  1. Wait until they announce their new streamer, Peacock, where you can watch the Premier League in America.

  2. NBC Sports Network that already existed? When does NBC Sports Gold come out for exclusive games that I’ll be blacked out of?

  3. I’m actually happy to see NBC sports be back on Cable. Its sports lineup appeals to my taste, and it’s not behind Peacock. Putting sports on a streaming service, even as “Big” as ESPN+ is a death sentence.

  4. This channel will mostly be a way to watch Peacock games on your live TV operator like YouTube TV. I’m assuming carriage deals for NBC that no longer include the cable channels except Bravo needed to add a sweetener that includes some live sports.

I’m guessing during the day they’ll just put on the radio simulcasts already on their free NBC Sports Now channel, like Dan Patrick, Pro Football Talk, and Le Batard.

Excited Gold Zone will be easier to watch though. Best part of the Olympics.

  5. If this ends up blacking out more of MLB.tv like they did with apple TV I will go full pirate. These exclusivity deals are horrible for consumers.

  6. If that’s the case, then the NHL needs to leave TNT and ESPN and go back to NBC. Ever since the NHL left NBC, I hate national games.

  7. Can we just get an hour long show that shows just highlights of all that days sporting events??? No bs editorial segments, just pure sports highlights and a blooper reel at the end.

  8. So will this have the Big Ten weekly football game simulcast on it or is that still exclusive to Peacock?

  9. Wait, do I have severe Mandela Effect, wasn’t there already an NBC Sports Network

  10. So do they also have 8 consecutive hours every weekday of people that know precious little about the topics they’re discussing at the very top of their lungs?

  11. Ah, they had a nice NBC sports channel a few years ago but shuddered it after they lost the NHL license.

Seems so odd…  I guess executives are going to executive.

  12. Launching on YouTube TV before Comcast cable. NBC == Comcast Cable. This is what you call a shot.
