Daron Davis says, “What’s good, Marsh W today?” So Marsh won’t crash out. Man, if I’m crashing out over Knicks losses in November, I think that’s more of a me issue. I think it’s a me issue. And I am an issue. I know it. I am. But no, win or lose, I I this is just an opportunity for I feel like the Knicks to go up against a team that’s got a lot of hype right now. They’ve got some things going for them. France Vagner, a really good player, averaging 22 points per game this year, shooting 47% from the field, but 37% from downtown. Palo Bero at the age of 23, starting to become a star in this league. Sh struggling when it comes to shooting the ball so far this year, just 25% from downtown, but he is averaging 23.3 points per game. He leads the Magic. He is their leading scorer. Their third leading scorer, Desmond Bane, 14.9 points per game. And AC, he’s doing that despite shooting 27% from three, a place that he makes his money at. Yeah. What’s going on, Real Ones? I And I know all too well. I have Desmond Bane on my fantasy basketball team that he is not having the best year. Thought he might have a little bit of a breakout season. obviously already an established player in this league with the Memphis Grizzlies, but thought it was a good fit with two ball dominant guys like Vagner and Bonero driving, trying to get into the lane. Bane providing that floor spacing. Um, thought he’d get a lot of open looks. Obviously hasn’t played up to his standard so far this year, but still a guy that can hurt you and still a guy the Knicks need to watch tonight and uh especially a guy that could hurt them given the Knicks have struggled to guard the perimeter at times so far this season. Yeah, the Knicks are a team that has not defended the three-point line well at all. We’re going to dive into those numbers coming up in a little bit. Major shout out to my guy Papa Swanky in the bill in the $20 super chat. You’re the man, Papa Swanky. That’s going to get you three tickets into the raffle to win a signed Walt Clyde Frasier basketball. We actually got the basketball shipped to the office. Uh I forgot to bring in the studio. So, wanted to give you guys an opportunity to go home with some uh here from New York Knicks now by Chat Sports. Papa Swanky, you’re a real one. Salute to you, my man. Michael P in the building. $5 super chat. Shout out to Michael. And remember the P, it stands for player. What up, Michael? He says, “Can you get Josh Hart to start taking open shots?” Shout out to you, Mike, for the $5 super chat. Look, Josh Hart has shot the ball uh I would say pretty willingly this year. There’s always going to be more shots that Josh can take. He’s talked about how, look, if I took more shots and I missed them, Nick fans would say, “Well, pass it and get the ball to Jaylen Brunson. Get the ball to Bridges for more threes.” So, Michael, I want to spend some more time on this coming up in a second. Uh, but first, I do have to tell you guys about our proud sponsor, DraftKings. All lines and odds are subject to change. Let’s go to Michael P’s super chat. I want to spend a little bit more time on Josh Hart, a guy that I feel like has playing over the last couple of games some of his best basketball of his long NBA career. I I think I’ll throw it to you first, Stacey. I really do think he is the ultimate teammate, but he’s also a guy that’s making the most of his opportunities. cuz he was really good as a starter this last year. This year coming off the bench and over the last handful of games, he he’s really really becoming a serious threat for the Knicks off the bench. Yeah, his efficiency from three notably has gone up tremendously. He’s a guy who is not considered a good three-point shooter by probably almost every other team around the league as evidenced by the way they play him. They give him space. They lay off of him. He’s been I know at one point he was eight of his last 13 over the last couple games yesterday uh from three. So, who knows if that’s a product of maybe just him working on his shot, if that’s a product of maybe improved efficiency because he’s playing a lot less minutes coming off the bench. But to to have a guy like Josh Hart coming off the bench is just a luxury for a basketball team. I think the Knicks are comfortable with Josh Hart being in closing and finishing lineups. Uh we’ve seen him play I think almost 30 minutes in some games off the bench. Mike Brown knows that what Josh Hart’s capable of and if he has it going and he’s playing well, I don’t think he’s going to force someone else back into the game. He’s comfortable with rolling with him in crunch time. Yeah, over the last four games, his minutes are up to 26 per night. He’s given you uh overall he’s averaging 12.3 points per game, 6 and a half rebounds, and 4.8 assists all on just one turnover per game. And he’s doing it while being efficient with the ball. He’s scoring it at an extremely efficient rate. 57% from the field and he’s 57% from three as well. He is eight of 14 from three in his last four games. Love that from Josh Hart. Um does that mean the volume should go up? No. I think he should just continue to take good shots and he’s a guy that’s always going to look to be he said it. My job is to be a servant for everyone else on this team. Those dribble handoffs. He he loves to work. Um, I I like the way he he’s finding his role. He’s making the most of his role off the bench and he’s getting back to just playing Josh Art basketball, which is I’m gonna come in there. I’m gonna cause havoc for as long as I’m out there. I’m going to push the pace. I’m going to attack the glass. But the place I’ve been most impressed with him is his defense. I think he’s moving his feet really well laterally. I think he feels a little bit more energized, maybe a little bit more healthy as well, but he’s already won defensive player of the game before, getting himself a New York Knicks hard hat and some Tims in the locker room. He he if he’s able to defend like he was when he first got here, that gets you three pretty good wing defenders when when you put him alongside Anobi and Bridges. Yeah. And then I mean it’s uh especially that’ll come in handy on against a team like the Orlando Magic that are playing tonight where they have guys two guys like Paulo and uh Fron who are kind of offensive hubs and then even a third guy in Bane as well. Um or if you have a team that’s just kind of has one guy that’s their engine on that wing. It allows the guy the Knicks to throw multiple bodies at them, not have those guys get tired for throw fresh bodies defending each guy or that guy over the course of a game. Uh it just kind of is just another niche and area of depth that the Knicks are proving that they’re at a championship level when you have that many elite wing defenders. And uh if Josh Hart can play both ways like that where he’s defending at a super high level, he’s knocking down his open threes, uh he’s a real gamecher. I feel like we say this about a lot of guys on the Knicks, but he could be the key or an X factor for them as well if he’s playing at his best. He’s making the most of his opportunities. um in the last couple of games, plus 21, plus 12, plus 18, plus six. Um so, he’s finding a way to impact the game despite the minutes being down a little bit and him not being a starter. Um Josh Hart’s going to do that. He’s a smart basketball player. He’ll do whatever it takes to win. That’s why uh he’s one of my favorite players to ever play for this organization. Over 200 people in the building. Please, please, please hit that thumbs up icon. We are 87 likes away from 150 likes. If you could for free, hit the like button. It would mean a lot to the gang here at Chat Sports. Um, please type me if you have. Let’s go. Tonight the game on ESPN. You got Inside the NBA doing a little pregame show right now. Um, shout out to my guy Nitro. Levi’s the best. He is the best of the greatest. Shout out to Joseph. The more Sham plays, the better he gets. I’ve been impressed with Shamut. Uh, Magic coach Jamal Mosley speaking on Jaylen Brunson, who Brunson was a Mav when Mosley was there. Uh, he added this on Brunson saying he’s moving differently without the ball. They run a lot of actions where he’s coming off handoffs on backside and off close outs. He’s got rest as he gets the ball back. Uh, so he’s able to attack you at full speed. That’s that’s been something the Knicks have really wanted to work this year is getting Brunson those catch and shoot opportunities. He’s such a pure shooter. Uh it’s it’d be it I said it last year and that’s why I’ve always liked Brunson playing alongside another guard that can create and set the table and take the ball out of his hands. He he he is almost a 50% guy over the last handful of years on catch and shoot threes. It it would be smart for them to continue to try to seek those out. Yeah, and when I hear that quote from Mosley, I think about that rest portion of it. You think back to all the matchups the Knicks have had with the Indiana Pacers the last couple years and even in last year’s playoffs. Brunson was forced to bring the ball up every single time and he was picked up full court by TJ McConnell every single time he was in the game. So, you just think about Brunson has to exert all that energy just to get the ball over half court. Then, he’s asked to initiate the entire offense back under Tom Tibido. um it wears him out over the course of a game. And so that that just the idea of that he can not take a possession off but not have to shoulder the entire uh responsibility of getting the ball up the court and initiating the offense every single time. I think that uh you can see some potential efficiency increases with Brunson because of that and um definitely help his freshness as the season goes on. A team like Orlando, what do they do well this year? They are attempting 27 the 27th most threes. So they don’t get up a lot of threes. They’re going to play through Bero. They’re going to play through Vagner. Um I still vividly remember like one of the last games before OG and Anobi got traded to the Knicks. It was against the Orlando Magic and the Knicks had no answer for Vagner. They had no answer for Ban Carol. It seemed like anytime the Knicks played 18 that had a scoring wing prior to trading for Anobi, they always went off against them. So, those they’re going to play um through those guys as I want to see what um their offensive and defensive ratings are. Give me a second. The Orlando Magic this year. Uh KOB, I just want to say, yeah, we did acknowledge uh Michael Richardson on the uh on the show last night. Obviously, rest in peace to him. So, yeah, absolutely. Rest in peace to him. Prayers for his family. A true NBA legend, a Knicks legend. Um yeah, we we talked about him yesterday. I was watching videos about Larry Bird saying he’s the best player in the building. Uh was the best player in the world at one point. Uh, rest in peace to him and prayers to his family. Seeing some super chats come in. We appreciate you guys. We’ll get those up on the screen as soon as they come through on our end. Uh, you guys are the best. The Orlando Magic this year, they have an offensive rating of 114.1, meaning they score 114 points per 100 possessions. That’s the 19th best in the NBA. Their defensive rating is 114.2. So the 15th best defensive rating. So they’re right in the middle of the pack on both of those. To put it in into perspective, the Knicks have the third best offensive rating in the rating in the league at 121.6. Um on the defensive end, the Knicks also have the seventh best defensive rating at 112. Um, there was like a trend. I don’t remember if it’s been hit the last couple years, but it used to be it was like x amount of years the team that won the NBA finals were top 10 in offensive rating and top 10 in defensive rating. And the Knicks, they find themselves in both those spots right now. Something about the Knicks that I think is extremely interesting, Andrew. Um, they’ve been trying to push the pace, but they’re just 21st in pace. The scoring is way up. They may not be playing as fast, but they sure are taking a lot more threes. Um I I bet Mike Brown every time in a film room is saying, “Come on, guys. We got to keep playing faster. Push it. Push it.” Um but I think they’re making progress. They’re scoring more. They’re getting up a lot more threes. Um and the offense right now is the third best in the NBA at 121 points uh per 100 possessions. They’re at 121.6. The Nuggets are actually second at 121.6. So they’re tied at second. The Rockets are first at 121.7. So, they’re right there. After tonight, they could be the best. Yeah. Um, that stat about both team about teams, championship teams, having top 10 in both, I mean, makes a lot of sense. Obviously, when it’s a statistical trend and you acknowledge it, it kind of sets the bar for what you need to compete at a championship level. In terms of the pace, it’s hard to it’s hard for me to sit here and say the Knicks should be changing what they’re doing. Obviously, what they’re doing is working pretty well. Um, I think depending on the kind of personnel they get in the game, they have to make a more concerted effort to push the pace versus you have guys like Josh Hart in there, maybe even Jordan Clarkson, Deuce McBride. That bench unit kind of naturally plays a little bit faster, a little bit younger. Those guys aren’t as much isolation players as uh as Brunson, as Towns, as Bridges. They like to kind of get to it in the half court. So, I’m sure they’ll Listen, we’re still 10 games into the Mike Brown era. I’m sure they will work out uh the kinks and get it going as the season goes on. Shout out to our guy Darren the tuber gaming with $2 super chess is watching the game with a friend. I’m going to go Shinoch. Sorry if I’m messing that up. He says he’s a Magic fan. Boo him. Boo him in the chat. Give me some booze down below. Darren the tuber, you’re a real one, my man. Shout out to you. Starting lineup for the Magic tonight. It’s going to be Jaylen Suggs, Desmond Bane, Fron Vagner, Pala Bancer, and Wendell Carter Jr. I’ve always kind of hoped Wendell would be a Nick one day. I just like the way that he plays the game. Reminds me of like a uh less defensive Al Horford where he just plays the game the right way, can shoot it from the outside, can can can create a little bit via being a playmaker. He’s got some skill, high skill level for a big center. uh gives you a lot of options offensively, defensively can kind of switch out a little bit. Um he’s a good two-way player. I’ve always liked Wendell Carter. So Suggs, Bane, Vagner, Bancer, and Carter. Expect for Suggs to try to play some physical defense on Jaylen Brunson tonight. Maybe even pick him up 90 ft. And then I would think the Knicks would try to counter by having Bridges or Hart bring the ball up when they’re in the game. We’ve seen that um over the last couple of games. Yep. Shout out to our guy James Stein as well coming in a $2 says JB needs to keep playing like an all-star. Speaking about Jaylen Brunson. Uh yeah, I mean this is what we’ve gone grown accustomed to. Um we’re a little spoiled as Nick fans. Jaylen Brunson, we just expect him to show up and play at an allstar, all NBA potentially MVP level every single night. Um I mean I have I don’t have any reason to believe he’s going to stop playing like an all-star. He is, I would say, one of the 10 best players in the NBA. Uh, looking like one of the best so far and coming off a strong game last night as well. He’s averaging 27.7 points per game this year, 6.6 assists, shooting 47% for the field, and 37% from three. Last year, he averaged 26 points per game. So, the points are up by 1.7. The assists down by about 0.9 or 08 uh.7 67 Jesus. Um turnovers up a little bit. It’s early. Only 10 games. Minutes though down from 35 to 33. It’d be the least amount of minutes he has played in his career as a Nick. It was 35 35.4 and 35.4 the first three years. Yeah. And I I think that’s a good thing. And we hit on it I think in our postgame show that in a video that went out this morning. Um the Knicks have some impressive guard depth. We went through obviously Jaylen Brunson, Jordan Clarkson had a pretty strong game last night. Uh you look at a guy like Deuce McBride as well. Um Jaylen Brunson doesn’t have to play shouldn’t be playing 40 plus minutes a game. Um and especially just with the other options the Knicks have as well. Guys that can kind of initiate the offense and give him a little bit of a break. Um we’ve seen OG take some steps forward offensively. Obviously had a not his best night from three last night. Male Bridges has been extremely efficient with the opportunities he’s gotten. So, um, hopefully Brunson can and he always gets himself out there for the playoffs, but you can ever tell every time April comes around, he is banged up. He’s got a foot injury, he’s got a hand injury, he’s he’s fighting through and playing through everything. So, hopefully he can get to the playoffs a little healthier this year. Starting lineup for the Knicks, Jaylen Brunson, Male Bridges, OG, Carl Anthony Towns, and Mitchell Robinson back in the starting lineup tonight. Mitch did not play last night. Don’t think he’s going to play him any backtobacks this year. the Knicks select for him to sit out the front half of the backtoback. But Big Body Mitch is in the starting lineup tonight. He has been one of the more impactful players across the NBA this year when it comes to affecting the score when he’s in the ball game. He’s always been a guy that I would say hasn’t defended three-point shooting bigs all that well. Now, was that him or the Tom Tibido defensive strategy? got to close out on a guy like uh Wendell Carter and with Bancero and Vagner at the three and four, Towns has to move his feet defensively. I like to come out fast in this game, set the tone and not let yourself feel sorry for yourself because you’re playing a backto back. My guy Nick Devidito in the building. What up Nick Devitov? Shout out to you. Can everybody give me some eyeball emojis in the chat for the legend Nick Devidito? Are you at the game my friend? Good to see you. I also wanted everyone to know, shout out to So Real, we’ll get to his super chat right now. Yeah, shout out to him. Says, “Do you feel OG is going to be an All-Star this year is this year the world verse America in the All-Star game?” Yeah, so they changed the format. I think it’s going to be USA versus World, but what they’re doing is they’re making three teams. Two of them are going to be USA, one of them’s going to be world. They’re going to have eight guys on each team. So, still the total pool of 24 players, 12 for each conference. Yeah. I I didn’t read too much in depth to the format. I saw a few tweets about it. I didn’t read uh like an expanded article, but that they’re going to have Yeah, those three teams. It’ll be a round rob and each team plays each other and then I think they’re going to have the two best teams from that somehow face off in a final game. I think they’re like 12minute games each. So, I think there’s a shot for OG to be an all-star. I worry that the 12year-old in LA isn’t going to vote for OG to be an all-star. fan voting is still such a big part of it. Um I think it may be more likely Andrew he makes it all defensive team this year over being an all-star. Yeah. Um so I have a little bit of a of a bone to pick with this. I said last night at the during some point during the game I think during the fourth quarter that OG has a chance or deserves to be an all-star this year. And then I I open my Twitter feed this morning and what do I see but a video of Mike Brown saying OG and an Obi can and should be an all-star this year. Mike Brown must have been midame watching the Knicks now hearing what I had to say about OGN and Obi and then plagiarizing that in his postgame press conference. No credit. No credit. Zero credit. Zero strategy. Wow. Um no strategy to show listen like well I don’t what my question is does if the coach do the coaches still name the reserves or fan voting still impacts the reserves? Fan I believe fan voting impacts the reserves. are not 100% on that now because I think that that’s the way he’s going to make it is the coach is recognizing the two-way ability that he brings. If he can score consistently, if he’s knocking down before last night’s game, I think it was like 40 plus percent of his threes. He’s playing all NBA level defense, which I think he should be a lock for. I think if he’s not an allNBA defender, I’m not sure what they’re talking about, but somehow he didn’t make it last year. Yeah, I remember watching the game hearing Mike Breen go on a uh on a rant about that and and rightfully so. He had a lot of um a lot of good things to say. So, shout out to y’all. Shout out to my guys. So, real. We are doing a raffle this month. It finally came in a signed Walt Clyde Frasier basketball. I’m going to keep it in the wrapper. Um so, uh my my old scrubby fingerprints don’t get on them. a month-long raffle. A $10 super chat will get you one ticket to get into the raffle to win this sidewall Clyde Frasier ball. A $20 super chat will get you three tickets. $50 super chat get you eight tickets. And if you send in a $100 super chat, you get 20 tickets. All of those amount of tickets will be doubled if you send in that amount of money on Venmo or on Cash App. Um, so a little of incentive for the Cash App and Venmo crowd. It helps the channel a little bit more. Um, but yeah, we want to give you guys a chance to win some signed New York Knicks gear. Shout out to Walt Clyde Frasier for putting pen to paper to this basketball. A little bit of a closer look there so you can see through the paper. Yeah, that’s uh that’s real stuff, man. That’s uh that’s going to be I’m going to be jealous of whoever ends up going home with that. So, that’s pretty sweet. So jealous. The most jealous. So, um, shout out to you guys. You guys have been supporting. There’s already a lot of people in the raffle, but all it takes is one sometimes to get in and win. And, uh, never hurts to tilt the odds in your favor as well. My guy Seth Gross in the building. What up, Mr. Seth Gross? How you doing, bro? Good to see you in here. Says, “How many points is Male Bridges averaging?” You want to know what’s funny? Uh, Seth, I was typing in your name into my database to find out that points per game. It didn’t come up. It didn’t come up. I I think I must be typing it wrong. Um, but this year he’s averaging 16.6 points per game, 53 and a half% from the deck, 47.4% from downtown. Extremely efficient. He’s been extremely efficient this year. The most efficient. Evan Pence says, “Marsh, you should eat messy pizza, then wipe your hands all over the ball for authenticity. I kind of agree. I kind of agree. I’m in. I think it’s a good idea. The best. It would be It would be a one of one of one a Clyde Frasier marsh stained basketball. You could It could increase the value. Uh I don’t think that’s the craziest thing to think. My man Callum Hughes in the building. What up, Callum? We got 500 people in the house ready to roll as we’re still probably about fiveish, 10ish minutes away from this game being kicked off. I mean, the Knicks I I what I also love is that they’ve kind of been consistent. They haven’t like let up in terms of being prepared and ready to play. They’re taking every opponent seriously. They’re they’re not taking any nights off. And um and they’re doing it while still also kind of saving themselves in a way of not overexerting them minutes-wise. They’re not Mike Brown’s not unloading the clip every single night. And the Knicks are still getting win after win after win. That’s right. Shout out to Ken Van Eps. Ken, I’m I’m throwing you into the raffle, my man. You’re always here. You’re always showing love to the channel. Uh it’s the least we could do. Thank you for thinking of us. My man Greg Williams tapping in with the real ones tonight. Give me some GWs down below. What’s up, Marshall and Connell? How we doing tonight, man? I’m excited. I’m excited. We get to see a game uh against a team that Andrew, it got thrown into the contender status without doing anything. Yeah, listen, they had the Knicks still don’t get thrown into the contender status. And they had a decent year last year, but they lost to the Boston Boston Celtics. Knicks beat the Boston Celtics. So, that math they didn’t even get out of round one last year. That math doesn’t math for me. Uh I know they were they had a extremely strong defense last year that that statistically is not at that level this year. I think you said they’re 15th. I think they were one of the top they traded their man KCP and um the idea was they they were bad shooting team but they added Desmond Bane. I know and you know doesn’t make sense that one guy can fix an entire team’s wos but I think that was the hype on them coming around into this season. But um I was looking at Bonerro or Beno’s stats earlier today. He’s shooting 25% from three. That’s not going to get it done. He’s an all-star caliber player, but not with those numbers. So, um, Nick’s got to jump on them from the get on them from the jump, run at that score. I would like for there to be one time where the Knicks can kind of hold off a run and not let the team get back into the game and uh maybe get an easy game. And Magic are a tough team. They’re going to be do going to be a tough team to do that to. Knicks are coming off the second night of a backtoback, but we’ve seen what the Knicks are capable of. So, Shout out to you, Greg Williams. I’m pumped up, man. You get to see a Knicks team that’s still starting to try to create their own identity going up against a team that a lot of people think can beat them in the playoffs. So, it’s going to be a good one. They catch on the back half of back to back to back tonight. We’ll see if the Knicks can power through. Some of their starters played 35 plus minutes. We’ll see if their legs are fresh and how deep um how deep they go into the bench tonight. So Real 13 back again. I got you into the raffle to win this signed Walt Clyde Frasier basketball. Salute to you. So Real 13. Give me some 13s down below. Says, “Do my two fives. Get me in for the ball.” Absolutely, brother. I got you. Taking care of you. Take care of us. You always show love. We got you. And now that Mel’s in the Hall of Fame. Do you think the Knicks finally retire number seven? Andrew Connell, do you think the Knicks should retire number seven? Oh, this giving me a tough question here. Listen, I no one loves Carmemell Anthony more than me. He was he was a great player for the Knicks, a memorable player. Like a generation of Nick fans, I think have Melo as their favorite player. Watching him grow up, watching him play and light up the garden. I just think we might be sending the wrong message if you retire the jersey of someone who didn’t have the playoff success that we’re we should be striving for as an organization. I love Melo, but I don’t know if I think they should retire as Jersey. 100% agree. Um never got to a conference finals, never got to the NBA finals. Look, I love Carmelo Anthony. He was my favorite Nick ever. Um, when I was watching him play with this team, um, I remember the day he was traded. I remember coming home from football practice and watching in his first game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Um, but I would say no. I would say no to Carmelo getting his jersey retired. Just unfortunately not enough team success and a lot of it not his fault. Didn’t have the most talent around him. We’re underway though here at the Garden. The Magic wearing their black pinstripe uniforms. They’ll have the ball first. They’ll move it around the perimeter. Three-pointer up, no good rebound by the Knicks wear. And they’re all whites. Brunson will bring it into the front court on the back to back. They switch the court at MSG. Brunson, he’ll get a screen from Robinson trying to free up some space between Suggs. He’ll throw it to the left elbow to Towns. Right back to Brunson. Brunson working on that left elbow now. Working in the post, driving on Suggs. Left hand layup is up and in. Nice take there by Brunson. He wanted a foul as well. Vagner wearing a face mask. He’ll drive into the corner. Hands it off to Ban Carro. He’ll drive right to left. He’ll throw it into the other corner. Carter for three. No good. Rebound by Brunson. His head up and he’s looking to push. He’ll drive on Desmond Bane into the lane and he passes it. Stolen by Suggs. Not a great play and it’ll be a runout layup on the other end for Orlando. A turnover for the Knicks resulting in easy offense for the Magic. Robinson and Anobi moving it around up top now. Hand off to Bridges. He’ll get the screen. Gets to the lane. Reverse pivot. Nowhere to go. He’ll get it to Towns. Towns from the corner. No good. Orlando going to push off the make. They’ve got numbers. Ban Carol driving at Bridges. He’s fouled. Ban Carol will go to the line for a pair. That’s it. You’re going to look to see Ben Carro be aggressive all night long. Obviously, he knows he’s not shooting the ball well this season. Going to try and see the ball go through a few times before he starts taking jumpers. We got over 600 people watching. If you could please hit that thumbs up icon. Only 199 likes with 600 watching. The math ain’t math. So, please hit that thumbs up icon. And if you have, give me an LGK in the chat so I know who the real ones are as Bero gets the first free first free throw to rattle in who be who be eyeing says marsh for president. Look, I’m not I’m not a political guy, but look, I’m I’ll do it for the people. Today is Palo O’s bday. Happy birthday with a loss. I’d love to gift him a loss. The Knicks down by two after he knocks in both free throws. Brunson gets a screen from Robinson. Has space mid-range pullup foul as the shot cannot drop. He’ll go to the line for a pair of free throws for himself. A chance to even this one up and for a pop. Shout out to hit that thumbs up icon. If you haven’t yet, please do so. It’s free. Let’s roll. Rand Neptune says the Knicks don’t retire his jersey. Who’s going to Denver? Lol. Really, guys, New York is retiring his jersey. Trust that. He’s going down top 10 alltime scoring. Yeah, I don’t think the Nugget should retire and I also don’t think the Knicks should retire it. I think if you want a jersey retired, you need to at least have gone to an NBA Finals and uh that’s probably the lowest it it can go for me. Yeah. Also, you look at with Denver, uh the guy who wears 15 for them now is pretty good as well. So, best player to ever play for that team as Brunson knocks in both free throws. Tied at four. What do you think of these Magic uniforms? I don’t know if I like them. Uh I think they’re better than what they had. I I think that uh they tried to lean into that old school look and modernize it at the same time. As Vagner drives, layup. He’s fouled by Anobi. I do kind of like the pinch drive though. I don’t like the blue on top of it. Like I think it should just be all black. Yeah, I think they just didn’t want to copy and paste, but they probably should have just went that route. They call a reaching foul on Anobi. Vagner to the line for a pair. Wearing that face mask. His nose looks like it was busted not too long ago. Been there, done that. Not fun. His first free throw is good. Nick’s down by one. Yeah, I thought Brunson’s come out really aggressive. OD dog going right at Suggs. Wouldn’t be shocked if Brunson’s trying to get him in a little bit of foul trouble. We’ve seen him do that against some elite defenders before. Second free throw for Vagner is up and in. Six to four. Brunson will throw it into Bridges and then and then get it right back. Suggs picking him up. Threearters court. He’ll get a screen from Robinson. Has a step. Suggs on his back into the lane. Shot blocked by Bancero. Brunson threw up a floater. Banero from the backside blocked it and the Knicks don’t get back on defense as Bane with an easy drive to the lane and lays it up and in. Knicks down four. They come out slow. They didn’t defend, I thought, the transition well at all last night. They’re not defending well in transition tonight. And Mike Brown, he wants to talk about it here early. While they talk about it, I got to tell you guys about our proud sponsor, DraftKings. All lines and odds are subject to change. Slow start for the Knicks. Brunson was being aggressive on offense. Don’t have a problem with that. See some people in the chat saying he needs to move the ball. I’m not worried about that at all. It’s got to get back on defense though to step slow a little bit slow out of the gates on a back half a backto back. Yeah, we’ve seen the Knicks do this before uh a couple times this season. Maybe obviously not for an entire game they’ve been strong, but we’ve seen them kind of just start the first quarter a little slow. I think they just need to lock in a little bit. Um when you’re the Knicks, it’s tough. You have so many guys that can score, but you also have a lot of guys you got to kind of get them to touch the ball, get them going a little bit. So, uh I think they kind of just try and spend the first few minutes usually feeling out who’s got it going that night. Obviously, Brunson’s usually going to be the guy that gets the first bite at that apple. So, um, if he doesn’t, yeah, move the ball and get some other guys involved. But listen, uh, if Jaylen Brunson doesn’t score a lot, the Knicks are not going to win. So, whatever it takes to get him going, I think is what they need to do. All right, shout out to y’all. Over 770 people in the building. If you haven’t yet, please hit that thumbs up icon. Let’s go. You want the Knicks to beat the Magic, like the video. Stone Grooves says, “Be careful.” But nice win on the parlay. Hey, I’m only betting what I can lose, baby. That’s the motto. Bet responsibly. You the man. Thanks for being there for me. All right. Knicks will have it in the front court. Brunson up top. Going to get a screen from Robinson. He’ll use it. Has Suggs on his hip. Crosscourt pass. Anobi. He’ll drive. Gets to the lane. Kicks it out. Brunson top of the key. Pump fake drive. Has space. Defender on his back. Floater up and in. Easy move there for Brunson. cuts the lead to two. Suggs to bring it up the right side. He’ll find Bane. Bane used the screen. Brunson chasing Bane. Easy layup. That was horrible defense by Brunson. Bridges do initiate on the right wing. He’s guarded by Bane. They’re good friends. Bridges said he heard about getting traded to the Knicks from the Nets when he was at Desmond Bane’s, I believe, house. As OG is going to be fouled by Vagner. Payton says, “Bro, I have watched you so many times.” Thank you, brother. Real one. Thank you. Thank you, bro. Thanks for being there. What’s your opinion of like the friendliness aspect in the NBA? Guys train together in the offseason with guys on rival teams. Yeah, I hate it. The fact that Jaylen Brunson and Josh Hart are friends with Tyrese Hallebertton. It pisses me the hell off. Yeah, he sent you home twice when you were the higher seat. You should hate him. You should hate him. The Magic are going to challenge the call on the Vagner reach which was called a foul where Anobi was the one contacted. It was on the ground. It would be Nick’s ball out of bounds. If it gets overturned though, it will be Magic Ball as they made a clear and obvious recovery. Challenging four minutes into the game is always interesting to me. Yeah, I think in general if you’re using a challenge before like the fourth quarter, you have to be 100% sure because what you don’t want to have happen is you get to that fourth quarter, there’s a got to have it play and uh it doesn’t go your way. The rest maybe miss a call and then you don’t have your challenge and obviously I guess the idea of a point in the first quarter is the same as a point in the fourth quarter, but you want to kind of have that keep that flexibility in your back pocket. So they must have seen something, thought they’re sure they’re going to get it right. Um otherwise they wouldn’t do it. Will says this game has been dreadful so far. My gosh. Timeouts and free throws. Yeah, a lot of stoppage, a lot of free throws. Already six free throws have been hoisted. Three trips in total. A lot of fouls and a couple of stoppages. Yeah, a rough start in this one for the NBA and their product. Johnson, you end up building. What up, JU? Are you in Orlando tonight? Are you in Orlando, Johnson? Uh, you know, Boca Raton, not far from Orlando. Maybe saying hi to your ex-classmate, uh, Big AJ. Big AJ, or is it Big Justice? I don’t know. Is it both Big AJ and Big Justice? Are they both big? I don’t know. I don’t know. Shout out to them though. Shout out to Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider aka the Goat Rider in the building. Give me some GRs or drop a Ghost in the uh in the chat. Johnson, you says, “I am indeed in Orlando. Are you making your way to Boca Raton? Yeah, I just linked up with the Rizzler. I knew you would. I knew you would. Shout out to my man the Rizzler. Fan of the show. Fan of the show. My man Keith Smith aka Lord Smith says, “Marshall, high fives, my guy. High fives to you, brother.” Everybody give me a high five. High five. High five. High five. The Ghost Rider. A $20 super chat. You’re a real one, bro. that gets you into the raffle to win this signed Walt Glide Frasier basketball. We’re going to lob you three tickets your way. Thanks for always being a real one. Ghost Rider. You the man, dog. You the man. You the man. You the man. Hit the man. Hit the man. Hit the man. Let’s go. Ghost Rider says salute to the chat. Salute to you, brother. Callum Hughes in the building. AJ McMa Payton Black Mamba Hilfred Johnson Odog Jake Effit Daily or Jake Fit Daily? Is it Jake Effit Daily or Jake Fit Daily? Um, I believe it’s probably depends on the day. That’s some good versatility there. Ken Van Eps, what up? What’s up, AJ? Payton in the building says, I have the poster of the Knicks. He’s got the poster, the one poster, the only poster of the only poster of the Knicks. Oh, that’s awesome, man. 900 people watching. Nick Knicks are off to a slow start. So is the chat. I mean, look at this. 900 people here and we only got 285 likes. That That is a slow start if I’ve seen one. So, let’s try and get that number up. Uh let’s even get above 300 right now. A little bit frustrating. Almost as frustrating as that call being overturned. It was not a foul on the Magic. It’ll result in a turnover. Vagner mid-range Jay. Good. Knicks are getting doubled up. down six with only six. Brunson will bring it into the front court. He’ll have it on the left wing and get screen from Towns. Has a step on Suggs. Then drops it off to OG. He’ll line up a corner three. No good. Not a lot of ball movement for the Knicks to start. Just the sheer number of passes. Bane driving, met by Sham. Shamut comes in for Robinson. Banero at the left elbow. Working. Nothing there. He’ll swing to Vagner. Guarded by Brunson. That’s a mismatch. He’ll take him into the post. The Knicks send a soft double and then he kicks it into the corner. A wide open Desmond Bane. Good. Knicks down by nine. Brunson initiating trying to create. Throws it into the corner. OG jab step face up. Puts it on the deck. Gather dribble. Pass into the corner. Turnover. Sloppy play from the Knicks so far. And an Obi just not locked in there. Bane top of the key splits the Knicks defense. Floater up in and out. No good. Loose ball out of bounds on the baseline. The refs say it last touch the Knicks. They didn’t know what to do. They looked at each other and the dude just pointed that that way. Knicks are just a step slow on defense. A step slow in transition and they haven’t been moving the ball. Two turnovers already for OG as Suggs gets a wide open three. No good. Rebound by Towns. Shot to my man Greg Williams has just capped a capped a bottle. Trace Agave on Tequila. You man Brunson baseline foul. He’ll be fouled by Vagner. I believe it will be on the ground. He’s arguing that it’s shooting. We’ll see as Doris Burke is on the call. Oh, Jesus Christ. You scared me. Oh, I thought she got Never mind. Brunson to throw it in. Gets it to Cat. Cat being guarded up top trying to create. Finds Brunson. Gets Carter to switch on him. Attacking the big into the lane. Power dribble into the corner. Shamut for three. You got it. Landry Shamut off the bench making an impact. Cuts the lead to six. They’re going to post up. Vagner at the foul line against Shamut right to the lane. Shot up. No good. Rebound by Towns. Big big board. That’s a big board. Shaman in transition. Dribble hand off to Bridges. Right to Towns. Towns. Back to Bridges. A little give and go. And then it’s blocked by Vagner. What a defensive play. Then it’s a loose ball picked up by the Knicks. They have numbers. Brunson ahead of the pack into the lane. Bully ball layup. Missed it. Brunson missed a point blank bunny. Here comes Orlando running. Suggs stopping pop three. Off the mark. No good. Rebound by the Knicks. Brunson bringing it up midcourt. He’ll get a screen from Towns. Drives into the corner. Hands off to OG and right back to Cat. Cat driving left wing to the right elbow out to Shamut. Shamut driving, swinging. Towns looking to create, trying to buy space. Bully ball contact. Mini up and in. He wants the foul as well. Big bucket from Towns. Give me some 32s. Bane using the Carter screen. Gets it to Berrow. Bridges on him. He’ll put it on the deck now. He’ll back him down. Pull up. 16 ft. Midi. No good. Rebound by Towns. Here comes the Knicks. Bridges into the lane. Stop. Pop. Midi. Got it. Mid-range Jay for mid-range Jay. But it’s good on this side. Two-point ball game. Chance of defense now emerging from the seats. Vagner defended by Sham getting a screen from Carter. Kicks it into the corner. Bane for three. No good. Rebound by Bridges. A chance to take the lead. He’s moving into the lane. Out to Shamut for three. He’s fouled, but they didn’t call it. Brunson keeps it alive with the board out to Shamut. Missed it. A good look there and couldn’t connect. Suggs do a trailing bankro driving on Bridges met by Anobi. Blocked, but Carter picks up the loose ball and lays it up and in. Brunson in the front court. Only 13 points for the Knicks with under four and a half to go. Spin move by Brunson. Right hand layup fouled. He’ll go to the line for a pair. He’s been really he’s been intent at getting to the front of the rim. Yeah. And um he’s a guy that always despite his smaller stature, he’s a guy that is comfortable playing around the hoop, in the paint, around the basket. has a nice little low post bag as well. And uh we’ve known that he’s so good at drawing fouls and getting to the line. So good. And he gets fouled a lot as well. He doesn’t necessarily hunt them out, but he gets fouled. And uh those are easy. Some would say he gets fouled the most. The most fouls. Free throw for Brunson is good. What up, Anthony Boyd? What’s up, man? Knicks down four. Fire Mike Brown according to David Payton says, “I watched the show during my banquet.” Chills. That’s sick. You the man. Thank you for being a real one. Thanks for supporting, bro. Sham it must be most effective on the wing, says DSC as Josh Hart will check in for OG Anobi as Mike Brown and Anobi chatting it up on the sideline. Brown a teaching moment doing this number. OG just kind of staring at him like are you done? Van Carol to bring it up. They’ll move it around. Is that my guy goat? Should have been a nick. Anthony Black in the game. Good player using the Bakero screen. Kicks it out to the right wing. D Silva drive kick. Black in the corner. Good. Makes down five. Quickly the other way. It’s Josh Hart. Lost the dribble. got it back and then he passes it and it’s stolen. Lazy pass by Hart. The Knicks have been really, really out of whack here to start. Hart now drawing the assignment to Ban Carro. Kicks it in the corner. Jones floater up and in. No good. A floater up. Not in. Shout out to Jones. Hart to Towns. Guarded by Pat Bat. Top of the key. Dribble hand off to Bridges. Turns the corner. Has the Silva on his hip. Step back. Throws it up. Towns jump too early. keeps it alive. Brunson knifing in the corner to keep the play alive. And he just throws it off Anthony Black. And they’re actually going to call a foul on Black. They say he shoved Brunson. Is that Taius Jones? I think so. Yeah. I was uh I was actually I was going to wonder if there was any Joneses on this team tonight. I didn’t check get a chance to check the roster, but uh Tus Jones good player. He was a guy I wanted the Knicks to get last year. They ended up going with uh with Cameron Payne, I think, for the Jones didn’t choose the Knicks. They wanted him though. Yeah, he was uh he’s a good passer. Brunson gets a screen from Robinson who checks back in. Pull up three. Good. Jayen Brunson throwing it in from distance. He’s up to 11 and the Knicks are down by two. Jones gets a screen, kicks it out to Banero. Banero driving on Hart. Jump stop layup. missed it, but an offensive rebound by Bat out into the corner for three. No good. Anthony Black couldn’t connect. Shamut playing with pace, bringing it up the right side and he’ll kick it back out to Brunson who finds Hart on the weak side. Hart driving. Nowhere to go. Finds a cutting Bridges. Bad pass turnover. Another one. The Knicks are playing horrible basketball. Then hard block. A hard block. He glasses Tus Jones. Gets back into the picture. And now he’s holding his hand. Black driving kick to Carter. Carter crosscourt to Dilva. 26-footer. Got it. Really liked him in the draft a couple of years ago. Tristan Dilva. Nicks back down by five. 220 to go. Brunson off the Robinson screen. Picks his dribble up. Throws it to Bridges. Then sets him a screen. Bridges dribbles to the middle. Swings it back to Hart. 10 on the shot clock. Hart going to get a screen from Robinson guarding by Bat. dribble hand off to Shamut and it’s an offensive foul on Josh Hart. That’s three turnovers on Josh Hart in two minutes. He’s uh not ready to play, not sharp and um held his hand after that hit. He hit the deck. Hopefully that finger injury is okay. He’s uh and he’s okay. But I may not be okay cuz Johnson U came in with five bucks and said the Knicks gods say in order to win a chip you have to sacrifice either Connell or Alper. Who are you sacrificing? Both of them. Oh, both of them. Both of them. Hey, I I would I would do it for a Knicks chip as well. Seven points off turnovers for Orlando. Zero for the Knicks. Bancer spin move into the lane. Drop off. Pata. He dropped it. Ball on the deck. Battling against Robinson. Fouled and one. Here’s Bataz. Hustles for that rebound. Robinson gets up in the air and that point you’re cooked. And Bataz takes the contact. Ah, that is that is a tough call on Robinson. A pretty weak call. We can get some BS’s in the chat for that. I think that was a weak that was a weak call. Did not a lot of contact there as he gets the free throw to go. Knicks down by eight. I think the biggest lead of the night for Orlando. Knicks look like a team that played last night. Brunson, Hart, Robinson, Anobia, McBride in the game. Deuce will have it. Top of the key. Going to get a screen here from Mitch. No separation created. He’ll use the screen twice. Gets to the foul line. Pull up from 13. No good. Big offensive rebound by Josh Hart. Then he’ll pass and it’s deflected out of bounds again. Come on, Josh. Lock in, bro. Not even looking to score. There was no defender in the way between him and the rim. And you would think he’d have confidence in his offensive abilities and shot with the way he’s been shooting the ball. You got to still he’s still got to change his mindset to just look at the hoop. Brunson into McBride. Driving kick. OG for three. No good. An offensive rebound by Robinson. He’ll throw it out Dan and Obi and they’ll reset. OG driving on Jonathan Isaac and he’s fouled. Isaac saying he didn’t do anything. OG and Hart have been sir drops a lot with the basketball today. OG to the line for a pair here. Chance to cut the lead to six. Already two turnovers for Anobi. This will tow the line. His first free throw is good. Be cool if you can close this quarter strongly and try to get this to under five is the second free throw for OG is also good. 26-20 113 to go as Jones will bring it up. McBride all over him. He’ll swing to the Silva standing on the Knicks logo. Swinging to black. Black gets the screen, finds a cutting Carter, rifles it into the corner, wide open. Isaac three, no good rebound by Robinson. Here come the Knicks. Under 55 to go in the quarter. McBride playing with pace, stopping, popping three. It’s up and in. Miles McBride coming in and making plays. It’s a three-point game. 45 to go. Jones can’t escape. McBride has to run through a series of screens. He’ll swing it back out to Dilva. Back to Jones. McBride all over him into the corner. Isaac driving and Josh Hart fouled him. Didn’t need to do it. The Knicks are in the bonus. Josh Hart has played this is the worst Josh Hart quarter of the year. Yeah, he’s uh and it’s it’s stuff that you normally expect better of him. You know, he knows how to slide his feet and play defense. You know, he knows where to pass the ball and how to make the right play. He’s uh just not ready to play tonight. That’s really it. What is he doing? I don’t know. I wish I knew. Maybe uh maybe the Knicks celebrated their win last night a little too hard cuz uh it’s pretty much across the team that they’re not ready to play. Yeah, not not a great start for him. Can number three does not look good out there as we were just hyping him up in the pregame. It’s your fault, Marshall. It’s always my fault. There’s actually Josh Hart on my shirt as both free throws are good for Isaac. Nick’s down by five with 30 seconds left. Brunson will bring it up slowly. They’ll just hold for a good look here. Always takes a song or two for the band to warm up. Love that. Brunson defended by Anthony Black. He’s a good young defender. Gets a screen from Robinson. Another one from Deuce. Has it on the block off the glass. No good. Robinson can’t grab it. Plenty of time for Orlando. Black the other way. Coast to coast. Laying it up and in. That was horrible transition defense by the Knicks. They’re down seven with four to go. Brunson throws it to Hart. Crossing midcourt with two. He’ll fire a three. Good if it goes. It doesn’t. The Knicks play a horrible first quarter, down by seven. Josh Hart has been barking at the ref all game long. Josh, the ref didn’t force you to turn it over three times. The ref didn’t force you to foul lazily on a closeout on Jonathan Isaac, Josh Hart, and the Knicks. They get a D of a performance for me in that first quarter. Nothing was good enough. Yeah, and I if they were down by more, I think I would even go towards F, but I think D is a good spot to be. um just not much to hang your hat on and say the Knicks did this well in the first quarter. I think they’re lucky to be where they were. They they had um almost came all the way back and had it 26-23 at one point and they let the Magic close the quarter with a 40 26-23 with Jonathan Isaac catching the ball in the corner with three on the shot clock and Josh Hart just fouls him on the baseline drive. So not great. Um Knicks not ready to play tonight. maybe feeling themselves after a win last week, but um needs to be better. And I’m seeing pretty much the same in the chat. We got D’s. We got a couple F minuses from Isaac Bob the Builder. Callum Hughes with an F as well. Stacy the D minus and OG 718 comes in for with B for buns. Yeah, not ideal. Pat Chu says lowercase D. Pause. Yeah, probably their worst quarter of the year. You think this is their worst quarter of the year? It’s up there. It’s up there. That was bad. That was just bad all around. It was so bad. The worst as uh let’s take a look. I guess if you want to say their defense was good. I don’t even know if that’s them or the Magic or just not a good shooting team. Magic only on pace for 120. It couldn’t have been too good. Yeah. Three of 10 from beyond the arc. Not a great percentage from the field. The Knicks don’t shoot the ball well and they turn the ball over six times with only one assist. I think that’s the key stat to look at as to why they’re down so far. Yeah, that and fast break. Not not Yeah. Seth Gross says strong defense will kickstart the offense. That’s what you need. That’s uh that’s how you can get on go on a run in basketball. Kind of just get a steal, get an easy bucket, get the offense going a little bit. Knicks need uh someone to make it’s almost like in football when you need a turnover. The Knicks need to force a turnover, make a make a play, and uh kind of bring some energy to this team. So, we’ll look to see we can get maybe some bench guys in. I know Deuce had some minutes there. Obviously, Hart came off the bench. I’d like to see maybe Jordan Clarkson come in. The Knicks offense looks like it needs a little bit of a spark. Let’s get him in there, get him going. Um, this could be a game where the Knicks need him to score a lot. Yeah, no energy. Sloppy play. Sloppy. When you have six turnovers, that’s a that’s a sloppy first quarter. uh on pace for 24 throughout the game. Not great. It’ll be Bridges, Towns, Clarkson, McBride, and Yavi in the game. Towns will have it. Top of the key, 10 to shoot. Hands it off to McBride. McBride, jab, step, takes it down to the right lane. Kick out. Towns for three. No good. Rebound by Orlando. The Knicks are going to need Towns to start knocking in some shots. Hasn’t shot the ball all that well this year from downtown. And then they’re going to try to post up Wendell Carter and they’re going to call flag on a flag a foul on McBride. He He was He was holding him like it was a defensive holding in football. All right, Jones to have it for Orlando. He’ll have it top of the key. Kicks it to the right wing to Black. Black off the screen into the lane. Left hand layup. No good. An offensive board for Carter. Missed it again. got his own rebound. Yaviselli poked it away. Now Clarkson and Carter on the ground tied up. They don’t call anything. Swings it to Black. Black throws intercepted. McBride jumped it. McBride now in the front court finds Clarkson. Extra pass. Yabu three. Good. Yavanu Garan Yabelli from the corner. 30- 26. The Knicks needed all three of those. Vagner the other way getting a screen. McBride or Bridges chasing spin move push no good rebound by Towns. Here come the Knicks. McBride bringing it up along the left side. He wanted to attack. Finds the trailing Towns. Towns has it stolen. Stolen, but Vagner with active hands so far. Black drive kick. Jones on the baseline out to Carter. Carter travel. And uh we see we’re seeing Towns and Yaboo play together. Interesting dynamic there. Yoselli maybe able to kind of take some more of a an interior defensive presence with uh with Towns in the game. But good to see him knock down that open three, get some confidence with this shot. Over a thousand people watching. Please hit that like button. Towns at the left elbow, guarded by Carter. Puts it on the deck. Hands off to Deuce. Duce drives to the right wing. He’ll pull it out. They’re trying to post up Towns. He can’t. McBride for three. No good. Towns looks soft out there. He’s getting pushed around by Carter. Getting pushed around by Vagner. It’s time for Towns to play some bully ball as Bridges gets in the passing lanes. Gets a steal. He’ll throw it up to McBride. McBride to Clarkson. They missed Diab on the back door cut and then Clarkson’s pass is knocked out of bounds. That hit the baseline. They didn’t call it another turnover for the Knicks. They’re stacking them up. Bane driving layup and they call it a foul. Clarkson picks up the foul and uh Orlando is they came to play tonight. They know that they’re not having their the start they wanted to the season. The Knicks, everyone’s talking about how great the Knicks look and they wanted they’re trying to make a statement here tonight on national television. Bane knocks down that first free throw. as both free throws are good. Nick’s down by four. McBride gives it to Towns. Towns lays it up and in. Nice strong play by him. Bane throws it up too high. It bounced off the backboard right out to Carter. No one closed him out. He’ll now throw it into Vagner. Vagner lays it up. Point blank range over Clarkson. That was weak sauce by Jordan Clarkson. And the Knicks almost turn it over again. Jordan Clarkson is is struggling out there right now. McBride bridges Clarkson Towns Yaboo. McBride throws it into Cat. Cat fakes the handoff on the right wing. Jab step puts it on the deck. Carrie into the lane. Flopping. No foul. And now the Magic are out and running. Towns is still in the back court. Doesn’t get back. It’s a five on four break. And Desmond Bane lays it up and in. Carl Anthony Towns. Very frustrating player. very frustrating player forcing the shot. He’s now letting the mental edge creep into this game and take him out. Take him out of it. Bridges pull up. Midi no good. Isaac pushing around Towns. Then Towns throws Isaac to the ground 90 ft from the basket. Carl Anthony Towns is mentally weak tonight. Not ready to play. Yeah, it didn’t take much. Him and Isaac battling for a board. Pretty much normal stuff that goes on in an NBA game. and Town’s frustrated he wasn’t able to get the ball. He’s missed a couple shots. Felt like he hasn’t gotten the calls and just shoves Isaac right in front of the ref and uh you just can’t do that. Just no reason. And um wouldn’t surprise me if they look further at that even though it wasn’t a hard call. And yeah, they’ve they’ve called uh something as Bane takes a free throw by himself. It’s a take foul. So, the magic at the free throw and the ball. I just don’t really enjoy watching him play basketball. I mean, that’s just like you tell a little kid that like you can’t just sometimes the shots aren’t going to go in. You can’t let that just you can’t just foul and run. You cry because you got a blue piece of candy and not a red piece of candy. Go back on defense. Make a play. Vagner getting a screen from Bane. Knicks will switch it. Now Bridges will guard Bane as he handles. Getting a screen from Paulo. Kicks it into the corner. Anthony Black. A clean look. No good. Towns can’t grab the board. Banero does. Shot up. Missed it. And then Pat cleans it up. The Knicks are small out there right now. They’re getting beat up on both ends of the floor. An embarrassing performance for the Knicks on prime time. Bridges to Hart to McBride. Baseline drive is cut off. Throws it in. Turnover. And look, when you allow the captains to turn it over, everyone’s going to turn it over. No one taking responsibility of the basketball. The Knicks are getting blown out so far. Black drive, throws it away. They’re saying Bridges touched it. And now the refs will meet to talk about it. And they’ll saying they say Bridges knocked it out of bounds. cuz it’ll be magic ball. Ben Carol has it at the top, throws it into Vagner has great position and knocks in a two over Bridges. The Magic make the Knicks look small. As Bridges drives, he’s going to be fouled. That’s uh it’s just too easy for the Magic there. Nick’s no resistance. They’re just like telling their taller players to go post up and they’re getting him the ball. McBride throws it into Towns. Towns lucky get doesn’t get called for an offensive foul. Kicks to McBride. His three way off. Rebound by the Magic. The Knicks are one and done. Ben Carro the other way. Gets a screen from Bat. He’ll have a match up on Towns. Doesn’t take advantage. Instead, gets it to Bane. Bane gets a screen. His pass deflected. Stolen by the Knicks. Clarkson in transition. Stop and pop for three. No good. That was a horrible shot. Bane the other way. Drives into the lane. Flops. Doesn’t get a call. Knicks have it. Towns up ahead to Hart. Hart reverse layup and in one. Count it. Josh Hart holding his face. Can that be the spark the Knicks need? He stays down on the court. Vagner comes over to check on him. Yeah, I think he might have got eye gouged. Hopefully that can wake the New York Knicks up. I need them need them to wake up and help me out here cuz we are not looking good. Johnson says the Knicks are tired. You’re right. That’s that’s that’s how we do it here. When the Knicks play bad, the excuse you’ll learn, Andrew Connell, is they’re tired. Yeah. Well, that was uh I’m sure that was easy under Tom Tibido. It’s oh, they play too many minutes. They play too many minutes. Which maybe some truth to that, but um that hasn’t been the case so far this season. So, if you’re if you’re tired in game 11 of the season, that’s a you problem. Yeah. Yeah. You’re not conditioned properly u throughout the season. I don’t know. I don’t curious what their practice habits are, how how hard they go in practice, but that can’t be it. They just It seems more like in here than anything physically that’s going on with the Knicks tonight. What? They have eight eight turnovers. Uh yeah, let’s double check, but they had six at the end of the first only forced one. So, uh So, you’re waking making way too much sense. It would never be as easy as the not tired. The Magic are a good team. It would never just be that easy. But no, look, the Knicks can’t get out of their own way. They’ve turned the ball over nine times. Yeah. And only five assists when that’s in You’re lucky the Orlando Magic have turned it over six times. Yeah. And that’s uh something they’ve done a little better. Force some turnovers this quarter. Uh Magic didn’t turn it over a lot in the first, but they’re going to need more of that if they want to get back in this game. Hopefully Hart can convert this free throw and the Knicks can go on a little bit of a run. Hopefully we’re singing a different song at halftime. Hart to the line looking to convert the three-point play to get it down to 10. Jacobe, what’s up? Beast mode as Hart gets it to go. 4131. 640 to go. It’s Hart, Bridges, and Towns with McBride, and Brunson on the floor. Bane, Suggs, Yabu, Dilva, and Vagner. Suggs gets a screen, kicks it out to Bane. Bane will drive, kicks it out. Vagner for three. Air ball. Bane steals it from Towns. He’s not ready to play. Vagner for three. Good. Carl Anthony Towns. He needs to wake up or sit him down. Wake up or sit down, big fella. You’re pouting on the floor and you’re causing your team to play like [ __ ] Brunson kicks to heart. He’ll fire a three. That was a laser and it was a brick. The Knicks look terrible. Bogner drive kick. Suggs pump fake blows by Brunson. Layup line layup and in. The Knicks are getting blown out. Down 15. They have 30 points with 540 to go. They are not ready to roll as Brunson’s pass is deflected by Vagner. They just look terrible. Yeah, that’s it. And we’re seeing this is the first time we’ve seen them look that bad. We’ve seen only highs so far this season. We’ve seen them score 40 points in a single quarter. They’re now through one and a half and they barely crossed over 30. Um, not their best, not good enough. And um I’m choosing to believe this is not who they are and they are the team that they’ve shown us so far this season. Brunson will throw it in from the side. He gets it to McBride. Right back to him. Town sits down. Thank goodness. Robinson subs in. We’ll see what happens. Brunson into the game lane. Mid-range shot up. It was a 15-point game when Towns checked out. I believe he’ll be done for the half. Can they close the lead? Bane pump fake drive. has to redirect. Vagner for three. No good. Robinson battling with Pat. Can’t grab the board. Bane with a wide open three. Missed it. Rebound by Anobi. Move the ball. He gets it to Hart. Hart on the left wing. Defender sagging off. He’ll throw it to Anobi at the top. Right back to Hart. Hart finds Brunson. Top of the key. Gonna get a screen from Robinson. He’ll use it. Attacking Bane. Step back three, fouled. Jaylen Brunson going to go to the line for three. That looked like Bane got into his landing space there. Hopefully that’s all right. He’s all right. Didn’t turn an ankle or anything. But, uh, I think it’s a good thing the NBA calls out a little more because that’s an easy way for a player to roll their ankle if a guy gets into their landing space. Brunson kicks his leg out a little, but Bane, when you’re coming forward, anytime a guy’s taking a three and you’re not jumping straight up, you give the refs the opportunity to make that call. They now review it to see if it’s a flagrant foul. So, we’ll see what comes of this review. Checking to see if it’s a flagrant foul. Um, let’s see. It’s It’s clear that the plan right now, the last two possessions, is let’s try to see if we can get Jaylen Brunson going and get back into this game because and I hate that he’s the safety valve, but and okay, things are not going well. Let’s just ride Brunson. But again, we’re lucky to have a guy like him. Hopefully, he can get going. He’s been the only one showing up with 13 so far. It’ll be a common foul, I believe. Three free throws still coming. I believe Paulo Bancero is questionable to return with a groin injury. It’s a big loss for them. Let’s see if the Knicks can take advantage. And let’s see if the Knicks can try and cut down on this lead and get close to tying it up for halftime. Brunson. Three free throws coming up and he missed the first. Not a way to get back into the game. Missing free throws, free points. Second free throw for Brunson is no good. One thing I I’ve always complained about with him is his free throw shooting. He’s way too good of a scoreer in the mid-range to shoot like he does. Shot 82% last year. He should be a 90% guy. Yeah, you’re you’re as he gets the third to go. You want to be an MVP level guy, get that percentage up. Gives you extra points, an extra point or two a game as well. Helps your team out. That that’s what matters. There was a stretch a year and a half ago where he couldn’t buy a fourth quarter free throw. Bane to Pat. Pick and roll. Lay up, up and in. Knicks aren’t ready to play today. They don’t want to play today. Just And it doesn’t look like a lot of contact, but as Bat can make his free throws. Three-point play down 15. 440 to go. Knicks are getting run out of the building. Brunson hands off to Hart. Gets it to OG. Finds Robinson at the elbow. He’ll put it on the deck. Dribble hand off to McBride. He’ll turn the corner. Gets to the lane. Looking to create. Rips it out to Hart. Hart takes a three. No good. Robinson with the board out to Deuce for three. No good. The Knicks are laying out. They are laying brick after brick right now. 417 from three. Vagner gets the mismatch. Guarded by Brunson. Takes him to the lane. Easy layup and in. You’re down 17 in the first half. They’re getting smoked. Hart top of the key. All they have it’s just all it is is dribble handoff. Dribble handoff. Dribble handoff. No one can beat their man off the bounce. They got to use a screen and it’s not even doing anything. McBride. The ball is consistently in the hands of Josh Hart. He’ll have to create falling spin away two brick. This is disgusting basketball for the Knicks. And then it’s going to be an offensive foul on Orlando. Jaylen Brunson draws it. Yeah, if if Josh Hart has the ball at the end of the shot clock, the offense is not doing what it’s supposed to be doing. Um and yeah, Suggs just elbows, taps, pushes Brunson for no reason, trying to get one of those back into the guy fouls. Tries to sell it like he’s the one who got fouled. Can’t believe the foul was called and the Knicks will get the ball back. It’s hard to score with Robinson and Hart in the lineup. I’d like to see Bridges in the game. Brunson step back three. Brick rebound by Robinson and then goes out of bounds. Turnover. And the ref’s going to come in and change the call. 317 to go. Brunson throws it into Robinson. And then Bane is going to foul Brunson away from the ball. Never allowed him to enter the court of play after he threw it in. See if he can knock these ones down. I think it’ll be s out of bounds. Not going to the line. Looked like he was, dude. She sucks. Yeah. Yeah. What? I like what’s the point of saying that. Doris Burke just said sometimes on occasion Jaylen Brunson enhances the call. Like what? Just I don’t agree. But if you want to call him out just for flopping, call him out for flopping. Don’t word it as he enhances calls once in a while. Brunson in the lane. Can’t shake him. Kick out three. Sham it. They’re going to say he’s fouled. Very choppy game today. Choppy, choppy, choppy. Nick’s get to the line. See if they can cut into the lead. Would like to see this get close to 10 by halftime. Shaman knocks down the first. The toughness. He’s the toughest. Misses the second. Missed free throws. Turning the ball over. Not rebounding the ball. The Knicks aren’t doing the little things. gets the third to go. Jones will have it on the left wing. Gets a screen, finds a slashing Carter. His elbow jumper is good. right over Carl Anthony Towns as soon as he checks into the ball game. Brunson gets a screen from Towns, kicks it to him. Cat puts it on the deck, hands off to Bridges. Bridges into the corner to OG. They’ll post up. Towns on Vagner on the left block and he will throw up a hook shot. Air ball and then he doesn’t get back on defense and Vagner goes coast to coast and lays it up and in. This is one of the worst games by an individual I’ve seen this year. Carl Anthony Towns quite literally killing you on both sides of the floor. He’ll set a screen for Bridges. Bridges elbow midi. Good Jones off the screen. Gets it to Carter. Carter going to put it on the deck. Pull up Midi over towns. Good. You get you get reminded of these games every once in a while of can you win a championship with a player like Carl Anthony Towns on your team. Brunson into the lane forces a shot. No good. The Knicks look like Tom Tibido’s back on the sideline right now. A lot of me ball, a lot of iso ball. My turn, your turn. And then Tristan Dilva walking down Brunson. The Knicks are down 21 in the first half. They have 38 points. Brunson to drive, layup up, fouled, no good. And if you’re Carl, if you’re Carl Anthony Towns, you’re going to have to guard players a lot better than Wendell Carter if the Knicks want to win a championship. And right now, Carter is taking it at him every single possession, and he’s not doing anything to stop him. This is uh it’s ugly right now. It’s it’s ugly basketball. It’s tough to watch. And um I’m sure everyone’s going to chalk it up to the the second night of a backto-back, but this seems like deeper than that. This is these are mental mental mistakes. Doesn’t seem like the Knicks are physically tired. They’re just not making the right decisions out there, not in the right spots. And um it’s discouraging to see. MK A Doza says, “Would you trade Cat for Anthony Davis?” Straight up. I think I would. I think I would. I think he’s a little older. 32 years old. I think he might be on a Cat’s contract is also terrible. Anthony Davis is 32 years old. Carl Anthony Towns is 29 years old. The only reason you I think you wouldn’t do it is because you’re worried about Anthony Davis’s long-term health. Mhm. Um you could be one of the league’s best defensive teams rolling out a lineup of Mitchell Robinson, Anthony Davis, OG Bridges, and Brunson. That would be a scary sight for defenses. And Town uh Davis has a lot of the same skill set as Towns offensively, maybe not as skilled with his shooting, but uh he can handle the ball. He can kind of get buckets through from all three levels. Uh like you said, just hasn’t been able to stay healthy for a lot a lot of his career. But um I’m interested I’m interested in that. And listen, if it gets the Knicks are in win now mode that yes, they have to consider obviously they can’t ignore the future of this team, but the Knicks are trying to win a championship this season. So if there’s a move out there that makes them a better team this season, I think Leon Rose would do it. saw Callum Hughes came in with the fact that we had 42 points in the first quarter yesterday and it’s looking like we may not even get that in the entire first half. Brunson’s led the way with 14, but even he’s been sloppy. He’s missed a few free throws. Um, not his best game and it feels like he’s searching out there a little bit. It doesn’t look comfortable. It doesn’t look easy. Clarkson had a had a couple mistakes when he got in there. Didn’t get on the on the score sheet. Um we were looking for him to maybe make an impact and be a game where he can score with the Knicks needing offense. He couldn’t get it done. Deuce hit one three. Um his offense has kind of gone quiet the last couple games. Would love to see him pick it up and get hot. Uh Landry Sham with five points. Um he still missed some free throws as well, so um still room for him to be better. Anobi has gone quiet, only two so far. Bridges only with four so far. Josh Hart shooting the ball pretty poorly today. One of five from the field, 03 from downtown. And three turnovers, no assist for Hart. And Towns hasn’t really gotten it going as well. Four points, 0 of two from three. Excuse me. as the Knicks knock down the first free throw. Jaylen Brunson and he knocks down the second one as well. Nicks are Nicks cut the lead to 19. All right, can you get this to 12? It’ll be Tyus Jones on the right wing, defended by Shamut. D Silva using a screen from Carter. Gets to the elbow, walks into the lane, fouled by Towns or Brunson. Going to call a foul on Towns. I mean, what are you even saying at halftime if you’re Mike Brown? There’s and and I guess this is an interesting to think about. You know, if the Knicks played this first half under Tom Tibido, he would be going in there. He would be reaming them, yelling at them, screaming at them, telling them they need to do all XYZ better. I don’t know if Mike Brown, we haven’t seen him have that kind of disposition out there on the court, that kind of fiery disposition. He’s a guy who’s smiling a lot, always seems to be happy. And listen, the Knicks have given him a lot of reason to be happy early, but I don’t know if he has that scream and yell as Dilva misses it and Towns drops the rebound. It’ll go out of bounds. It’ll stick here with Orlando. I mean, he he has the mental strength of of of a freaking wet tissue, man. He just crumbles and it affects every aspect of the game. One as simple as just catching a rebound. Doesn’t block boxs out. doesn’t box out there the Knicks, but the ball pops out to Bridges. Under 60 seconds to go. Bridges and Towns. Little twoman game. Towns on the roll. Lays it up and in. Jones to Vagner. Vagner just beating Towns up the floor and he lays it up and in. I I can’t believe this, man. This is This is disgusting basketball from Carl Anthony Towns. It’s a disgusting effort from Carl Anthony Towns. Brunson iso kicks it out to Bridges. Back out to Brunson. Three-point try. Left wing. No good. Rebound by Isaac. 10 seconds left in the quarter. They can hold for the final look here. Vagner on the right wing, guarded by Bridges. He’ll pull up from 30. Missed it. And then Wendell Carter going to be called for an offensive foul. Shoving Brunson to the ground. I think that’s going to send Brunson to the line here. Starting to see this game get a little physical, a little chippy. Um, not sure if that plays into the Knicks advantage, but I’d at least like them to show some fight, play hard out there, and maybe focus on coming back in this game instead of getting tangled up with Orlando. So what they call a double foul double foul. It appears they’ll jump it at center court. 2.7 seconds left. It’ll be Towns and Carter doing the jumping. Enough time to get a shot off. as Towns tips it to Brunson. Brunson turned it over. Fs in the chat. Fs in the chat. That’s the worst performance of the season. Worst performance of the season. Type those Fs. The Knicks have been complaining with the officials all night long. It’s um yeah, I mean there’s not much to say. We’ve been saying it all game that they’re not playing up to the standard. They’re not even playing up to the standard of a winning team, much less a playoff team, much less a championship team. Um and you know, it’s the NBA. It’s hard to play at your best for all 82, but this is far from the Knicks best. They are playing definitely their worst game of the season so far. And um not even playing at an NBA level tonight. They’re down 20 at half. Yeah. C and Callum says Orlando’s not even playing that well. we’re just handing him the game. And I think there’s a lot of truth in that. And I don’t even have confidence of the Knicks. People are saying it it’s this game can come, you can come back in this game, but the Knicks are not a good third quarter team historically. So, um they’re going to have to be if they want to try and come back and uh put a dent in this lead from Orlando. Let them lose sometime, says Richie. RTY Gamer, my man. $5 super chat. Salute to you, bro. Mark TV, what up? Shout out to everybody here. Yeah, brutal first half. Brutal first half. Disgusting effort. Um, every flaw for Carl Anthony Towns was on display in that half. Not playing defense, sulking, uh, mentally being checked out of the game because he got a little bit roughed up. Like you you look at the box score in this one, AC, and it’s six rebounds, seven assists. Marshall, he’s playing all right. Only 43% from the field. No, you got to watch the game to see it is negative play after negative play after losing play after losing play. You’re down 20. It’s not just him, but he is the highest paid player on the team by a good bit. And I believe he is the reason the Knicks came out slow in this one. Yeah. I mean, he’s the poster boy for all the things they’re not doing well. And he kind of has some of these things happen every single game, but it gets overlooked or masked by the fact that the Knicks are a good team and they usually win. um this these kind of what we’re seeing from him tonight is not too different from what we see on a normal night in terms of that defensive uh aspect. Yeah, like you said, his his uh raw shooting numbers don’t look terrible and his contributions don’t look terrible and he’s on pace for a double double, but definitely having a net negative impact on the team. Shout out to RTY Gamer coming in with five. It’s the first backtoback of the season. Still early, but they need to wake up this second half. Yeah, it might lead might be too big. Game might already be over, but yeah. Um I’m not going to give them the backto back excuse to be quite frank with you. Uh that’s too easy of a reason. They’re they’re not ready to play. They don’t look tired out there. They don’t look locked in. They don’t look like they want to do anything it takes to win the basketball game today. Um Josh Hart came in, turned the ball over three times in two minutes. Carl Anthony Towns not getting back on defense. He’s sulking. He is flopping. Jaylen Brunson not taking care of the basketball. Uh, everybody has a part in why the Knicks are losing this game. It comes down to this. They’re beating you on the glass. You’re missing a lot of shots and you’re turning the ball over at an unreal rate right now. They have 28 rebounds to your 19. You’re supposed to be the big bad New York Knicks. They have three more offensive rebounds than you. You have two more turnovers than them. And your strength is knocking down threes. And you’re shooting 21% from there. Yeah. you’re letting Orlando, a poor three-point shooting team, outshoot you. And they’re not shooting great either. That kind of goes to the point of they’re not winning this game. The Knicks are losing this game and handing it to them. So, um, they got to just whatever they did coming into the game in that first half, do the opposite of it when they come out for the second half. So, uh, shout out to you, RTY Gamer. Appreciate your support, my man. Yeah. I know they need to wake up. Um, they look terrible. They look terrible, brother. Shout out to everybody in the building. We are doing a raffle this month. A signed Walt Clyde Frasier basketball. You can see the signature there. Want to keep it in the bag. Um, yeah, we will be doing this all month long. And when we do our last game of the month, we will do that raffle after the game. Uh these are the amount of tickets that you get for the dollar amount of super chats. $10 will get you a ticket, $20 will get you three tickets. Um 50 will get you eight tickets and so much more. He says, “I’m going to give the Knicks a U for unsatisfactory in that first half.” What’ he say? I’m going to give them a U for unsatisfactory in that first half. and and they’re they’re letting Orlando, who is not known as a good offensive team, drop 60 on them in the first half as well. Um, as the halftime crew breaks down all the Knicks defensive breakdowns on the broadcast, shout out to Greg. We appreciate you. Greg Williams, you the man, bro. Thank you for being a real one. A U for unsatisfactory. A Johnson U. A Johnson U. All right, we just got a new poll going on in the chat. Uh, can the Knicks come back to win? Yes or no? Go ahead and vote. Let us know what you think. They’re down 20 at a half to the Orlando Magic. So, um, look, they still can if they if the Knicks play like we know that they can play, they can make up these 20 points against Orlando, but if they play anywhere near what they’re doing tonight, there’s no shot they’re coming back. Yeah. Everything you did in that first half, you got to do the opposite here in the second half. Like, this isn’t a great Orlando Magic team right now, especially without Berolo. I mean, they are four and six on the year. And I get it. We shouldn’t probably look at records. Five and six on the year. Um Oh, you made a good point. I don’t think the Knicks are I don’t think the Magic are beating the Knicks and the Knicks are beating the Magic. Yeah, that was the chat, too. They they pointed that out. Um so, shout out to them. It’s um like you to look at Orlando’s numbers and they’re not popping off the page and somehow yet they still have 60 points. I mean, four of 16 from from downtown. That’s not And you’ve let them get to the line. They’re 12 of 13. They’re they’re taking advantage of their uh of their easy looks. It’s um I don’t know. Feel like Jay Money makes a good point and I love when sports fans do this. Remember they were down 20 twice to the Celtics. True. Just like when the Knicks start or when the Giants start 0 and2 every uh year. It’s the classic. You know, they started 0 and2 the year they won the Super Bowl. You know what I wanted to say that it’s it’s right in front of us. Right in front of the Knicks. Shout out to uh Aaron Boon. It’s always right in front of them. Uh fans believe though 75% of people say anything that said yes, the Knicks come back. No, Ben Carro, you got to wake up here. How about a quick start to the third? Yeah, they need to start hitting some threes, forcing some turnovers when they get to the line, knocking it down. Obviously 80% as a team, not terrible, but having Brunson miss two, you just you just can’t do that if you’re Jaylen Brunson. See what’s going on around the NBA. Hornets up big against the Bucks in the third quarter. Pistons beating the Bulls. Celtics beating the Grizzlies. Heater beating the Cavs. Rockets beating the Wizards. Pelicans beating the Blazers. And the Spurs beating the Warriors right now. A lot of action across the association today. Still four games yet to tip as well. Suns Mavs, Lakers Thunder, Hawks, Kings, and Nuggets Clipper. Is that Is every team playing tonight? How many games is that? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11. There may be a few teams off, but I think almost every team in action tonight. Let’s go. Let’s go. Come on, Knicks. Wake up, man. I hate losing on prime time. Yeah. And now that we’re good, people love to clown the Knicks. And clown Nick fans before they were even good, but now they were good. They’re extra. They’re waiting for the Knicks to slip up so they can clown them. Um I hate that. Callum said, “Marsh, any update on Dart’s concussion?” Serious enough for them to name Jameus Winston the starter on a Wednesday? I I I wouldn’t be surprised if he misses next week as well. I think it’s a pretty serious concussion. No official update, but if you’re frustrated with the Knicks, but you tap in for every single game because you’re a real one, go ahead and subscribe to our channel. We’re trying to get to 81,500 tonight. Um, we’re here when they look good. We’re here when they look bad. We’re doing these watch parties for almost every single game. only Monday to Thursday through during football season, but after that, we’ll do every single game. Uh we do Knicks videos a couple times a week, almost every single day. Uh if you’re a real one, you want the Knicks to be with us here than whether the Knicks can go on and be a championship team, whether they continue to play like this, we’ll be here regardless. So, go ahead and subscribe. Helps us out. Uh let you know when we’re going live, let you know when the videos come out. You get them every single day. So, we appreciate you guys. Can’t do it without you. This feel like a long halftime. It does feel like a long halftime. An extremely long halftime. The longest halftime. It does feel like the longest halftime of the year. I mean, can we get OG and Obi to play some defense on Vagner? Mike, can we get someone to play some defense on with Vagner? He’s killing us. He’s got 17 three assists, three boards, seven of 13 from the field. Like look, even just force him to uh to get some threes up. He’s only one of four so far and not known as a shooter. He wants to get to the rim and um the Knicks are letting him do it so far. They’re letting him do whatever he wants, however he wants. Jones with three assists, no turnovers. Anthony Black with five. Bane and Bane has uh has hurt the Knicks as well. He’s up to 12, four of seven from the field. Bono, no update on whether or not he’s out uh for the rest of the of the game. He did. They said he had a groin injury that he picked up. So, that’ll be something to monitor in the second half. Did not come back in, I don’t think, after he left the game. So, I think they said he is out. He’s out. And shout out to our guy Vinnie Russo coming in with five. Says, “If the Knicks can’t beat a team that isn’t that great on offense, we can’t win a championship this season.” I think that’s a very good point. We’ve talked about how the Knicks, if they’re going to win a championship, it’s going to be because of their offense. And um that means the defense is going to have to or that they’re going to offense is going to have to compensate against teams and uh the defense isn’t even good enough to slow down Orlando. Not going to slow down some of the top teams in the NBA. That was a good point, Vinnie. Shout out to you, Vinnie Russo. You the man. You the man. You the man. Let’s go. Let’s go. Shout out to Vinnie. We’ll do this the rest of the night. Every $5 super chat will get you a ticket into the raffle. We’ll cut a couple of deals. Um, so going forward, we’ll have RTY Gamer and, uh, Vinnie Russo. And Vinnie Russo, we got both of y’all in. So, we’ll do $5 to start here tonight. We’ll do $5 tickets if you want to have a chance to win a signed Walt Clyde Frasier basketball. Let’s go. We’ll do in increments of five for the rest of the game. Brunson going to get a screen from Robinson. Turns the corner, throws it up, and Robinson throws it down. A set out of the half to get an easy bucket. Brunson threw it up and Robinson threw it down. An aute play there. The Knicks will move on defense now. Got to slow down Vagner. He’ll have it. Top of the key. Gonna get a screen by Carter. The Knicks double him. Force him to give it up. Suggs will drive right at Brunson. Floater up and he gets a call. Wow. Lot of whistles tonight. Um they don’t necessarily think are helping the New York Knicks all that much. Yeah, it’s been a slow, choppy game and uh hasn’t played to the Knicks favor at all so far. It’ll be a shooting foul, so Suggs will go to the line. First free throw for him is good. Excuse me. Second free throw for him is also good. Knicks down 20. Brunson will bring it up. Bridges now. They’ll give it to Robinson. Robinson top of the key and Towns is going to be fouled above the arc. Jonathan Isaac in the starting lineup now for Orlando with Bero out for the remainder of the game. They’ll post up Towns on the slimmer Isaac. Isaac pokes it away. Towns recollects, has it on the left block, drop step, layup, air ball. Got his own miss. Hook shot up. Got it to go. Isaac giving him fits, but Town’s able to finish that one. Bane into the pick and roll. Driving on Bridges. Stops. Pull up three. Missed it. Rebound by Anobi. Brunson up the right side. Suggs there to defend. Immediately into a pick and roll with Robinson. Has it at the foul line. Easy floater up and in. Count it. And the foul. Jaylen Brunson and one. All right. A little bit of fight here. Start the half for the Knicks. They cut into the lead a little bit. Still a lot of time left. I mean, how many times is Doris Burke going to talk about Jaylen Brunson selling a call? Talk about something else like she just a dead stop. What the hell is a dead stop? It’s called a jump stop. Doris Wendell Carter top of the key puts it on the deck and he’ll be fouled by Robins. You ever heard that some a dead stop? Dead stop. No, I have not heard of that as a basketball term. I It’s a dead stop. The best guards do it. The greatest. It’s not even like It doesn’t even make sense because he keeps moving. He didn’t just stop. He kept moving the whole time. So, if you think about it logically, doesn’t even make sense either. Isaac top of the key defended by Towns. Gets it to Vagner. Vagner at the foul line. Air ball. Good defense that time by Anobi. That was not a great shot there from Odog. That’s what they called it in the 1930s. A dead stop. You learn something every every day, I guess. I’m about to Google it. Brunson off a couple of screens into the lane. Dead stop. Floater up. Missed it. Rebound by Robinson. Out to Bridges. He’ll drive. Stops on a dime. Dead stop. Kicks it to Brunson. Brunson out of Towns. Towns. Dan and Obi. Jab, step, drive, dribbled it out of bounds, slipped. Turnover. OG and Obias looked like a fish out of water all night. Liked at least the ball movement from the Knicks there. They did work it around a little bit. Something they didn’t do too well in the first half. Obvious also obviously ends with a turnover from OG, but um at least they they’re moving the ball a little better to start this half. And now they’re only down 15 as that’s a turnover. Bridges coast to coast blocked by Suggs. That’s a goalend. I looked it up and a a dead stop is is not a thing. Um here’s a Facebook video. Yep. Nope. That’s not the move. So, uh I don’t think it’s a thing. Desmond Bane gets a screen, throws to Suggs. Suggs drives, blocked by Robinson, but a foul called on Mitch. He’s frustrated. Shout out to our guy SK Juice. Just said he says he just subbed in the chat. You’re a real one. If you are subscribed to the channel, go ahead and type me. And if you’re not subscribed, go ahead and do it. If you want the Knicks to win, you want them to come back. Sub for Nicks dubs, go ahead and subscribe to the channel. Dead stop on that sub button, boys and girls. It’ll be Suggs to the line for two. First free throw for Suggs. Missed it. Ball don’t lie. Give me those BDLs in the chat. BDL drizzy. BDL drizzy as Shamut looks like he’s subbing in. Robinson will find a seat. That short spurt for Robinson. Two and a half minutes to start the half. It’s a dead spot. Dead spot. That’s where the ball doesn’t bounce on the court. I’ve heard of that. I don’t know about a dead stop. I’ve heard of the jump stop. I’ve heard of playing off two. Never a dead spot. Stop. Not a thing. Second free throw. Got it. All right, you’re down 14. Come on. This is This You could do this. Brunson right wing gets a screen. Has a switch guarded by Dilva. Step back. 16-footer. No good. Rebound grabbed by Orlando. The ball movement is stopped for the Knicks. Vagner the other way. Gets a screen from Carter. They blitz him. Pass inside to Carter. He’s doubled to Suggs. Extra pass. Desmond Bane. Corner three. Good. Horrible defense by the Knicks. Bridges. He’ll drive on to Silva. Hands off to Shamut. He’ll pull up 16 straight on. Good. Landry Shamut. Love that. He’s a good movement shooter, man. Yeah, he’s really good at sliding down to that corner, catching and releasing quickly and knocking those down. Bane will handle top of the key. Bridges on him. Going to get a screen from Carter. He’ll reject it. Drives to the right into the teeth of the defense. Kicks it out. Swing. Swing to Silva for three. No good. Bridges doesn’t box out. Easy rebound for Vagner. He’ll miss. Sugies in for the board and it’s a foul on the Knicks. The Magic just want it more. How bad do you want it? Sometimes it’s a question of how bad do you want it. The Magic just want it more right now. And the Knicks have four fouls in the quarter already. They’re getting close to the magic of being in the bonus. And to to quote Walt Quad Frasier, they’re playing defense with their hands, not moving their feet. Josh Hart checking in. Lead back to 15. Bridges. Bridges will sit down. Hart guarding Bane splits the double and he’s fouled by Towns. Oh man, he is he is he is hard to root for. There’s guys in sports that are easy to root for. A guy like Jackson Dart, a guy like Jaylen Brunson, a guy like Josh Hart. Carl Anthony Towns is hard to root for, man. Yeah, he tests your patience as a fan uh on a nightly basis. Vagner up top defended by Anobi. He’ll swing to Bane. Bane uses a screen. The Knicks trap him. Force him to give it up. Vagner step back three over OG. No good. And the Knicks will grab the board. Brunson to bring it up the left side. In and out dribble trying to shake. Suggs has a crease into the lane. Drop off pass. Hart is blocked by Suggs. Wow, what a defensive play by him and he’ll get it to Bane who gets it to Carter. Wide open three. Bang. The Knicks are getting blown out at MSG. They look bigger. They look stronger. They look faster. They jump higher. They are killing the Knicks. And an Obi a corner three. Good. It’s a big answer from OG. Somebody needs to get going. If it’s him, it needs to start taking over. Bane drive into the lane. Layup. Good. Way too easy. I mean, I just want the Knicks to play with some pride. Yeah, Knicks have done a great job defending home court this year, but not doing it tonight. Brunson hands off to Shamut. Shamut. Back to Brunson. Back to Shamut. Missed the extra pass. He’ll pull up from 15. Got it. Landry Shamut trying to keep this team in it. Bane going to that same action getting Towns involved in every possession as Vagner schools OG and an Obi there. That was way too easy. A simple Euro step and OG went flying. Vagner’s playing like the best player in this game tonight. Hart using a screen kicks to Brunson. He’ll have it in the corner. Drives to the lane. Floater up and in. lead to 15. D Silva the other way. Runs over Brunson. It’s a charge. Nick’s ball going the other way. Over a thousand people watching. Make sure you have subscribed to the channel. Do these watch parties every single week. Uh we’re doing every game between Monday and Thursday throughout the football season. Occasional Friday game here or there depending on the schedule. And uh then once the season, football season’s over, every single game all the way through the playoffs, hopefully the NBA finals, uh we do videos a couple times a week, almost every single day. If you’re a Knicks fan, no reason to not subscribe. It’s the best place on YouTube for Knicks content, Nicks watch parties, and short form content as well. What up, James Stein O? Yeah, play with some pride. Chab Zoo, what up King Don? What happens to OG? Only got two points. Yeah, not a great game for OG. He’s not defending well. He’s not playing well either. I mean, their efforts higher. They look sharper. Um, they’re moving the ball. They You saw that three from Carter. The ball got swung all the way around. Two guys passed down decently open looks to get the best shot possible. Carter incottled it in rhythm, knocked it down. That’s that’s the kind of basketball the Knicks have been playing and they’re not playing tonight. And and listen, like this game is not out of out of reach by any stretch of the imagination. The Knicks could go down and finally start knocking down some shots, hit two threes, all of a sudden they’re down nine. Still a quarter and a half left, but um they got to they got to stay on the Magic. They don’t have an opportunity to trade buckets or to have a lapse. They need to just stay on it. They need to start keeping the pressure up. They can’t let up. And uh they need to start hitting some shots soon because uh they got to cut into the sleep. Second half team says Johnny is Paulo out. Yeah, Palan Carol’s out for the game. Groin injury. Co says come on Knicks into that run. Stone Grooves says mixing in a water. Need a power to finish third. Calvin says too much winning. So much winning you get bored of winning. Are the Knicks bored of winning right now? I’m not bored of winning, so they shouldn’t be bored of winning. Casey says, “I’m at Grand Slam Pizza. Love that place. And like they’re still getting killed on the boards. You look at that 31 boards for Orlando, only 23 for the Knicks. They’re giving up more offensive boards as well. Orlando’s got 10. Knicks only have eight. Uh we saw Mitch in that in that early third quarter get a couple offensive boards extend the possessions for the Knicks, but um they’re not cleaning the defensive glass. Orlando’s had the advantage there. All right. After the longest timeout ever, Justice’s dad, we are in that city. That’s where we live. That’s where the chat sports studios are. We are planning on going to the game next Wednesday as Towns Drive kicks it out. OG to drive off the three-point line. Kicks it out to Hart. Shot clock down to five. Everyone just pump fake driving. Mid-range. Jay Hart. Good. 13-point game. Come on, Knicks. You’re going to win this game with defense. You can’t afford to trade buckets. Now Vagner top of the key, defended by Anobi. Gets to Carter. Carter has it batted away by Towns, but he’ll recollect. Turn on the shot clock. Hand off to Dilva. It’s deflected. Anobi up ahead to Brunson. Bad pass. Out of bounds. Bane lets it roll out of bounds. It’ll be Nick’s ball on the baseline with 19 on the shot clock. Reckless pass by Anobi. It’s just a microcosm. What’s going on in this game? They the Knicks have just been sloppy. They haven’t been executing well enough. And uh even when they have an opportunity like they did there for a fast break, they’re lucky to get it back. Come on. Make this a 10-point game. I’m with you on that blue the part of the jersey. They should have just rolled with the the pinstripes the whole way. Brunson throws into Shammit. He’ll catch it in the corner. Gets a screen from Towns. Turns the corner. He’ll pull up again. Mid-range Jay. Got it. That’s back to backto back mid-range Jay’s for Mr. Landry Shamut. 11 points on the night. He’s been great this quarter. The best this quarter. Six points. Carter hands off to Bane. The Knicks defensive intensity is up now. The Garden crowd trying to bring him back, chanting defense, and Wendell Carter says, “No sir, I have catguarded me, so I’ll just drive right to the rim and throw it down.” Do you think he’s ever embarrassed of the way he plays defense? I think cuz it’s the worst in the NBA. I don’t think he cares one bit. Towns will try to answer. He does. And miss the dunk. Oh my god. Carl Anthony Towns misses the dunk. And then Vagner with a wideopen three. Good. Yeah, it’s over. Just as soon as you think they might be back in it, Carl Towns is right there to kill all the momentum as Suggs flops. Brunson walks right by him, kicks it to Hart for three. No good. I mean, Carl Anthony Towns brother as Vagner blocked by Anobi, saved by Brunson. And they’re going to say it bounces off of the Magic defender and then it hits Brunson. I I think Towns should should have a sore back the rest of the game and get ready for Friday. Yeah, he’s um on both ends backto back bad plays and uh that was a a four to six point swing there when he gave up the dunk, misses the dunk, and then leads to an open three. And the Knicks don’t defend to Silva off the inbound. And he missed the open look. How do you not defend someone off the inbound where he didn’t even move? It’s not focused. Not focused. Brunson trying to do it himself. Backing down Suggs. Kicks it out to Hart. Hand off. Bridges three. Brick. Vagner. Hands off to Suggs. Right back to him. The Tat in the game. He was a differencemaker in that first half. He Suggs two-man game. Suggs from 28. No good. But Shamck can’t keep Pat off the board. It’ll be a offensive rebound, then a foul on Shamut. Patate physically beating up the New York Knicks. He was a player last off season I was begging for the Knicks to sign as their backup center. Um they did not. They didn’t they didn’t have enough money for him. He’s a good player. He’s a baby Hartinstein. He can he can dish it. He’s extremely strong. He doesn’t look it. Uh but he does all of the little things you want out of his center. And they have a nice little onetwo punch at center with Carter and Patad. Uh two guys who can do a lot of those. And the other Vagner brother. Yeah. Mo Vagner as well coming back from a torn ACL. He suffered last season. I think he’s supposed to come back some point this season. Um Yeah. Magic have some good players, man. They they um and they play hard. Look at I mean, look at how they’re playing tonight. They’re beating up the Knicks physically. So, Bridges drive, step back, midi, no good. It’s It’s one pass and an ISO move. The Knicks are the Knicks have reverted back to old habits tonight. And then Vagner Euroep layup missed. Rebound by Hart. He’s knocked to the ground. are again whacked in the face. Oh, to the neck. Takes a hit to the neck there from Bataz. Hopefully Hart’s okay. Looks like he’s good. Brunson gets one free throw here. Not sure what the call was on Orlando. Nicks down 17 over three and a half over three and some change left in the quarter. Brunson to bring it up immediately into the action with Robinson. Suggs all over him. Dribbles down to the right block. Bully ball layup smoked. Wide open look for Brunson. Can’t get it to go. Suggs has done enough to make him a little uncomfortable tonight. Vagner doubled inside to Bat. He’ll turn and face and the Knicks foul him. That’s the Knicks are just fouling on defense now. They don’t slide their feet. They’re not in a good position and they just they have been hacking all third quarter along. While we go to a TV timeout, I’ll tell you about DraftKings. And uh you want to have a chance to win it. $5 super chat get you in the field to play. Let’s go. Let’s go. Suggs will sit down. see if the Knicks can make a run now with Pat at the line. I I kind of just look at it like this. You’ve shot 22 threes. You’re on pace to probably shoot the least amount of threes you have all season long. And I think that is a direct reflection of the type of offense you’re playing. Like you’re not moving the ball. Ball has not moved around. It’s been sticky. Each guy’s been looking to create his own. I mean, the magic shot have shot more threes than you. Yeah. And um not good not good for the Knicks. Brunson gets a screen from Hart. Dribble in the air out of the ball. Mid-range Jay. No good. That’s horrible offense. That’s Tom Tibido offense. Mitchell Robinson though fighting as always. Draws the draws the foul on Batad it looks like. And the Knicks will keep the ball. Brunson will throw it in from the side right to Bridges. Bridges trying to drive. Can’t can’t shake Vagner. He’ll pull him out to midcourt now. Gets a screen from Robinson. No difference. Picks his dribble up 50 ft from the basket. Gives it to Robinson. Robinson’s going to be doubled. Two on the shot clock. Bridges gets it off. Good. If it goes, it’s not good. Doesn’t matter. Horrible offensive possession out of an out- of- bounds play. Not ready to roll. Not ready to play. No attention to detail. No will to win. The Knicks are flat. Bagner posting up. Shamut. Bully ball. Elbow to the shoulder. Shamut flops. Easy layup for Orlando. They’re getting bullied out there. This is a bully job. Brunson forcing his way into the paint. Floater up. Missed it. Then begs for a call. The Knicks are playing a very soft brand of basketball today. whining, crying, complaining, and getting pushed around. D Silva trying to create. They’ll post up. Pat on Robinson. Now he’ll dribble handoff. Throws the lob to Vagner. Terrible pass off the backboard. Turnover. Josh Hart spinning in the lane. Blocked into the rim by Vat. Can’t say I’ve seen that one before. That was uh Bataz blocks. It looks like it maybe could have been a goend, but it goes anyway. Tata hands off to Vagner inside. Nice one-hand pass. Left wing three. That’s off. The Knicks get a board. Bridges to push. Doesn’t see him. Kicks Brunson. Left wing three. Not even close. This is This is This is a frustrating game. And then Brunson’s going to get an offball foul on defense. The The Knicks are crumbling mentally. The physicality of this game is getting to the Knicks. Knicks have been unable to really cut into this lead at all. They were down 20 going coming into the third quarter and now they’re down 19 with Vagner at the line for some free throws. First free throw for him is good. Knicks down by 20 again. Town checks back in for Robinson. Vagner knocks down the second. Knicks down 21. Brunson gets a screen from Shamut. Throws it into the corner. OG pump fake. Has space. He’ll fire and connect from three. A big shot from Anobi. Keep on saying, will that be the shot that propels the Knicks onto a run? Haven’t seen it yet. 24 seconds left in the quarter. 10 seconds. Shot clock. Game clock difference here. You can get a stop and get a good look. Vagner gets a screen. The Knicks double him off it. They retreat. Anthony Black wide open three. Bang. Bang. Bang. No run for you. New York. Down 21. Knicks are just scrambling on defense. Brunson drives, kicks. Hart. Open three. He got it. It’s a big time shot. 91 to 73. Anthony Black. Good if it goes. It’s not. The Knicks will go down 18 as they head to the fourth quarter. They have 73 points in three quarters and they’re on pace to give up 120 plus. While we get ready for the fourth quarter, we’ll tell you about DraftKings. I want to welcome back DraftKings, the sponsor here on New York Knicks now by Chad Sports. We love having them as a sponsor and they got an awesome deal going on for all of the real ones. Shout out to DraftKings. Unless Carl Anthony Towns the Knicks have a big fourth quarter. My parlay is doomed. But um it’s not over yet. It’s not over yet. We got a shot. Shout out to DraftKings. All right, here we go. Fourth quarter about to start. Hopefully the Knicks can make a comeback here. Who knows? But shout out to our guy Brian came in with a $5 super chat. He says, “Mike Brown, no adjustments at half. Busy smoozing with the refs.” They did make some adjustments. They tried to blitz ball screens. It didn’t work. Um well, if you think the Knicks are losing this game because of Mike Brown, um I think you’re just off base with that one. Mike Brown didn’t tell the Knicks to turn it over x amount of times in the first half. Mike Brown isn’t the one playing lazy transition defense. Mike Brown isn’t the one missing all these open threes the Knicks are taking. Uh Mike Brown isn’t telling OG and Obi to get cooked by France Vagner. Um I don’t know. Maybe maybe I’m off and you feel different. I I don’t see this as a coaching issue. Yeah, I mean this seems like effort. There’s been some turnovers. Um, it’s tough because Mike Brown’s offense is that there is no offense. So, it puts a lot of dependency on the players to make the right decisions and when they’re not, I guess maybe that’s his where he should step in and maybe scheme something up. But, his philosophy is that the players need to make the right play and read the game and they haven’t been able to find it yet so far in this game. So, I don’t really think there’s much else he could do to get them ready to go at the end of the day. It’s on the players to wake up, go out there, and make the plays. So, shout out to you, Brian. Shout out to Darren also says, “Watching the game with my friend.” Oh, he sent in another one that said his friend is gloating. Boom. Again. Boom in the chat. Boo. F Orlando. As the Knicks start on defense, they get a steal. Towns throws it up ahead. Clarkson in transition. Lays it up and in. It’s a 16-point game. Give me some LGKs in the chat. How about a fourth quarter comeback win? Let’s go. Bane top of the key. It’s Shamut Towns, Clarkson McBride, and Anobi. Bane left elbow. Jay missed it. Rebound grabbed by Anobi out to Deuce. Knicks can push if they want. McBride will play with no pace. Gets it to a screen into the lane. Lefty layup. Fouled. He’ll go to the line for two. I’d like to see the Knicks try to push it more. It’s clear the half court defense for Orlando is giving the Knicks problems. How about we hunt some easy buckets? Yeah, don’t let them get set and the Knicks obviously have some points they need to make up. So, the more possessions, the more shots they can get up, the better chance they’re going to have to make that comeback. So, we’ll see if they got the unit in there to get it done. Good job by Duce there. Clarkson, maybe he can get push the ball and and get it going as Duce knocks down his first free throw. Knicks cut the lead to 15. and McBride misses the second. You need that. Knicks down 9176 here. Start of the fourth. Been a sloppy game. A chance though to get right back in it here as Taius Jones drives, kicks, gets it to Anthony Black. He’ll drive baseline to Carter. his 10-ft jumper. Good over the lazy closeout from Carl Anthony Towns. He’s playing one of the worst games in the NBA. Towns top of the key, tries to answer into the lane. Missed it. Got his own miss. Cleans it up with a finish there. Towns up to 10 plus points now. He’s been held under wraps. He’s been exposed on defense as well as Bane drives. Layup up. No good. Great defense by Shamid. Rebound by Towns. Towns up ahead to Anobi. Fast break. Clarkson open three. Oh, in and out. That was halfway down. That would have been huge to cut it to 12. Over a thousand people watching. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel. Bane off the left wing. Drive and kick. Isaac from the corner. No good. Long rebound. Knicks can push. Sham it will up the left side to a trailing Towns from 30. Bang. Carl Anthony Towns showing up in the fourth quarter. Five points for him and the Knicks lead. Excuse me. The Nick the Magic lead is cut to 12. I wish it was a Knicks lead. Andrew Connell, if uh Cat threw in a couple more of those, they might be leading. Jump the gun a little bit on that one. Hopefully we’ll be saying that later on the game. But if you’re fired up that the Knicks can make this comeback, let’s go. Let’s get those LGKs in the chat. Down 12. This is not out of the realm of possibility. They make this comeback. They start getting hot from beyond the arc. They’re due. They’re due to make some threes based on the way they’ve been shooting so far. Let’s go. Let’s go. My man AJ Frank Serrano in the building. Frankie Smokes, man. What up? Love seeing you in the chat, man. Hilford Johnson, Luis OG, Adams, David, Dean, Mark, Donald, JRock, Stone Grooves in the building. Shout out to y’all. Bora, Bora, Bora, Margaret says, “This is what I am talking about.” Hell yeah. Margaret Frank Serrano says, “What up, Marshall?” [ __ ] master Kyle Mike Nusbomb, Mr. Friaking Plenty, you to go. You to go. You to go. Go. Go. Jay Davis, wise guy, Nick Curtain. Let’s go. Can they do it? Can they? I don’t know. It in very important news. We haven’t discussed it yet today. He I don’t know if he’s been in the chat. I moved up to four on Mike Nintendo’s producer. Oh, yeah. Did you? Yeah. Look at you, man. Don’t forget about us when you make it big. I’m almost there. Don’t forget about the little old people in Knicks. Now, I’m worried. I’m worried about being forgotten. We saw our guy Jeremy Chugs, he reposted an article where someone, I think, did an interview with him or someone reposted him or something and I let him know on Twitter. I said, “Please don’t forget about me when you’re famous.” Wow. I didn’t see that. Shout out to Jeremy Chugs. I didn’t I didn’t even see it. Those are one way to win. We’re going to have an identity. be smart, tough, physical. Smart, tough, physical. Sounds familiar. That’s uh that’s was that Mike Cafka? No, that is uh I I’m blanking on his name. Uh Kubak. Oh, rebranding. We’re not smart, tough, and dependable. We’re smart, tough, and physical. Oh god. He’s my coach. That’s my coach. if he comes out to the press conference, he gets hired and that’s what he says. He I don’t know. We’ll see. Smart, tough, and physical. I hear part of me hears what Sheff said that like it’s going to be someone we haven’t heard of yet, and then part of me just thinks it’s going to be Luanoro. I don’t know. Still a lot of season left. So Donald says, “Talking bad about cat all game when he gets a double double. Look man, if you think Cats have a good game, we just disagree on what’s important and what defines a good game.” Um I I don’t think he he’s impacted winning in this game at all. Yeah, just hit a big three, so that was big. But uh he needs to lock up. And look, he’s playing aggressive defense on Carter as they come out of the timeout. Carter hands off to Black. Black foul line floater. Good. 9581. Towns for three. Missed it. Long rebound by Clarkson. He’ll have it on the left wing. He’ll take a step back. Three. Good. Jordan Clarkson. That was uh one of those where you’re like, “No, no, no.” Yes. Cuz uh not a great shot. But And the Knicks don’t get back on defense. And Anthony Black with a floater at the rim over Towns. You can’t afford to trade buckets. Gotta get stops as McBride turns it over. McBride turns it over as Bane drives, drops it off to Isaac and Towns fouls him. Hey, he has a double double though. Stuff in the stat sheet. Not good. Not great. Not great at all. The worst. The worstest. First free throw up. No good. Ball don’t lie. Get those BDLs in the chat. What did Abdul Carter say about practices? I don’t Did he say something about practice? Did he miss something? Maybe. Maybe it’s a first new practice. Maybe something different as uh Isaac knocks down the second. Nick’s down 14 and McBride turns it over again. He’s had a bad game. Two critical fourth quarter turnovers for Duce McBride. He’s got three on tonight and he is he he’s playing he’s playing with a blindfold on on offense. Anthony Black top of the key gets into a pick and roll. Drive and kick. Jones will have it. Swinging to Bane. Five on the shot clock. Bane step back over Shamut for three. No good. Rebound by McBride. Come on deuce. I’ll have it on the right wing. I’m going to get a screen from Towns. Drops it to him. Towns into the lane. Layup up. Fouled will go to the line for two. I’m going to run to the restroom real quick. You want to hop on? Got you. Yeah. Shout out to everybody in the building. have my guy Andrew Connell hold it down as I’ll be right back. What’s going on Nick Knicks now? Real ones hopefully. Hey, if the Knicks start to make a comeback, I may tell you to may tell you to stay over there, but um they’re down 14. T is at the line and he knocks down the first one. Down 13. Looks like Jaylen Brunson is back in the game. Nick’s trying to make a run with JB. What’s going up JRock? What’s going on Tigerclaw? Both real ones. Appreciate the support. Towns will get ready to take his second free throw. Nicks are going to need a bunch of guys to get clicking in order for this comeback to go get going. Hopefully Brunson can hit some shots as Towns knocks down the second one. It’s a 12-point game. Brunson back on the court. Black has the ball around half court. Gives it to Suggs. He drives and throws up a wild shot that goes out. Towns has the rebound and pushes it to Brunson. Gives it to Clarkson. Clarkson pulls from three. Gets blocked. Isaac has the ball. Gives it up to Bane who’s pushing. Bane blows by but misses the layup and Towns another rebound. Brunson has it. Knicks look to push in transition. Brunson spins. Fakes the three. Floats it. No. Drives it off to Towns and they turn it over. Knicks turn the ball over. Orlando throws it up and Suggs blows a layup but gets it back and it goes in. Orlando now opens up a 14-point lead. Brunson has the ball at the top of the key. Swings to Clarkson. gives it back. It’ll be a high screener roll with Towns and Brunson. Brunson looking passes to McBride in the corner. Good from three and the Knicks are now cut it to 11. This has been a frantic pace the last couple minutes. It’s an 11-point lead for Orlando as Suggs has it. He brings it up. Carter has it at the top. B elbows Towns and they call a foul on Towns. Looked like Carter came in with an elbow there. It’s a tough call. I’ll give him I’ll give Towns. That’s a tough call. He’s got his hand on Carter’s back. He swipes at the ball, misses, then he’s playing defense with his hands. That’s what they call even though Carter does get him with an elbow there on the rip through. And he’s got four fouls. Carter has at the top of the key, hands it to Suggs. I mean, that’s Black, excuse me. Black pulls up, misses the elbow jumper, but Carter grabs the rebound and draws another foul. If this is on Towns, it’s his fifth. Robinson comes in and Towns will take a seat with six and a half left. The Knicks down 11. JRocky’s one foul away from fouling out. That’s why he’s sitting down now. But Taz has the ball. He hands to Vagner. Vagner has it at the top of the key guard to Banobi. Dances, spins in the lane, throws it up, and he’s fouled. He’ll go to the line. Just ISO ball. Their best player takes it at the top of the key. He drives. OG unable to stop him and they call the foul. It’s not the worst defense from Anobi. Can’t really argue it wasn’t a foul either. Vagno go to the line, lifts up the mass to shoot the free throws, and he misses. Let’s get those BDLs in the chat. Ball. Don’t lie. You missed a frantic pace, though. A little back and forth, some uh some turnovers, some miss shots, some sold layups. So, it should be closer is what you’re saying. On both sides. Oh, he missed the second. Ball don’t lie. Get those BDLs in the chat. Let’s go. Come on. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. Brunson top of the key to the foul line. Step through. Shot up. Good. Nine-point game. Is it a fake comeback or not for? Seriously, the Knicks are the greatest at the fake comeback. Vagner top of the key. Kicks it to Suggs. Deep three. Good. 28 foot three from Suggs the Tener. My man, I love you guys. Keep the sarcasm going. True entertainment. Let’s go. Knicks Bridges for three. Am I the problem? Maybe. Maybe. I am the biggest problem for the Knicks. The biggest AB at the top of the key. jump stop and throws inside to Vagner and it’ll be a foul on Brunson. A dead stop. Fifth foul on Brunson. Towns has five as well. You missed him pick up a couple fouls. Oh, I’m so Let me guess. They were stupid. Yeah, he uh Well, one he he was he was swiping at the ball, then got an elbow and a rip through. So, he took the he took the pain and got called for the foul and another was on a rebound. They subbed him out for Robinson. Orlando and the bonus as well. free throws the rest of the way. It was down to nine and it’s not anymore. Brunson stays in you. You had cut it to nine and just like that it’s back to 14. 5 run for Orlando. Brunson Anobi Robinson McBride and Shaman on the floor. Brunson to the elbow. Pull up from 10. Got it. 26 on the night for the captain. Cuts it to 12 with five minutes to go. Plenty of time, but you got to get stops. Anthony Black top of the key, drives into the lay on Brunson. Easy layup as he can’t defend without fouling. Knicks are getting exposed right now. Brunson off the Robinson screen. I mean, it looks like they’re playing playoff basketball last year under Tom Tibido. Brunson spinning in the lane. Floater up. Got it to go. He’s putting on a one-man show on the offensive end. 107 to 95. Bane top of the key, kicks to Black for three. Got it. Anthony Black lighting up the New York Knicks. Timeout, Mike Brown. Knicks are getting run out of the building. Down 15. Not great, boys. They’ve got a lot of length. They’ve got a lot of athleticism. Some that the Knicks don’t really have right now. Yeah. And Brunson’s kind of putting on a typical fourth quarter performance trying to get trying to bring the will the Knicks back himself. But Knicks, like you like we said earlier, they can’t afford to trade buckets here in the fourth quarter. They got to try and make up a double-digit lead. They got it into single digits and then they let it right back up. They can’t afford to trade buckets. They need to start pretty much holding Orlando almost scoreless the rest of the game and they need to start hitting some threes if they want to try and get back in this We got our guy EY saying, “Hey, I hate how they always do this fake comeback.” Um, yeah, you would have liked to think a run was coming from the Knicks. You would have liked to think it was coming a little earlier. They wait and it’s looking like it’s going to be too little, too late, and not even enough to go and get the W. Did you uh did you get anything on that Abdul Carter? No. No. All right, we got,00 people in the building. If you’re new here and you’re not subscribed, go ahead and hit set that subscribe button. We do these watch parties for almost every single game. We do daily Nick’s videos, short form content as well. Um, if you’re a Knicks fan, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be subscribed. It’s the place to be for Knicks games and Knicks watch parties hopefully all the way through the playoffs. Although they’re not going to make the playoffs, they keep playing like this. And if you are subscribed, go ahead and type me. We can give some shout outs to the real ones. Shout out to Archie, Random World, Dudes Rock, Dean, OG, Seth, Gross, the Grossest, BCON. Are you BCON? I am not BCON. Callum Hughes, JJ Watt in the chat. Shout out to you, JJ. What’s up, JJ? And the Knicks are letting Anthony Black beat them here in the fourth quarter. He’s got nine points. All right, here we go. Do the Knicks have a run in them? They’re going to have to inbound the ball and Shamon will get it to Anobi who rifles it back to Brunson. He’ll bring it up the right side. You’re down 15 over four to go. You got time, but you got to make time count. It’ll start with stops. Towns and Brunson. Old two-man game. Brunson has a crease into the lane. Easy Ram for Jaylen Brunson. The easiest of the night. Suggs flopping in the back court then looking at the ref. He’s been doing that all game long. I don’t love watching that when I watch him play. Drives into the lane, kicks it wide open. Vagner for three. Missed it. Knicks are going to play with fire. They allow wide open players to shoot. Burnt them tonight. Towns left wing. Puts it on the deck. Driving. Stopped. Floater up. Air ball and then out of bounds. I mean, what the hell is Carl Anthony Towns doing? These are the type of games that just make me believe you’ll never win a championship with him and the Knicks would be better off with with with addition by subtraction. It’s reaching the Julius Randall level for me. It is I can’t stand watching him play. I don’t think he’s a winning player. I think he’s mentally soft and he is he he is maddening. Yeah, I agree with a lot of that. I thought that when they made the trade. I understand why they did. as Brunson draws a foul, takes a shot to the head, Nick will have the ball back. But yeah, he’s um it’s just like he’s got all the talent in the world and he just has no awareness or IQ when he’s out there. It’s year 11, AJ Mcmecca, it’s not game 11, it’s year 11. It’s year 11. Brunson end of the lane. Floater up. No good. The Knicks are now just playing hero ball. Under three to go. Bane driving at Brunson. Knifing through. They’ll call a foul. And it’s number six on Brunson. They changed it to Anobi. Yeah. Yeah, it ain’t just game 11. It’s year 11 for towns. It’s year 11 for towns. Callum Hughes comes in from the UK. You know, he’s in the UK. He says the refs have been dodgy today. Not exactly sure what dodgy is supposed to mean, but uh if it means not good, then uh you’re on the right track. Towns back door to McBride. He’ll lay it up and in. Thought he was going to miss that. Yeah. Down 13. 240 to go. Suggs jab step blows by McBride. Drives it. Towns hands it off to Carter. Carter now to Bane. Brunson and Cap being put into the action. Bane step back push off Brunson. An offensive foul. Jaylen Brunson saying and chanting yes. He’s not thrilled with the way he’s been officiated tonight. McBride brings it up. Gets it to Towns. Towns back to McBride. He’ll set him a screen trying to run a two-man game. They’ll drive on Carter. Throws a floater up. No good. That was a horrendous shot. He just runs into the lane and throws it up and flops. Nobody on the Knicks gets back. Bane for dagger. Good. And the Knicks will lose as the Knicks allow a transition three. And they’re down 16 with under two to go. That that that as Brunson is whacked and he falls to the ground. He’s grabbing his knee. It looks all right. I mean, that last possession is this game put into two possessions. McBride drives into the lane, flops, throws up a horrible shot. Knicks don’t get back on defense, and they allow a wide open three as Brunson rolls his right ankle. Yeah. And uh on that play as well, not only does McBride throw up the horrible shot, but him and Towns run into each other trying to get the rebound. So, just total dysfunction for the Knicks. Nobody back on defense. Magic capitalized with a wide open three and Bronson misses the free throw. All right, that’ll do it. Knicks lose. Damn. First loss at home this year. You didn’t You didn’t earn the win. They will empty the bench as well and wave the white flag. The Knicks are seven and four on the year as they continue to kind of fuel this narrative that I don’t want to believe into that they don’t beat anyone good. Yeah, they’re not helping themselves. Orlando is a whether or not they were true contender, they are a playoff level team and they got dominated tonight, the Knicks. It’s easy to beat Chicago. It’s easy to beat Washington. It’s easy to beat Brooklyn. It’s easy to beat Memphis. You beat Minnesota, but Ant was also coming back for his first game after missing a handful. Beat Cleveland earlier in the year, but they were missing guys. Boston obviously not Tatum. You lost to Miami, you lost to Milwaukee. Brunson gets the second and then he’ll foul to foul out of the game and he’ll walk straight to the locker room as he has a serious limp. Insult to injury, you lose and Brunson’s hurt. What a terrible game. Yeah, not great. It’s an uninspiring brand of basketball that was played today. I don’t Yeah, I don’t know. And I don’t want to hear people are going to make excuses. It’s early in the season and and yeah, like like I don’t know. Does this change the Knicks long-term outlook? Probably not. But I mean, Brunson injured, but like we can’t do anything but react to what we just watched. And that was terrible basketball by the Knicks. Yeah. I mean, it looked similar to last night where the Knicks felt like they were at a different level than the Grizzlies. It feels like if the Magic played at a different level than the Knicks tonight. Yeah. The Knicks couldn’t hit any open shots. They didn’t play a cohesive brand of basketball. Was a lot of one-on-one ISO ball. I’m going to try and get mine, get going, get my shot. Um, not a lot of ball movement because of that. Continued poor perimeter defense and Magic aren’t even a good shooting team. They’re not even a great offensive team and they’re they are at 117 looking to score over 120 tonight. Um, I don’t think the Knicks bench really gave them a lift. Josh Hart had a mixed bag of a game. Deuce has had some sloppy turnovers. Jordan Clarkson hit one big shot but otherwise didn’t do anything. Yaveellle again not really much. Hit one three. Um Shamut did did show some life as he came off the bench after starting yesterday. He he had some good moments but and like Brunson like I love Jaylen Brunson and he had he had 31 but it was not a the tone was kind of set from the jump where it was just Brunson hutting his shot early. Well, it wasn’t a smooth 31. You see 10 of 23 from the fields like and they weren’t like we talked about what they’ve been doing so well as Brunson’s been getting the ball uh on on the catch and shoot. He hasn’t had to get his own shot every single time. He hasn’t had to fight for every basket. And he had to do that tonight. And then you’ve watched Jaylen Brunson in seasons past. It feels like every basket, every point he earns because it’s so difficult for him to get every single point. That’s kind of different than what we had seen this season and um it was different than what we got tonight. He He had to earn every all 31 of those points. It they weren’t easy as Orlando brings it up. They f a three and miss. Offensive rebound up and in. Oh lordy. We’ll do one word reaction to the loss. We’ll come out. We’ll talk about Brunson and the injury and we’ll roll. Yeah, Brian, I’m not happy either, my man. Not a great game. In fact, it was a horrible game, a horrible effort, and now you’re star player and your franchise is hurt. How serious will it be? I don’t anticipate it being too serious. He was able to walk off under his own power. Brunson’s been a guy that’s been able to play through injuries, but it’s just salt in the wound after today. Maybe he misses Friday. I don’t know. Need to be in either. I mean, he he’s a warrior. He plays through injuries pretty much all season long. He just trying to eliminate when he picks up those first bumps and bruises. And he picks up his first one of the season tonight. Kick lays it up and in. Magic score. And uh that should do it. Brutal. Nicks lose 124 107. Brutal game. That was that was disgusting from the Knicks tonight. dominated 124 107 run out of the building. You suffer your first loss at home and you go up against a team in the East that you probably could be playing the playoffs. Long way to go. I get it. I understand they whack you in the face and you didn’t get off the mat. They punched you in the mouth early on and you couldn’t ever respond. Yeah. And then we’ll go on to team stats. All right, let’s do it. The New York Knicks were embarrassed on national TV as they got punched in the mouth, dominated and bullied by the Orlando Magic as they suffered their first loss at the Garden 124107. And to put salt into the wound, Jaylen Brunson leaves with an ankle injury. Not good. Before I share my thoughts, as I’m pretty upset about this loss and the way that a lot of people for the Knicks played, specifically Carl Anthony Towns, I want to hear from you. What is your oneword reaction to the loss? This is New York Knicks now by chat sports. I am your host, Marshall Green. And let’s start with the injury. Jaylen Brunson leaves in the final minutes of the fourth quarter after being fouled where it appeared to look like he rolled his ankle. He was able to walk off the floor under his own power, but a significant limp was following him. Hopefully, he is not all that hurt. Hopefully, it is not something that is going to linger throughout this year as Jaylen Brunson has been somebody that has consistently battled ankle and hand injuries. He’s been able to play through the pain, but if he has to sit out a couple of games to get back right, I think the New York Knicks should do it. All right, let’s go to this game. Why did the New York Knicks lose? Because the Orlando Magic, as corny as it sounds, they just wanted it more. They beat you up on the glass. They played you in a very physical manner. And they were up by 20 at the half. And it the game never really got put into jeopardy. The Knicks cut it to nine, but it was one of the fake comebacks that the Knicks are the greatest at. Orlando had 49 rebounds. The Knicks had 37. You also had just 20 assists compared to the 29 for Orlando. It says you have one less turnover than them. The Knicks, I believe, had eight turnovers in the first quarter and up to like 10 in the first half. And that is ultimately where the game was lost. You shot the ball horribly from three and you didn’t defend the three-point line either. Something that is becoming a major problem for the New York Knicks. It honestly felt like Tom Tibido was back on the sideline tonight and the way the Knicks went about trying to put points on the board. A lot of iso ball, a lot of I’m going to do it myself. A lot of I’m just going to go and get my shot. No ball movement. I think that is directly reflected in the amount of three-pointers that the New York Knicks got up. The Knicks have been a team this year that have been in the top five of three-pointers attempted. The Knicks this year are averaging I want to get the exact number for all of y’all. The Knicks are averaging 44 threes per game. You get up 36 tonight. And that to me says you didn’t move the ball and that’s reflected in the assist numbers as well. The Knicks before tonight were averaging 28 assists per game. I thought it started at the beginning. Brunson got it into this game and he kind of and look, I’m not blaming this game on Jaylen Brunson, but it set the tone. He went to the rim. He was hunting his own shot. He was trying to get Jaylen Suggs in foul trouble and I thought that just bled on to the entire team. Yeah, Brunson had 31, but it was a dirty 31 and um inefficient from two and from three and he was getting exposed on defense as was Carl Anthony Towns. I thought Towns played one of the worst games of his New York Knick career. It was a lot of losing plays from him out there. He let the physicality of this game affect the way that he played on offense and defense. Um he was horrible. And tonight is the type of night where you ask yourself, can you win a championship with Carl Anthony Towns on your team? I get it. It’s November. That’s a major overreaction, but I know everybody is thinking it, so I’ll just go out and say it. Carl Anthony Towns was horrible tonight. He should be embarrassed with his performance. He was soft. He was inefficient. And he made losing play after losing play. Nobody was good enough. Oenobi was awful as well. France Vagner cooked OG and Obi. Your wings that are supposed to be the best in the league were dominated. France Vagner took you to school and they didn’t even need Palo Vancero. He left the game in the first half injured, scoring four points. Vagner got everything he wanted. It didn’t matter if they put Bridges on him. It didn’t matter if they put OG and an OB on him. The Knicks had no answer for him. I thought Bridges was bad. I thought OG was missing an action. Um, it was a no-show from the duo at Wingtop. A little bit disappointing on that front. I thought Josh Hart came in and fueled the fire of not being ready to play. He had three turnovers in the first quarter. His energy, I thought, was zapped. And I don’t want to blame it on the Knicks at a backtoback. I think that’s lowhanging fruit and that’s easy to do. They weren’t ready to play. They didn’t look like they wanted to play basketball and they were run out of the gym in an embarrassing fashion. Hopefully, they could pick it up as they do play the Miami Heat on Friday. A lot more to discuss about this game, but first I got to tell you about our proud sponsor, DraftKings. I want to welcome back DraftKings, the sponsor here on New York Knicks now by Chad Sports. Mitchell Robinson was back in the lineup tonight after missing the front half of the backto back on Tuesday. Not much of an impact from him. Two re two points, eight rebounds. He was a minus 11 on the night. So, not much work there. I thought Miles McBride played a horrible game off the bench. There was a point where he was one of five from the field and or was one of six from the field and one of five, one of four from three. Um the ball pressure from Orlando I thought kind of exposed that Miles McBride is not ready to be a full-time point guard. That’s essentially how the Knicks are using him off the bench. I’ve never believed he has the ball handling ability and his handle is just too loose to to handle a ball handle the rock as consistently as he did tonight. Uh I thought he was forcing the action. I thought he was flopping. Ah, the Knicks defense as a whole was a joke and they were consistently whining to the refs. The the whistle benefits the team that’s going to bring the phys physicality. The Magic brought the physicality and they got the whistle. The Knicks, they looked soft, they looked weak, and they got pushed around a lot. I don’t want to overreact to a game in November, but this should be a wakeup call for this team that if you don’t show up, you can get blasted in this league. Orlando entered what, five and six. They’re now six and six. This is a team that a lot of people thought we’ll be at the top of the Eastern Conference. It could give the Knicks fits uh that length on defense, the ball movement. Um they dominated you like they beat your ass. That That’s all I really have to say about the outcome of this game. Desmond Bane has not been good this year. He settled in nicely tonight. 22 points. Anthony Black, I thought, was amazing for Orlando when the Knicks started to thread it. When the Knicks started to threaten in that fourth quarter, he had big shot after big shot. Wendell Carter took it to Carl Anthony Towns on both ends of the floor. Um, go Bat player that I wish was on the Knicks in the summer of 2024. He was awesome. And Jaylen Sucks. He set the tone defensively. He made it hard for Brunson. A dirty 31 physical. Bumped him around and uh the Knicks got punched in the face early on in this ball game. It was 12-6 at one point. And the Magic, they never really looked back. So, you lose your first game at home, but you’re right back to it on Friday. Hopefully, Carl Anthony Towns can play some winning basketball and maybe we can get an update on Brunson. Hopefully he doesn’t miss too much time. Major shout out to y’all. If you haven’t yet, give me a follow on social media. You can find me on Twitter and Instagram, Marshall Green_. Before we bounce on out of here, AC, anything else you want to add about the performance for our New York Knicks today? You uh you covered a lot of it. It’s hard to um say much more. It’s just not good enough. Not what you expect. And um when you listen, the Knicks weren’t going to go finish the season 41 and0 at home. They weren’t. They’ve won five straight games. Even the best teams will even the best teams will lose from time to time. But it was discouraging to see the way they lost. The fact that they just got beaten down physically by Orlando, it gives it worries me a little bit. Should they match up in a series with Orlando? Um, listen, does this change? Yesterday, we were saying the Knicks were a championship contender and they look like they’re the best team in the NBA. Is that going to change all from just one game? Probably not. But it’s hard to not watch what we just watched and feel the way we do about the way they performed. So, listen, uh, they got another game on Friday, a chance against a good team Miami to show that this was a fluke and show that they really are the team that has looked great and won five straight games. But, um, that’s the that’s up to them. That’s the test that they have in front of them is to play strong against Miami. Could be without Brunson. U, we’ll see. But, yeah, that’s really all I got. Agreed. All righty, we’re going to sign off on today’s show. We will see you guys later.

  1. Some of you so called Knicks fans are ridiculous; trade this player or that player because they had an off game. Go root for another NBA club. Remember the Knicks are learning a new system. Normally it takes 25 to 30 games to master!
