The offense with Giannis is the best in the league without Giannis it’s bottom 3

  1. I mean what else would you expect. He’s a top 3 offensive force in the league and the offense was specifically constructed to maximize him and for him to maximize the others. It’s a team of role players being forced to play above their role when he’s not there, of course it isn’t pretty.

  2. That’s not that bad.

Most of the time without Giannis is the bench unit. They’ll naturally have a bad offensive rating compared to teams averages. If they were 3rd worst compared to other teams with their star OFF – that would be concerning.

  3. Bro tagged this serious 💀

this is what on off looks like for really good offensive players/offensive engines. What it is more telling of I think is the ability of the rest of the team to keep afloat during non-Giannis minutes/games, which no surprise, is fucking hard. Even more so now that we don’t have a true second star.

  4. This is partially due to KPJ being out and Bobby’s slow start. Add in the Prince injury and our depth which looked alright at the start of the season (especially with the emergence of Lightskin Blade) is now very depleted.

Kuzma probably helps this substantially with how well he’s been doing off the bench

  5. This is to be expected considering the roster and no KPJ I will say though Ryan has to be more aggressive and Doc has to stop sometimes with the everybody eats approach. He’s clearly the 2nd best offensive player on the roster.

Multiple 20 point games this season he shouldn’t be taking only 15 shots last night even when Giannis plays he should probably shoot more.

  6. I’m really hoping KPJ can serve as a secondary offensive engine when he comes back. That said, I’m less worried about the offensive on/off than I am about the defense. We can have an offense that relies heavily on one player if our defense is good, but it hasn’t been good so far.

  7. Fans: “Wow Giannis is gonna have to carry us this year and be an MVP”

    Fans when that happens:

  8. Yeah crazy what happens when you take arguably the best player on the planet out of the lineup, on a team virtually constructed entirely to play around them 🙄

  9. Nugget’s Fans used Jokic’s ON/OFF numbers to push Jokic’s MVP narrative for years. Looks like it’s our turn to do the same.

  10. DOC IS OUR COACH – things aren’t going to get better with this fact. He’s a great networker, so he always has a job. He knows ball, but he can’t coach it very well. His Celtics won in spite of his efforts to blow every series during that chip run.

Giannis has won his entire career in spite of his coaches. Kidd taught him PG in a lost season and the rest it has been motivation.

  11. And this is why I enjoy watching games where Giannis sits out. What are the coaches scheming offensively when he’s off the floor really. They all seem lost, minus Ryan, KPJ, Kuzma and even Cole driving to the basket. Team badly needs some type of identity outside of the obvious. Team could honestly use someone like Westbrook, where you solve two problems of passing and rebounding.

  12. He’s a top 3 player in the nba and the focal point of their entire offense… what were you expecting?

Rollins is showing signs of being a genuine creator and shot maker with the ball, but he’s new to it and outside of him and KPJ (injured) the bucks don’t have creators which hurts a lot when Giannis doesn’t play.

  13. The roster is built around Gianiss and we have no KPJ who was arguably our 2nd best player going into the season before he got hurt
