I thought this would be a more “general” stats of Mobley vs Toronto post because it feels to me that most times I’ve watched Cavs vs Raptors this Scott Barn guy plays with more energy as if he has something to prove compared to Evan.
Since being drafted in 2021 we have played 17 games against the Raptors and in 15 of those both Mobley and Barnes played.
Cavs have won 9 vs 6 for the Raptors.
Barnes outscored Mobley in 8 vs 6 where Mobley outscored Barnes, and 1 in which they scored the same (11pts).
Averages are 17.73pts for Barnes vs 16.4pts for Mobley.
So not a huge difference (at least in this shallow look at basic stats), they do play different roles, and I obviously prefer Mobley (but he has to do better, like going above 20ppg).
Not a great game for Evan. He needs to get more shots and be more involved on offense. That will happen with time.
But the FTs are starting to worry me.
old triple single strikes again
82 game season y’all
Nae’Qwan had more points than Evan and JA combined. And honestly, those two having lackadaisical performances are the reason the Cavs lost
He HAS to become a better iso scorer or we are screwed in the playoffs
Dude was straight up feeling the Miami effect
South Beach Flu
coming off a rest day this is pathetic
Sadly only 1 turnover speaks to his lack of touches and not his aggressiveness.
Mobley was bad, undeniable. But Mitchell having a 40% usage rate doesn’t help the team either. There were times Mobley was open under the basket and did not get the ball from Mitchell.
I don’t know if Mobley is this type of player, but sometimes players disengage when the ball can’t consistently find them. Mobley hit that first 3, and I thought we were gonna have a good game from him but he faded as the game went on
