The Russian Five really changed the whole vibe in Detroit. The way they moved the puck was unreal.

1. all five of 91’s goals and the plays they came from that night were pure filth

2. That had to frustrate the living shit out of opposing coaches.. Scottie must’ve been in heaven.

4. the dominance and puck control game of those years is unmatched. they were playing a different game than the rest of the league. there were many moments that it felt like the other team wasn’t even on the ice or was a set of practice cones.

5. It should be called “total hockey”. They are interchangable parts- beautiful to watch- amazingly difficult to execute

7. I honestly don’t know that we will ever see anything quite the same as these guys. It still amazing… maybe even more amazing all these years later.
