[Aaronson] Jared McCain is expected to play with the Delaware Blue Coats tonight and on Saturday so he can get minutes and continue acclimating. McCain has acknowledged the difficulties of playing with his bulky left knee brace. He’ll still have a minutes restriction, but longer stints.

  8. good idea. if lebron james can benefit from g league practice/play while recovering from injury, jared mccain can as well. no shame in that at all.

  16. I was hoping they would do that. Last year he struggled in the summer league, but kept playing regularly and hit the ground running for the regular season. He needs playing time now, but he’s got the talent and will come through for us.

  17. nick nurse is a good coach but some of these lineups he throws out there are abysmal.

  19. Should’ve been this way from the beginning. I’d even wait until he can play with a smaller brace. It seems like they rushed him back.

  20. Good news. I’m still mystified as to why he needs this big bulky brace and why he looks 30% slower: he tore his meniscus 11 months ago. It’s not like he blew out his ACL. I get it i get it…there’s nothing we can do, every body is different, meniscus tears vary in severity, etc etc etc.

    It’s just annoying. And perfectly sixersy.

  22. People aren’t ready for the convo that McCain isn’t the superstar that everyone wants him to be. Come back at me in 3 months. I love the kid, but he’s a 6th man in this league.
