Scott Boras comments on Hunter Brown… whelp

  1. He isn’t a fa until after the 2028 season. If we are still competitive by that year, then I’ll worry about it

Regardless, I don’t see why brown will ever take any extension since he will definitely get PAID during fa.

  2. Yea, I’d consider seeing what’s he’s worth this summer. In no way am I saying, trade him… but making some calls is smart.

  3. Idk how long you need to be an Astros fan to know that basically every player we raise up is gone after 7 years. It takes a truly loyal person to stay when they could get more money elsewhere. And I have no idea what Yordan was thinking when he signed that extension, I think it was before the era of over inflated contracts that will not age well

  4. This feels like one of those times I wake up a few hours before I really have to get up and I can go back to sleep.

  5. Didn’t Boras previously say they were going to wait until FA, that they weren’t looking to do a deal early at a discount?

  6. One of the best pitchers in baseball is gonna get paid like one of the best pitchers in baseball, more at 11…

  7. He’s going to set the market in 2028 and he’s likely a trade candidate after the 2027 season.

  8. Always feels like the Astros develops players for other teams. I hate this part of baseball.

  9. I’m not really sure what else anyone would expect him to say? I think Boras has said similar things about any big ticket players he has represented on the Astros a few years before free agency.

  10. When is Boras going to retire? I personally don’t care for him, I know he’s trying to get all his clients paid.

  11. Scott Boras sucks. Doesn’t matter if he’s advocating for the player he routinely likes to make negotiations about him.

  12. Eh 2028… we really could (should?) be in a rebuild by then. I am not 100% on his contract status, but if we can just adjust it to pay a little for his performance up to now and avoid arbitration until 2028, I’d be happy with that.
