Drake Thomas. What is going on with Drake Thomas? The guy is like 510. And I swear to God, his hit in the back field, Derek was like, at least from my angle, was like Javian Clownyesque. It was like, what the hell? Like that rocket just came through. And you don’t see guys get hit that hard in the back field like that. And Trey Thomas, two tackles for loss. I thought he had another strong game. He was great. And yeah, it is funny to see him pop up and he’s like, “Yeah, 510 on a good day maybe, but very squatty.” Very squatty.

If he were 3 or 4 inches taller, he would have been All-ACC each year he played, a top 10 NFL pick, andthe first LB off the board – well, maybe 2nd behind Jack Campbell. Look up his college numbers, he was an absolute monster…he had 100+ tackles his last two seasons at NC State.
Man…I hate seeing guys who have a ton of talent, a nose for the ball, and all the intangibles not make it in the league because they're too small for their position…especially when you see guys who have the perfect body type for their position piss it away and not make it past their rookie contract.
I hope the Hawks continue to scheme ways to keep him on the field…and I'm sure they will because MacDonald is all about that.
If you watch film on him and break down the X's and O's like a coach does, you see real quick that his dude belongs, and I hope he plays for 10+ years in the league.
