Trevor Lawrence Discusses Loss to Texans | Jacksonville Jaguars

um got some chemistry this week established in practice and was able to go out and make a few plays. Yeah, he did a good job this week, you know, preparing himself to, you know, learn the system as quick as he can, learn the game plan, and and go um make plays for us. He made a couple big ones today and one early was taken off due to a penalty, but thought he did a great job being ready. Um super hard worker, you know, was impressive during the week and um yeah, thought he did did a nice job. How hard was it to get anything going consistently in the pass game today with guys out receiver and then the shuffle on the offensive line? Yeah, I mean we had our opportunities. We just didn’t take advantage of them. Um I think obviously like those things you mentioned are um they can play a factor, but I really think it was more self-inflicted um things really throughout the passing game and throughout the day on offense to be honest. I mean there was a lot of stuff we left out there. It’s a really good defense. You know, give all the credit to them. They’re they are really good defense. So, um they made some plays um today where, you know, good good defense, good teams are going to make plays, but I also feel like we we left some stuff out there that we had some opportunities and we just have to be better and and make those moving forward. We need them. Um you know, we got to play better offensively. We got to move the ball better, got to score more, had a lot of short fields today. Um and we just got to take advantage of that and be able to, you know, put a team away when you got them when you got them down that much and you got to be able to finish and put the game away. Williamson, shell shock, disbelief in the locker room. Is that the way you would describe it to after that? Yeah, I mean it’s it’s I mean it’s tough losing in general, but to lose that way and to control the game and then to, you know, just kind of let it go and and give it away is is tough. So, um, you know, it’s tough to be in that locker room after a game like that and guys put so much into it and to not finish and play our best down the stretch is is tough. So, you know, we got to bounce back. We got a we got a long season ahead of us, but definitely have to learn from this and not let this happen again and we got to be able to close those games out because um, you got to win those and keep from bleeding over into the week and stuff and next week or the week after. I mean, we just got to we got to move on to the next week. Unfortunately, this is what happened today and um can’t change it now. It’s over and it’s done. And you know, we got to we got to move forward and into our to our next week and learn from it. I mean, let that be a chip on our shoulder and and a little bit of fire under us for this week of practice. You know, it should sting for a while. You put a lot into it and you have control of a game and you you got to finish them. So, yeah, I think guys are, you know, really frustrated in in how it all played out and how we finished the game rightfully so. We all are frustrated, but we got to be able to channel that and to have a great week of preparation and go get a win next week. How tough is it to overcome uh the penalties um and like asking you like is it does it make you want to press more to make plays after you get knocked for a holding or something like that? Uh you know, I think it is hard to overcome penalties and that’s something where we just have to be better. We’ve said it all season long and we have to clean up the penalties and there’s too many today putting us behind the chains. It’s hard, especially against a really good defense, really good pass rush. You put yourself in tough situations. Um, usually not a good result when you do that. So, we got to clean that up. You know, I think for me playing quarterback, I got to just play every play for what it is, not try to press, not try to do certain things. Um, and can’t let the situation affect me. You know, I thought at times, you know, I managed that well, and times I didn’t. So, you know, I got to watch the tape and see what all kind of went wrong. I know there was a handful of plays that I got to I got to do better. I got to do my job and be sharper and, you know, help the guys out around me. And, you know, we’ll we’ll watch it. I can’t name them all right now, but um definitely not a not a great performance by us as an offense. We got to find ways to improve. Parker’s game today. Parker played great. Parker played great. Uh did a lot of really good things. I think he had some, like I like I said earlier, kind of alluded to, he had some more opportunities that we could have taken advantage of. And uh he’s just continuing to play well and got a lot of confidence. He’s playing with a lot of confidence right now. see the plays he’s making for our team. He’s been huge. So, got to keep him going. That was, you know, obviously a bright spot of the of a rough day, but he, you know, he did some great things and continuing to play well. All right. Everybody good? Good. I've read of the comments,, and what you people to fail to realize we were up by 20 points the defense lost that game Trevor just failed to put any more points on the board after the first half,, and then he screwed up and gave the ball to Houston with 3 seconds left in the game and they scored😢😢

  17. People are saying Trevor keeps getting outplayed by back-up QBs, as if he's the one letting the back-up QB get 300 passing yards against us, lol.

    He's not playing against the back-up QB, he's playing against the best defense in the NFL and leading our offense to more points against them than any other team did this year except the Seahawks. Meanwhile the back-up QB on the Texans is having a field day because we have no pass rush, and we're letting them score the second most points they got against anyone all year.
