  1. Fuck no dude we are finally getting rid of the albatross that is vooch’s contract we don’t need another center that can’t play modern ball

  2. Chicago makes the most sense. They have a good amount of draft capital and young players that could appeal to what we are trying to do here for the next few years

  3. As a lifelong Bulls fan …. NO GOD NO PLEASE NO NOOOOOOOOO

  4. so we treat Anthony Davis better whose been here for 9 months and only played in 13 games by sending him where he wants to go than our superstar for 7 years who carried us to the finals.

  5. Coby White
    Patrick Williams
    Zach Collins expiring
    Two FRPs

    For

AD and Caleb Martin’s albatross ass

  6. Don’t let him go for anything less than a ransom, whether it be picks, young talent or preferrably both. Can’t be compounding the worst trade in NBA history by trading AD for expirings. Cap space has never, EVER done jack shit for this franchise.

  7. Why would the bulls want him? His body might not even make for one good playoff run anymore.

  8. I’m not doing a deal with Chicago if I’m not getting that 2026 Portland draft pick as well as another future 1st

  9. I do kind of wish Boston made sense just because it’d piss off Lakers fans.

All that said, this needs to be a highest bidder thing and frankly shouldn’t be done until this off-season/next year’s trade deadline.

We should slow roll/load manage AD as he works himself back into game shape– potentially like Philly does for Embiid and build his value while soft-tanking this year; then, next year we should see what AD-Kyrie-Flagg-Lottery Pick- and whichever guard or center works best with those 4 works best has before trading Kai or AD.

I don’t think it will be enough to contend but it’s worth trying out unless there’s some godfather offer on the table for AD. Selling low on him just compounds the original mistake of acquiring him in the first place- late first round picks or unprotected FRPs in the 2030s won’t make us competitive enough to retain Cooper when he comes up

  10. With the assumption that Chicago is the “best” (only? lol) trading partner…

A combination of at least 3 players from Vucevic, White, Huerter, Williams, Dosunmu, and Collins would work for matching AD’s cap hit.

    So the questions will be:

    * Can the Mavs get more than 2 first round picks?

    * Who to keep and let go amongst Williams, White, and Dosunmu? One of them? None of them?

    * Would a second player come with AD?

    * Is there a 3rd team that can join?

    * Can a trade for Klay/D’Lo involve that 3rd team?
