Smith Credits Askarov for Win, Breaks Down His Power Play Goal | Sharks @ Wild Post-Game (11.11.25)

Well, just talk about uh this game struggle to the great offense at first. Um they talk about that and then obviously able to get a couple goals there in the end. Yeah. Um I think Warso talked about it’s an 82 game season and we didn’t have it there for the first 40, but we stuck with it and um got it done. What can you say about uh Yaruslav and how he kept you guys in it through that 40? Uh yeah, he was unbelievable. He’s been uh really good for us and um we wouldn’t win that game wasn’t for him. You had talked about it. It was discussed, but what were you guys saying in between periods that kept your momentum going and and told you guys that you were still in this thing? Um I think we just knew we needed to be better. Uh, every guy um started with me, our line, we had to be better and um ask keeping us in there one nothing game after 40 after playing like that was um pretty good for us. So um that helped us get it done. The Wild seemed to be defending your line really really hard. What were they doing to you guys and to Mlin in particular? Um, I think we know we’re going to get their their bests every night. And, um, I think it’s something that we got to, uh, always strive for to, you know, create more offense there with the first, like I said, the first 40 minutes we were struggling a little bit, but um, you got to stick with it. Um, playing the best teams in the league. What did Colin add to your line when he jumped on it? Yeah, he was great. I think um, they were trying to shake it up a bit and, um, yeah, it was we got a little forche there, drew that penalty which kind of started the whole thing. kind of just a beautiful setup there on the power play for your goal. Talk. Walk me through that one. Yeah, I mean I had the easy job of putting the net. They uh it was a kind of a quick break in and a little bit of tic-tac-toe and then next thing you know it was on my tape. What did you see as sort of the breakdown there for the wild side because that’s unusual to have four passes like that connect like that. Um, I mean, we’re coming with a good amount of speed, so uh, other other times it wasn’t working and luckily that one we kind of had a good rhythm and um, everyone kind of stuck to their routes um, for for that breakin and worked out. It’s been a while since the Sharks have had a winning streak like this. How’s it feel? It feels good. Feels good to win. Thanks, guys. Thanks,

  1. Smith: "we wouldn't have won that game if it wasn't for him"
Nedeljkovic: "am I a joke to you?"
Just joking but yeah Askarov played his heart out again. Can't even blame him for the goal he gave up. Was perfectly sniped. Another great game by the Sharks. Could the future be now?
