Did Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. Just Spark a Flame Under Raheem Morris’ Hot Seat? | Rich Eisen Show

  1. For anyone who is a recent fan of the Falcons, if you’re wondering hiw the Falcons are regarded in the league, consider: The young, potential franchise QB threw the entire coaching staff under the bus and then detonated a hand grenade by them, for good measure.

A full day later, i believe this is the first mention of it on Espn. Imagine if it was an NFC East team or KC,Pit, GB, NYJ etc. As Pepper Brooks might say: “Welcome to irrelevant-town, bro, population: us.”

  2. Part of thinks this.interview is on the OC and the qb coach. Then I remembered it’s on the head coach to make sure the players getting coached

  3. Between this and London clearly the players are starting to rebel against the coaches. I honestly think Blank should just fire Raheem and Terry because our schedule is easy enough if we have the right guys leading the team we could maybe sneak into the playoffs as a 9 win team.

  4. Ugh… yes and no. First, I am NOT a Cousin’s fan, but the gap between his intellect and Penix’s is huge. Much wrong with this offense… but Penix is a big part of it all. I fear this is a Tua situation brewing… where the world learns just how friggin’ dumb you actually are. Press conferences matter, as much as I hate to say it, but if you look around at how some of the other young QBs are manging the press and the locker room, Penix and Tua are standing side by side. I’m convinced he was a mistake as much as this offensive coaching staff. Sorry;)

  5. This is the Falcons culture they want, Raheem was brought back cause he fits in with the executive folks and is obviously one of Mckays boys. This is the culture that Arthur Blank loves and has let McKay spread throughout his organization. You can change the coach but they’ll just get some other milquetoast hire while they just sit back and count that stadium revenue and Blank can try to get his name on more signs and building in Georgia. Raheem is a problem but Raheem and this staff are not THE problem. That was evident when he was rehired.
