Without Jk or PS2 and Mims banged up, depth out with Singleton etc, I’m not thrilled about going into a team coming off a bye with their whole roster healthy.

With all our injuries coupled with how inconsistent the offense has played lately plus KC coming off the bye, I honestly don’t blame anyone for picking the Chiefs. That being said, the Broncos have shown they can pull out narrow wins in close games this year. Whereas KC has lost all of their close games. If the offense and special team at least don’t set up Mahomes with great field position our defense can keep us in it. Then Bo and the offense just need to orchestrate a few drives.

The only logic for this egregious mountain of support is that the Chefs are desperate for a win. Broncos have to treat this like a playoff game, send the Chefs to Cancun early in the season.
Please win the Chiefs. They would be 5-5 this year if they lose. The Broncos would be 9-2. The Chiefs would need to win almost outright in order to go to the playoffs.
I literally talked to one of their fans last week that stated the Chiefs have a different title than “America’s Team” that the Cowboys or Lions have. They are “God’s team”, and as a result of that deserve a “bye” straight to the Superbowl, and the winner of the “1st Superbowl” can go up against them in the “2nd Superbowl”.
The fans are insane.
We have the best home winning streak in the league and we are underdogs AT HOME??? I hope all of these “prognosticators” eat crow.
While I’m definitely nervous about this game and its implications on how we’ll look during the playoffs, it’s a good sign most of the picks have us within one score / kick of the Chiefs.
An 8-2 team is a home dog vs. 5-4 team coming off a loss to a team that just got a 17-point shellacking by a 2-7 team. Andy Reid’s record after a bye is doing a LOT of heavy lifting.

I’m not certain about a win or anything, and if I were putting money down I’d probably put it on KC. But I think that all of those scores predicted are waaayyy to high. I think it’s going to be another game where neither team scores 20. And we’re really fucking good at winning those games. We’ve beaten QBs to death this season and that’s not going to slow down this week. We’re going to get to Mahomes, we’re going to hit him, it’s going to be a very hard game for him. We may not win, but I think we’ll force them to play a messy game that we will have a good chance to win.
