QB Jacoby Brissett Postgame – 11.9.25 | Week 10 vs. Seahawks | Press Conference
not the uh not the way you guys wanted to start. How do you kind of mentally try and fight through that the way that game started? Yeah. Um like you said, just obviously not the start that you wanted. Um spot him 40 14 points. Um you know, I think you know, as the quarterback of the team and leader of the team, you know, you you’re just in the huddle just to keep telling the guys one play at a time, one play at a time and and you know, keep your head down and don’t look up at the scoreboard toward towards the end to the end. And I think guys responded to that well. And I think I mean the the results aren’t what we wanted, but I think the you we look back on this film and you see how guys fought towards the end and um you know and and um you know it’s all you can ask for really on the two uh strip sacks in the first quarter. Can you take us kind of inside what you experienced? What was that like? What did you see? Yeah, I mean bang bang plays. uh you know, got to do a better job in those situations of protecting the ball and if anything, just take the sack and um yeah, that’s really what it was. It’s just happens like so fast that that moment happened so fast that um you know, I have to go back and watch the film and see see what I can do better. Did you feel like you were under more pressure today than you have been? Uh that’s that’s like very I think broad or is vague the right word? One of those like um uh I don’t I don’t know. I mean, it’s football, you know, you going to get hit, you going, it’s a good team over there. So, uh, man, you knew it was going to be a 60-minute game. And, um, yeah, you said Go ahead. On those strip sacks, you said maybe you should just take a sack, but realistically, is there anything quarterback can do on a play that’s that fast? Uh, yeah. I mean, I stand by I think I to take care of the team, take care of the ball, and, uh, you know, I got to find ways to get better in those situations and, uh, make better decisions overall. even outside of those strip sacks didn’t seem like the offense moved quite as cleanly as it did in your first three starts. What did you feel kind of being the differences from this game to those three? Um I think it really started on third down. I don’t think we’re really good on third down where where we’ve been excelling at to to prolong drives and run a lot of play a lot of plays on our terms. I would say um you know I think really was third down. um you know and and then you play against a team like that, you get behind the sticks and you kind of you kind of got to play a game uh early that you don’t really come into the game planning on playing. Um you know, I think that’s where it really started. It was on third down. I think you got to, you know, find ways and and to, you know, stay on the field. I think the last three weeks, uh we’ve been tops in the league on third downs and and today that was the difference, you know, third down and turnovers. You guys outscored them 229 after they went up 35 to nothing. Did you want to come out? Did you push the stand? Because I feel like the offense was was making moves and scoring some points. Oh, for sure. Uh, man, I we like I said, you know, it’s a 60-minute game. We come back in at halftime and just say, “Hey, look, like we can’t look up. You know, our defense does a good job gets us the ball back and we’re we’re we’re pushing. We’re trying to trying to fight fight ways and and find ways to get in the end zone.” And um you know, it’s just for a good team, you just can’t wait that long. You know, you can’t you can’t put yourself behind the sticks um behind a ball with 14 unanswered early in the game. you know, they um you know, I think they kind of I want to say like they thought it was over, but you know, we came out and we we put a little bit of pressure on them and and I think they felt that, but at at the end of the day, it’s just you just can’t wait that long. I think you only connected on three of 12 passes tomorrow of today. Is there something that you felt kind of going wrong with that connection? Uh I got to go back and watch the film and and be able to to assess what I could have did better. when they’re in the middle of that run, a third nothing run. Can you feel it or one of those things where you kind of look at the scoreboard, you’re like a third, I can’t believe like what did that happen? Um, can you feel it? Um, I mean I mean 14 of it came from me, you know, so I felt that. Uh, and yeah, but you know, it doesn’t discourage you. It’s just more so it just like I we always talk about margins and stuff like that. It just obviously tightens the margins up a little bit more. Uh but yeah, it’s just it’s just tough when you like I said it it really started just putting ourselves behind on a ball. Seattle was without key starts on defense. Were you surprised they were still able to you know put that amount of pressure on you guys still? No, good team. U good team, good coach, coach well uh do a lot of things on defense that um you know is favorable for them. Uh but um yeah, with some of that pressure, is any of that on you as the quarterback to set the protection differently? I’m just trying to figure out whether it was a game plan thing, a scheme thing, a in the- moment thing. So, is there any of that on you to help set the protection to make sure that they don’t, you know, get in your face that that fast? It’s all It starts with me. Yeah. And did you feel confident about the blocking scheme coming into the game? Yeah. Did did it I mean it seemed like they brought a lot of creative blitzes and sim pressures and stuff. Did it seem like those were causing you guys more issues maybe than previous week? Uh we knew that they they were going to come in and and um that’s what they do. You know, they they caused a lot of confusion and put a lot of guys around the line of scrimmage and kind of drop in and drop out and u you know I think they did a really good job of it today and uh on a couple things. you know, I mean, they the the sad part is they lucked up into one and we had a guy running wide open in the middle of the field and the bad part is it ended up being seven points for them on the trip sack, you know. So, um you know, it’s just the it’s the it’s tough, you know. I mean, it’s a good team. Coach well, like I said, the scheme is they do they play their scheme well. They they understand their weaknesses and um you know, I think and they came out on top. when you guys were watching the film and comparing the last time you played him, how much different was what you saw on the field today from what you studied all week? Uh, pretty much along along along the lines of the same thing. What’ you make of Trey performance connection with him today? Yeah, I mean he’s it’s it’s no surprise, you know. Um, he’s if not the best tight end in the league and it’s it shows every week, you know, the the the amount of respect that they gave him on the other side. Uh, you know, they tried doubling him as well and putting their corners on them and their say like giving them a whole bunch of different looks and and um, you know, he made the most of a lot of his opportunities and and um, yeah, thought he Yeah.

McBride please sign my jersey I was there and you just denied me
Kyler Haters, Inc ™ got what they wanted.
And people said kyler is the problem, those people don't know what they are talking about. Our O line is trash, QB can't do his job when as soon as the snap he runs for his life
3-6; Murray advised to make a business desicion and sit the remainder of the 2025 season out. Reaccess after 8 games.
Cards are about to TURN IT AROUND for a historic Superbowl run!! Cards up 🐦🟥🟥🟥
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I guess if jacoby was taller, we wouldn't have so many batted down passes 🤦🏾♂️. And this is why talk sports seem so ignorant. This same game under kyler. All we would have heard this morning is how tall he is. And for the reporter who asked if there's anything a quarterback can do , yes there is. We've been watching Kyler do it for 7 years. 🤷🏾♂️
I think kyler running and moving will off help in this game a lot
Kyler is not the problem. ❤kyler.
This man is a leader
