Don't believe anyone trying to tell you the OL isn't bad because we don't give up pressures. We are throwing the ball really short to compensate. Throwing the ball the 4th shortest distance (intended air yards) and still having the 9th lowest pressure rate is bad. We are throwing it fast and STILL getting pressured.

Also how is his bad throw% so low
I also included yards per attempt to make sure I’m showing the whole picture and not cherry picking stats. He’s getting a ton of YAC, 11th most among QBs, so his regular yards per attempt are only the 13th lowest.
Aren’t we beating a dead horse by posting Geno’s stats? We all know and see that he’s playing poorly. Idk how many people need stats to prove it

And people will tell you with their full chest he’s the best QB on the roster.
Last year the oline showed slight improvement because it got healthy towards the end of the year. This year, it’s the opposite where we’re getting worse because it’s been plug and play with basically 3rd stringers on any other team.
Chip and Geno deserve some hate but at the same time, when the most important fundamental group of an offense is worse than ass, it makes it pretty hard to do anything.
After a few games Chip has dumbed the system down like he was calling for a rookie QB. He doesn’t let him make any advanced throws any more.
What’s funny, actually sad, about this is the person who’s been rumored to join the team is #2, ffs
Get ready for kyler murray boys😂
I really hope Rodgers retires. I really don’t like the guy.
Legitimately asking, but doesn’t Geno also come in towards the top of the league in average time to throw? I swear I saw that floating around.
Geno is literally sandwiched between Goff and Rodgers so these numbers are completely irrelevant
Stats are fun. Here’s another one, time in pocket. **Average time the QB had in the pocket between the snap and throwing the ball or pressure collapses the pocket, in seconds.**
Geno is currently tied for 8th longest pocket time in the league. Doesn’t that indicate that he DOESN’T get rid of the ball as fast as you say he does?
Yes, Geno throws it short, but he also takes a long time to get rid of it. Throwing it short and throwing it quick aren’t necessarily the same thing.

And to clarify, I never said the OL isn’t bad. I said it’s not as bad as it seems, and Geno sucking makes it seem worse than it is.
EDIT: I saw your comment on pocket time, so let’s look at some more stats.
* [**Prass Protection Composite Rankings**](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1op9ta7/baldwin_2025_pass_protection_composite_rankings/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)**.** Raiders OL was ranked middle of the pack at 16 (this was before JPJ’s injury).
* [**Time to Throw by NFL Next Gen**](https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#average-time-to-throw)**.** Geno has the **12th longest time to throw.**
So when you actually look at the full picture and don’t just cherry pick stats, the story seems to be: the OL is average at pass protection, and Geno throws it short but he *doesn’t* throw it quick.
Which brings me back to the point of my post, the one you made this in response to. The OL isn’t good, but it’s not as bad as it seems, at least in pass protection. With better QB play who actually gets the ball out on time and on target, this offense would be much, much better.
After the first couple games, they really adjusted play calling and stopped throwing downfield. Too many INT. Bowers being hurt and Thorton sucking contributed as well.
Jimmy Garoppolo 2.0
Put in AOC as soon as he’s healthy, please.
Polar opposite from the first few weeks. Almost like Chip started to call a more conservative game because his QB couldn’t stop throwing to the other team.
The oline is bad. And it’s, unfortunately, in desperate need of talent. I say unfortunate because the last few drafts there have been a higher focus on offense than defense.
We’ve come a long way since game 1
What does this prove? Goff is number 5 right after him. Are you going to tell me the Lions aren’t good?
He has no time, our line sucks
