  1. If he cuts out the dumb turnovers he’d be an A-tier player. He made some clutch shots last night, and his defense has been great. He’s a very solid piece

  2. One thing I’ve observed from watching QDot is that he is great at defending without fouling, if he bites on pump fakes he always jumps in such a way that the opponent can’t lean in to draw the foul, and then when the opponent puts up the shot he contests it really well to force out a miss

Also KAT and Lavine being 2nd and 4th on this list is hilarious considering their reputations

  3. Hes definitely got an explosive mentality he just needs to execute a bit better and hes unstoppable

  4. He needs to be a catch and shoot guy and stop trying to create. Turns the ball over way too much.

But his shot is such a quick trigger he only needs to be open for a second to fire it up and he’s been shooting well.

Hopefully the rotations getting established and getting McCain and Podcast P back fully will help.

  5. Grimes has “good player, bad team” kinda vibes.

Meaning if there aren’t better players on the floor, this guy can fill the stat sheet

I still don’t see his role clearly when Maxey, VJ, PG, Embiid are all on the floor, especially with McCain coming off the bench and having ball handling responsibilities there too.

We can’t trade him, so I guess we’ll figure this out, but I don’t see the long term fit

  6. Maxey, VJ, Grimes has the potential to be a rock solid backcourt defensively, when they’re all locked in. When they’ve been engaged, they have looked a lot better than I expected on that end.

Hopefully we find the right front court pairing to bring it all together. Embiids steadily improved on D since the start of the year, and Barlow definitely showed some flashes on that end (before he died).

  7. Just need to stop letting him playmake/drive and hes a solid 3 and d player. His turnovers and just boneheaded plays he makes sometimes are very frustrating, but we are sorta overexposing him

  8. I think he realizes this is the best opportunity he’s going to have right now with PG out,McCain hurt/recovering. Feels he’s forcing it sometimes and I think him looking off Jared is no coincidence. He’s not really a primary creator, but hope his efficiency improves as he settles into his role.

Unfortunately we need him handling/driving right now Nevada because we don’t have much creativity outside of maxey
