection. Booker drives right, hands off the Jaylen Green for the pullup three-point shot. We’re going to see a lot of that this season. This was Jaylen Green’s first basket this season. Takes the screen by Mark Williams. Drive right side on Zubach. Beautiful acrobatic layup being guarded by Chris Dunn, one of the best on ball defenders. and then an acrobatic layup over one of the better bigs in the West. That was beautiful from Jaylen Green. Let’s go back one more time to that Kevin Durant step back over Kyle Koosma. This play is the perfect example that Jaylen Green can do the exact same thing even at the corner drive on Derrick Jones. Step back, beautiful three-point shot. Just the finesse, the flash from Jaylen Green. He’s undersized to Kevin Durant, but he still got that offensive game. Look at the ball movement here from the Phoenix Suns. That was spectacular. And if you’re going to leave Jaylen Green open, he’s going to knock down that three. Here’s another great ball movement play for the Phoenix Suns. Deon Booker takes the screen off to Gillespie to the corner, finds Jaylen Green for the pullup three-point shot. I’ve showed you this play earlier, but the ball movement is what makes it essential for the Phoenix Suns offensive playbook. Here’s another great player for the Phoenix Suns. Deon Booker being double teamed off the Roy to the corner, finds Jaylen Green, top of the right side three, and he knocks it down. You can’t leave Jaylen Green open. Jaylen Gree takes the screen on Mark Williams. Drive to the basket one more time on Zubach. His fearless attitude to drive it is insane. He’s not afraid that Zubos is there to contest the shot. I love this Jaylen Green to Booker connection. Jaylen Green isolating on Bradley Beal, former Phoenix Suns to the corner, finds Booker for the quick pull up three. Booker can play off ball too. This duo is scary. I need to show you what Kevin Durant did a lot playing for the Suns. Beautiful mid-range jumpers. But look at Jaylen Green here. Drive to the basket. Step back elbow for the mid-range Jay. That was pure and beautiful. Grayson Allen for the three-point shot. Offensive board up by Nick Richards. Of course, Ryan Dunn saves it. And Jaylen Green, right spot, right time. So, yes, the Suns traded Kevin Durant away, but now we’re seeing that Jaylen Green was a gem in that trade as well. So immediately after the game, Jaylen Green spoke with reporters and had really good words to say. I felt really good. I was so excited. I couldn’t even sleep. It was a lot of fun out there. Just got to keep stacking days. You can just tell that Jaylen Green just loved being out there with the Suns roster, with the Suns team. And I do believe the overall chemistry and the overall, I’ll call it, culture of the team is tremendously changing in the right direction. When Jaylen Green made his first three-point shot of his debut, he explains it like this. After my first three went in the little sideep, I think that was like, okay, yeah, here we go. Just seeing the ball go in with the energy from my teammates and fans. It was a great experience. We talked a little bit about the chemistry between Jaylen Green and Devin Booker and how it’s already starting. Jaylen Green says it started all the way at training camp. We got a little vibe in training camp. Off the court, it’s great. On the court, it’s even better. There’s a lot of space. We’re talking the whole game. He’s a veteran guard. Been there before. I’m learning everything I can from him while trying to help him win. I just love that attitude from Jaylen Green. He’s not here to say, “Hey, give me the glory.” He wants to play in the role that he’s been given, which is the number two option. They made it very easy. Everyone was themselves, helping me each quarter. That’s what the team does. Our offense has a lot of space and lets us get up a lot of threes and play fast, which I love to do. I don’t want us to ever forget how good Jaylen Green is as an upcoming rising star in the NBA. On January 13, when the Rockets faced the Grizzlies, and Jaylen Green was the starting shooting guard in Houston, he ended the game with 42 points, shooting 72.2% from the field goal. That is spectacular numbers for a 23year-old. Like, look at this play. Fred Vanble finds Jaylen Green, guarded by Jaylen Wells, takes the right side screen on Sangun, drive to the basket on Zack Edy, one of the better shot defenders and blockers in the league. Look at this play. Jaylen Green fast break in transition with the easy dunk. We didn’t see him do that opening night yet, but we will. We can never forget how athletic Jaylen Green is, which is what sparked his NBA career in the first place. Jaylen Green drive to the basket. His explosiveness again on Zack Idy. Easy right hand layup. The speed to get by bigger defenders is going to set him apart. And I just love this closing play. Jaylen Green screens out by Sangun. Drive to the basket on Brandon Clark. acrobatic and one layup, but they didn’t call it. But the point is, he can make big- time buckets at big time moments. Absolutely phenomenal. Absolutely incredible. Even in the playoffs, Jaylen Green showed up against the Warriors to tie the series for a quick pull-up shot to start off the game. Jaylen Green guarded by Gary Peyton. Lass screen up by Alpar Sangun. Trapped to the basket on post, gets by the defenders, easy two hand slam. The fact that he can isolate and finish like that just gives the Phoenix Suns so much more on offense. If Devin Booker can’t get things going, if you’re going to put a big on Jaylen Green, he’s just going to s him like this with a step back three-point shot. Kaban Looney get closer. Jaylen Green is an offensive threat. Now, this play is just beautiful. Jaylen Green gets the steal. Isolation drive to the basket. Slam over Quis Santos. That play was extraordinary. And the Phoenix Suns has a highlight reel player like that. Look at the athleticism to get that dunk and the excitement to electrify the crowd. The Suns got a gem with Jaylen Green. So ultimately, I want to know your thoughts about Jaylen Green and the Phoenix Suns. How far will they go with him on the roster? Let’s get a chat going in the comments below. But we just talked about Josh Giddy as well, saying that the Bulls got so lucky being able to sign him this past summer on a 4-year $100 million deal because the truth is he’s just worth so much more. Check out this video for all the details, but other than that, take it easy, God bless. See y’all next time on Easy Buckets. Taste.

  1. This video is so stupid. I watched Jalen Green play for my Rockets for 4 years. This is nothing new! He is talented, but his problem has always been inconsistency. He’ll look nice here and there and then follow it up with games in single digits. We hoped he would become more consistent, but sadly his issues costed us a playoff series against the Warriors when we needed him to step up the most. I’m not saying he can’t change, but until he can show actual consistency, I’m not believing any of this false hype

  2. I said it before even that draft and they traded for Durant that they shouldn’t got rid of Jalen Green and it’s gonna show because now they point guard was Jalen Green played is hurt and then to is that he’s not gonna last the whole season Kevin Durant watch and they need a point guard which that’s what Jalen Green played when their guard was down and he played in all 82 games but no no no I love on this boy here which ain’t bad I got them, but I shouldn’t never got rid of Jaylen Green
