  1. Denny’s WAR by season is unreal.

    In his five seasons before 1968, he had -0.1, 0.2, 4.6, 2.1, and -0.2.

    Then, he had 7.2 and 8.1.

    He played three more years after 1969. 0.6, -0.4, and -1.8.

    And he was out of baseball by age 28.

  2. Please God don’t let us screw up the Skubs situation and make us watch him win a championship with someone else…PLEASE!

  3. Just throwing it out there as the Cy Young didn’t exist until 1956 but Hal Newhouser won back-to-back MVP’s in 1944 and 1945.
