  1. dumb. how do you only have 1 world team?

so what, you’re selecting 8 international players and 16 americans?

when the last 5 MVPs have been international players??!?

  2. People sure love to complain don’t they?

People hated the NBA cup idea but now it seems to be universally enjoyed.

I will wait to see how it goes before deciding.

  3. Yeah dont care. East vs west is the only good format. Find a better way to incentivize the players.

  4. Who makes the world team is gonna be pretty interesting

Wemby, Joker, Luka, SGA, and Giannis are locks

Franz, Deni, Jamal Murray, Sengun, Giddy, Siakam, and Lauri all fighting for 3 spots.

  5. People called 4 Nations stupid but then it popped off. It’s clear the NBA took notice and is trying to replicate that. I think it has a good chance of being entertaining

  6. I wish they’d just expand the number of All-Stars to 32, make it 4 teams regardless of nation. 16 from both conferencs, and have them the players from the same conference play each other first then winners move on to the “money” game. There have been 24 All-Stars for too long with the league up to 450 contracted players per year, that’s about 5% of the players getting selected. For reference, up until 1989, the league had 276 players in the 80s with 24 All-Stars, that’s around 8.5% of players being selected. If the league just expanded to 32 for the future, that’s about 7%. It just makes more sense to grow your product with the inclusion of more All-Star level players on display with less snubs.

  7. Just get street ballers to come play at AS weekend and let players do things like skills challenge or three point contest. The actual AS game(s) are pointless and boring. Let street ballers enjoy the stage and entertain fans imo.

  8. Should just revert back to the old system and have whichever conference wins gets home court advantage in the finals or some shit idk
