Rich Eisen on the Rams’ & Seahawks’ WK10 Message to the Rest of the NFC | The Rich Eisen Show
You also have the NFC West which is a wagon. They have two wagons right now and you could say the Niners are going to get Brock Pury back in there and might actually be better at some point offensively with IU coming in hopefully for them. Pieraw comes back they’ll be fully constituted. Christian McAffrey is going to run the ball catch it. Defensively, they are obviously a shadow of their week one selves without Bosa and Warner, but the Rams went in and just hit them in the mouth repeatedly. They did whatever the hell they wanted going up 21 nothing. And invariably the ners aren’t going to just wilt in Santa Clara, you know, but you knew it at some point it wasn’t going to be a blowout like what Seattle was doing at the time to Arizona. At one point in the middle of the second quarter of those games, it was a a combined score of 36 to nothing. Seattle and the Rams over the Cardinals and the Ners. And these two teams face each other in week 11. Talk about another massive week 11 game in the NFC that’s in the ether right now. But Matthew Stafford is entering the MVP chat. I saw him set an international series record with five touchdown passes in London on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Uh when the Rams um went into um London and went full Bill O’Brien on him when they strolled into London and basically said to the Jaguars, you know, what’s up? What’s up, Trevor? And then off the buy, he throws for four touchdowns against the the Saints. And then Stafford throws four touchdowns against the Ners. We do the math for you again. That’s 13 touchdowns in a three-game span. And um that’s pretty damn good. Only Rothlessberger and Tom Brady have had a 14 passing touchdown and no interception streak in a three-game span since the Super Bowl started to be played in the Super Bowl era. That excludes overlapping spans. What that means is, you know, it goes from one season to another. Stafford is just one of five players to have 13 or more passing touchdowns and no interceptions over a threeame span since 1970. If you want to just basically say, how about three games in a row? Okay. With four passing touchdowns. How about that? Let’s let’s put that subset in there. Dan Marino is the only one to do it four times in a row in 94 in 84 and Pton Manning did it five times in a row in 2004. Russell Wilson did it three times in a row in 2020. Mahomes in 2018, Drew Brees in 2011 did it three straight times. Stafford though is the only one to do it without a single interception in that streak. And he also reached the 400 career passing touchdown mark, becoming the ninth player to do it. And I said on overreaction Monday, and I said here, and I’ll repeat it again, this season was going to be the season that Stafford was showing everybody he is a Hall of Famer and taking any doubters that still remain in that world and removing that doubt. He is playing like an MVP at this advanced age. And this is a guy who’s supposed to not be able to get out of bed in August to start in September, let alone get out of bed in September, so he could start spinal. Unbelievable. And he’s even like doing touchdown celebration shimies and whatever. Yeah, I mean I was having a good time. I got hit on that one pretty good, so I had to shake that one off a little bit. But uh no, it was uh I don’t know, man. Like I said, I just I have fun out there. I lose my mind when we score touchdowns. I don’t think about it. A lot of these guys are in the locker room pregame prepping what kind of dance they’re going to do. If they score a touchdown, I just go out there and play and whatever comes to me comes to me. Yeah. What was in that airirstream over the summer? Cuz we need one of those parked outside. Certainly do. Well, it helps to have Kairen Williams at two rush touchdowns, Devonte Adams and Puka Nakua being your your wide receivers, and a bunch of tight ends that are available on your waiver wire in case you want to roll the dice that it’s one of their times for right Stafford to find them in the end zone. Defensively, Verse, Young, Fisk, Land Man who punched one out, Lake just to name five. I mean, Rams, you can make the case they’re the best team in football. And you can make the case the Seattle Seahawks are the best team in football as well. Man, oh man. I know we’ve got Leonard Williams coming up in hour number three of this program, but Demarcus Lawrence made his presence known. He he basically I guess let me see the final score here. Let me get this right. Um yeah, his two touchdowns would have made it a one-sore game for the Cardinals. Guess the final score was 44 to 22. I mean, how how many second halves can Sam Darnold just smoke him if he got him? That’s two in a row now, right? Mhm. He didn’t miss a pass in week one against the the Commanders and then in the second quarter it’s like do what you want, man. You want to do Wordle? Go ahead and do Whle Do Wle, you know? Just do Whle because you already hit Jackson Smith and Jigba for a touchdown. That’s what Okay, check that box. Yeah. Oh, by the way, Jackson Smith and Jigba 1,041 receiving yards in the first nine games. That’s one better than Julio Jones for sixth all time. Smith and Jigba was now is now fifth. Um he missed Justin Jefferson’s 2022 mark of 1,061 by just 19 yards. Joins Irv and Antonio Brown is the only players with 75 or more receiving yards in each of their first nine games of the season. The running attack is great. I mean, it’s kind of crazy. The Seattle Seahawks, they have one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the game right now. They have arguably the most prolific wide receiver in the game right now. And they have the most scorers in the league who are not on your fantasy team and you’ve never heard of and you’re like, “Wait a minute, who’s that person? He plays in the National Football League.” That’s what I said last week. pretty much. And Demarcus Lawrence became the first player ever with multiple defensive fumble returns of for a touchdown of 20 yards or more in a single game. And he did it in the first half. It was over. This thing was done and and finished. So, uh, the Seahawks are showing they can do at home remarkably what they do on the road, which is win and not lose. And next week, it’s Seattle and Cooper Cup who had a nice game and returning back in Los Angeles. Both teams seven and two. Oh, baby. And you got the defending Super Bowl champs going against the Packers who are at top their division tonight. You got the Bears with six wins. They come back on the Giants. You’ve got the Bucks with six wins even though they lost to New England. This NFC is wide open. Wide open. Hey, you made it all the way to the end. Thanks for that. Seahawks fan here. It’s back to reality time. You can have hope but that only gets you through the pregame, then it’s talent verses talent. Experience verses experience. Rams have us outnumbered in those areas. Rams will beat us. I hope it’s close and hope for an upset.
Whoever wins is going to enter the chat
The 14-3 Vikings (with Sam Darnold) thought they were a good team also, until they met the Rams in the playoffs. The Rams straight OWN Sam Darnold.
Seahawks and Rams are the best teams in the league right now and it's not particularly close. The team that doesn't turn the ball over will probably win. Stafford better get rid of the ball quickly and accurately.
Bro…glasses on or off and leave the paper alone.
Rams own Darnold 💪
I don’t care who beats who in the regular season doesn’t matter come playoff time win or go home
OK everyone calm down, Hawks are good at the moment but Rams, Detroit , Eagles and probably 49ers are still the teams to beat. We wont beat the Rams Sun but I want to see us compete and scare the hell out of them…As for changing game time , no thanks 9.05 pm in England on a cold winters night is great …🥶
As a Rams fan this game is such a great matchup. Will be pacing all afternoon. I think this is Seattle's best team since their SB teams
The reason they won’t flex this game is that most people in the eastern time zone will be in bed.
JSN has missed 4-4th quarters due to blowouts and stars being pulled.
Come on Seahawks thru only 2 passes over the entire 2nd half.
I hate the Seahawks. I hate Seattle. I hate West Seattle. I hate Delridge. Rams: 45-0
Why aren’t they flexing this game to Sun Night!? Nobody wants to watch Cowboys and Raiders play! Both those teams shouldn’t be playing any prime time games
I think Seahawk fans are severely overestimating themselves while severely underestimating the rams. I see a lot of Seahawks talking about how their defense and offense is so much better than ours smh that type of thinking is why the rams are going to punch them in the mouth.
Rams 35 Seahawks 24
We win the toss and defer stop the Seahawks and go score and from that point on rams will control everything
Seahawks fan here. This is the test of all tests. Best of the best will be known.
5 minutes talking about the rams (with some 49er cameos). 2 minutes talking about the Seahawks. Sounds about right. Even when Rich tries to give credit to a Seattle sports team/player, he can’t bring himself to do it.
I like Seattle's chances to win this Sunday on the road.
Combined score of 36 in the second quarter?? Seattle was up 35-0 with 8 minutes till half
I noticed ol eli apple was out there trying to get a pick 😅
can we stop pretending that stafford did magic work against the saints, injury dead 9ners defense and the ovverated jaguars ?
Rams beat Sam Donald both times when he played with the Vikings, the regular season and the playoffs.
The last time Darnold played the Rams he got sacked 8 times.
The Seahawks vs Rams game is going to be wild—I expect to have a heartburn throughout it all…
The Rams will show the leage
Dude the Cardinals are like a bad D2 college team. Why are you even bringing them up they are completely irrelevant
The Hawks are going into this game playing with house money….remember the entire planet thought the billy goats were the NFC West favorite…..a NFC contender…..they all predicted before the season Seattle was going to battle AZ for 3rd place or just be 4th…….no one is thinking that now……GO HAWKS
Rams would be 9-0 if the kicker wasn’t garbage and Mcvay made the most fundamental football play. My Rams are good right now. The seahawks game should be good.
I think Seattle takes this W but it’s gonna be a nail biter unless that defense goes crazy.
I'm sorry as a HUGE 9ers fan;
You don't lose all the talent the 9ers have lost and still compete with the Rams and Seahawks!!
Anybody else see the Rams stroll into SF and duplicate "THE CATCH"? Toss to 87 in the end zone while floating out of bounds???
This game is going to come down to "is sam as good in prime time/overtime/postseason" vs Can Seattle's Defense be as good, against Stafford.
Should be a good one. Go hawks!
Love Rich's show. Always have, but the videos are all 25% longer than they need to be. Pace is slower than sand.
Should be a good game. Matthew Stafford and the Rams are rolling right now. But how much of the receiver load can puka naucua handle.??
75% of your conversation was how great the rams are,,, little bit bias aren't we
I GOT SEAHAWKS 200 T0 0 SEAHAWKS WIN VS RAMS
