Shaedon Sharpe led Portland with 35 points on 13-of-18 shooting, along with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Deni Avdija added 32 points, shooting 12-of-18 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range.

For the Pelicans, rookie Derik Queen scored a career-high 26 points with seven rebounds and four assists, while Saddiq Bey added 25 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Trey Murphy III contributed 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists, and he moved into second place on the franchise’s all-time three-pointers made list, passing Jrue Holiday, with only CJ McCollum ahead of him.

With the win, Portland improves to 6–5, while New Orleans falls to 2–9.

  1. Even when Jrue is not at his best, his impact is enormous.
    Deni benefits from playing besides a real playmaker. Shaedon is among the best athletes in the league, and he starts to prove why he can be phenomenal.
    JH is the key.
    Deni is the star.
    Tumani is the silent power behind everything.
    Grant and Shaedon are excellent, they really deserve respect.
