The streak had to end at some point. This was a great off-ramp game. I still feel good about their performance.
We aren’t fully healthy and we are still a developing team. With a lot of new coaching staff and young players, I think we have a lot of head room to get even better this season.
It’s okay to lose to the best team in the league. I think most people would agree that we aren’t the best team in the league. Now the next few games will be very telling of what type of team we are. The thing you always want to avoid is losing after a loss. You don’t want to get on a losing streak. Getting back in the win column and even going W-L-W-L is what you want before going on another tear.
Still first in the pacific. If we can hold on to that for the majority of the season I’ll be happy.
With our coaching staff I’m just hopeful that a game like this is a building block. Things to learn and things to work on doing better in practice so it can translate back to the ice.
