Includes trades we made with other teams with players we received from the Chris Paul trade as well as following trades from said players.
I couldn't find where the 2025 second-round pick via the Suns went since 2nd rounders are particularly hard to track. The 2024 second-round pick via the Suns was voided due to violating NBA free agency rules.
Here is the link to the spreadsheet I made for what each team ended up with, including what the Wizards had to give up.

The fact we got anything for him considering his super max was already a win
We could have juiced a lot more value had we traded him prior but overall glad we were able to get value
We got Khash and AJ Johnson for Kuzma, not connected to Beal. Overall I think our FO did great, we got off the worst contract in the league and got draft capital, especially some juicy Suns pick swaps
Letting Rollins go looking like a massive mistake
Bilal had very little to do with the Beal deal. We gave up the 8th pick and some change to move up one spot
Let’s wait until the lottery this year before making any conclusions just yet
Ask me again in 2030
Beal was a negative asset. We got off of that contract. It would have been a win even if we got literally nothing in return.
Beal made his next two teams look like idiots for acquiring him. Meanwhile, we were able to finally stop being idiots and start rebuilding properly.
The same way I felt about it when it happened.
It was a miracle we got off the contract, and got anything of value back. Considering how big of a decline Brad went through between injuries and horrible fit in Phoenix, the fact that we’re in the position of being really bad with young talent is a god send vs 5 years of $250 mil holding us hostage.
It looks like those pick swaps could be helpful as well. If the Suns win the lottery next year (and the pick conveys to Washington), the Wizards might have to hang his jersey in the rafters. If it happens again in ’28 or ’30, they might hang his Suns jersey there.
