Cash in however possible. He’s done as a niner. Thanks and good luck.
Keep him – Brock will get hurt again, unfortunately
This team needs to trade quality backups like I need a hole in my head. If the Jets were willing, I would’ve tossed him in a Quinnen Williams trade but why would the Jets do that? They have such a rich history of drafting and developing quarterbacks.
Kurtis Rourke is the main factor. If he shows he can ball at a high level then try to get as much as you can trading Mac. If he’s mediocre then keep Mac because he will probably be needed.
Sending him to Kansas City of course!
But in all seriousness, I could see Jerry Jones giving us something absurd for him.
Trade him and our first to New York for their first and draft one of the tackles from Utah.
Either one will be the Trent Williams replacement in 27
Wait to see where Klay decides to OC for-and if they don’t have a set QB situation and also aren’t the Cardinals-trade Mac there.
I say hold on to him, if not go for a Defensive player.
Have him lead an artificial turf specialist squad so Brock doesn’t get hurt at places like MetLife.
If they get a 2nd round pick or better, trade him. If they don’t, hold on to him.
Too bad we had to play Mac Jones, could have signed him on another cheap extension for another 2 years as Purdy’s backup. He has played great with all the injuries the team has. We keep on training starting QBs for other teams will be our downfall. 😂
Keep him as a backup, its great knowing if our goat goes down, we are covered
Depends, does Purdy play the rest of the season without injury ?
He is on contract for 2 years so…keep him?
Anyone they trade for better ask about the 49ers Health Plan. Especially deductibles.
Trade him to the saints and get ratler in return.
I think if we’ve learned anything over the past few seasons, it’s that we need depth at EVERY position. He’s proven that he is more than capable of being able to run the offense. We need to keep him unless there is an absolute no brainer of an offer we receive
Definitely trade him and pick up a new backup QB. He’ll fetch us a 2nd rounder, easily
keep him for the vibes
Eat him, he looks tasty
Keep him for QB #2.
Qb1 might get injured and we need a competent QB for backup
Trading Mac won’t be a day two pick.
Keeping Mac and letting him get to FA will give us a third in compensation
If he wants to be a starter then trade him for a healthy defensive player
keep him – a good backup is invaluable
If you can get a solid pick on day 2 of the draft, trade Mac.
If not, keep Mac and get the comp pick when he signs elsewhere for 2027 and have another year of having an S tier backup QB – this also opens up the possibility of trading him next year during preseason or the trade deadline if someone gets desperate due to injuries.
Keep him. Cheap reliable backup
Might be starting him… stay tuned folks!!!
If you can get a first trade him otherwise keep him. We’d get a comp pick when he signs a massive deal no?
Give Mac the choice. He has earned the right to have input on where he would go. Under no circumstances should we send him to a crappy team if he doesn’t want to go there. He deserves respect.
Let’s find out after the season.
Don’t trade him. Purdy has been getting blown up every season. Without his scrambling he’s not a top tier QB, and he has what could be a permanent, serious foot injury.
8 feel like he should be a backup QB and I also feel like Kyle should draw up some tricky 2nd QB plays where Either Mac comes in and lines up in the backfield or he subs out for a special Mac play. I feel like this would add another layer of confusion to keep our opponents guessing.
Keep him
Let him ride the bench just incase Brock pulls a Jimmy g
Who?

Sacrifice him in a blood magic ritual in exchange for an anti-injury ward around the team. Mac’s noble sacrifice will be etched into 49ers lore and celebrated for millennia to come!

Keep him. You never know what’s going to happen in the NFL and you keep as much quality talent as you can. Especially when it’s cheap talent. Now, if some team is willing to throw a stupid amount of draft picks at us then you might be able to persuade me.
Let him him heal and get healthy. Then extend him or trade him.
Let’s see how Purdy performs the remainder of the season before cutting loose Mac Jones.
Keep him as a back up to Purdy? Seems like a good insurance policy at a great price.
Trade to a team who needs a scrappy qb who is ready to go.
Keep him injury’s happen especially to a mobile qb qb like purdy,
Crazy take- trade purdy and free up 50 mil of salary
He is even under contract next year? Seems like we get guys who come in for a low 1 year deal to try and resurrect their career.
I assumed he was just going to get paid to play elsewhere next year after showing what he can do.
Writer of the article here. Thanks for adding it to the sub. Whenever I see something I wrote I hit /49ers, whether good or bad I take it as a compliment.
Still remember when a tweet (or post or whatever) about Garoppolo being a Shaolin monk coming here and you guys having fun with it.
Rock on.Go Niners.
Trade his ass then go sign the next castaway former rd1 qb to a 2 year deal to be qb2 and do it again
Keep him. This team needs depth at all positions. Mac is on an affordable contract. You keep him.
For saving our season, help him get paid elsewhere if someone wants him.

Trade him for an offensive lineman.
