So, in this MLB news and rumors video, I am going to be talking about Paul Skins and the New York Yankees this 202526 MLB offseason. Well, here in the screen is a tweet on X from Randy Miller which says Paul Skins telling teammates he wants to play for the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates. Quote, “Understanded.” So, this news dropped today and it caused a lot of stir on social media regarding first of whether or not this is true. If it is true, why is this coming out now and is it gonna happen? So, a lot of questions coming out regarding this. Now, my personal take on the matter is that this is the definition of a rumor. Like, I highly doubt for one Paul Ske is telling people he wants to play for the Yankees this early on into his MLB career. Now, I know teams I guess teams like the Pirates can make rookie pitchers unhappy or just, you know, star players unhappy because of how little this team spends, how disastrous they are. in the regular season. And Paul Skins is arguably the best pitcher in baseball. Like, this guy’s a superstar. But is he really telling teammates he wants to play for the Yankees? In my opinion, maybe, but probably not. And also too, even if he did, why is this coming out now? So, I have a lot of question marks now. Could this make some sense later on? Absolutely, it’s going to make sense for 2026. I don’t think so. Pauline still has four years remaining under team control and he’s going to be a pirate for I think at least a couple more years. Now, could this be a case, let’s just say in 2028? Yeah, it very well could. Maybe he doesn’t want to sign with the Pirates long term. He’s threatening to leave them. Yankees going to give this guy, you know, the biggest contract potentially in history. Like, that’s all very possible. And Paul Scaines would be a tremendous Yankee and a lot of people expect him to go to the Yankees at some point just because it just kind of makes a lot of sense. Yankees are, you know, one of the premier teams in baseball. They have deep pockets. He could be a star in a big city. It just makes a lot of sense. But is this going to happen now? I don’t think so. Paul SK this past year um for the Pirates put up a 7.7 war, 10 wins, 10 losses, an RA of 1.97, 32 games played, 187 innings pitched, 216 strikeouts, and a whip of of 0.948. So Paul SK arguably the best pitcher in baseball. Is he really telling Yankees are players that he wants to go to the Yankees? I don’t know. Seems like a rumor to me, but you know, leave your thoughts down below. Is this going to happen? Does he want to get go to the Yankees? Is he going to demand a trade? Lots of speculation here.
