NHL Highlights | Oilers vs. Hurricanes – November 15, 2025

matched his careerh high with 22 goals as a Carolina Hurricane. He lines up against his former team. We’re set to go. Jordan Stall, the longtime captain of the Canes, wins the opening faceoff from Leon Drytle. And we are underway. It’s Edmonton and Carolina from Raleigh. And the puck worked in deep. Dry subtle with a quick turnover. And now a shot by Stall off the pads of Skitter on his left side. Here’s Conor McDavid. He’s been hot lately. Carries hard to the net. A shot that was on net and Anderson made a mile in hits recorded in those playoffs. Turnover by Frederick. Dashing in Elers’s quick shot. The tough right pad save. Coto started and got the win last night to run his record to 3-0. Phil shot off the rush and a save made by Anderson. Juicy rebound. Booard at home. onetime by Yoel Nestro who has thrived with the injuries to Jaylen Chatfield and Jacob Slavven neither of whom are in the lineup tonight for Carolina. It’s guys like Nester who’ve stepped up. Nurse a turnover and a quick goal for Jack Rosc. Anderson put it right on his stick and Roselc stays hot. He makes it one nothing with his sixth goal as an Oiler. Cleared down the ice by Nikesan. Pressure from Sebastian AO. The steel to the net, a backhander denied by Steuart Skinner. One-time coming and that was blasted by Shawn Walker who stepped up. AO had the overtime winner last night against Vancouver. McDavid trying to squeeze that stick of AOS against his side and draw a call. Unsuccessful in that endeavor. Ros cross ice. Walman has come on for Bousard and takes a pass from dry subtle up top. Shot deflected just fine. That wrong footed Anderson but stayed out. 25 seconds left on the power play. Drives under Rosel make a shot short side. Rebound McDavid. He scores. Two nothing Edmonton. Conor McDavid. Power play goal. Really aggressive penalty killing by the Carolina Hurricanes. I mean they pressured every single time in zone on the puck and they were doing a great job of breaking it up. But once this puck is moved around and this is where you separate, create some space for yourself. Move it a few times, get the formation to slow down and it’s the shot mentality of Ros Levik. Hard carum off the back wall. This short side shot corral quick release by McDavid beats Anderson and Zack Heyman doing what he does best creating a little bit of a distraction right here on the flyby. No reaction by Anderson. He’s a little brings it in deep. That’s going to be retrieved by Walker. Hard rim up the right hand side. Janowski didn’t get it out. And then as it floated toward the net, Anderson will lay it to rest. But when he’s in there, he’s a point for game defenseman. Andre Snatchikov, a drive from distance. That was tipped and Skinner was able to pounce on it. Mapani able to hold the zone. Now Frederick goes to work. Fires it across to Walman. His shot. Anderson doesn’t know where it is. Loose in the blue paint. Squirts out. There’s a slap shot and that stayed out. Hanes have lost two of those Eastern Finals to Florland, winning only one of nine games in the process. Here’s Eric Robinson. Lead pass to the middle. Shot off the post. Rink wide to Walker. Now Taylor Hall, first overall pick of the Oilers 15 years ago. Here’s a drive and a goal. And you can feel that coming for Carolina. The pressure finally pays off. Walton takes forever behind the net, but then they turn it over as soon as they go up the ice. This is another battle won by the Hurricanes on the wall inside the line. They have not vacated that line all game long. They’re standing strong on it and they’re winning pucks and it results in this excellent move and that is snapping the puck around. Wall-to- wall and eventually it’s a one-time one-touch pass by Gost Despair. There’s the one-time right there. Robinson Robinson 18 singlehandedly lugging New Jersey into the playoffs. It remains the largest disparity for a team’s leading scorer and the second leading scoreer in the history of the league. Slave one of the best defensive defenseman in the league. And Jaylen Chatfield centering passers in front. Jackson Blake gives it up. Tie game. Healers from Blake. 2-2. Creating a havoc. Look at this D to D. There’s no time. This pass not out of the out of the zone. It’s counted a little bit too sharply off the wall and it’s a turnover in zone. And then credit the Carolina Hurricanes. They have spread out Evon. They found ways to get shots from the slot. And this one here, just a wide open pass by Blake. Now he freezes Skinner and Skinner has to respect him. So he’s holding, holding, holding. Partially blocked by Nurse, who again has been among the league leaders all season long. Kicked out by Spetchnikov. Gostas Bear up to Jarvis in front. Redirected by Eers and a good read by Skinner. He knew exactly what was going on there. Fumble returned it to Gostas Bear. Stepping up looking for a lane. Janowski all alone. shoots again and Skinner with a glove save and boy did Edmonton need that carved out of there. Fetchnik the call with a minute 30 to go in the period trying to turn Wman centering pass Jarvis a shot bland side doesn’t go this is a nice little pass through and a good shot by Jar and we start this third period in the knowledge that Edmonton has played 12 one-goal games among its 19 the boards it’s a little bit of a snow build up there and that puck has gone right up on edge and it did right there Roselvic in front of Sprawling save made by Anderson and he’s able to recover just as you said that Louie it came free and Roselvic set up dry cidle and Anderson probably his best stop of the night a few times here offensively it works and this is a nice pass once again as you mentioned Rosik is there to find that loose puck and he threads this one through this one’s going in have won a cup with this addition knocking on the door or expected to be so again this here. Lead pass to him. Dry settle back door score. Conor McDavid and Edmonson regains the lead at three to2. Evson was flatfooted. Watch this. This puck doesn’t get out. Evan Bousard steps in front of his guy Jordan Stall. He gets this puck, puts it quickly up to Zack Heimman, who takes a hit by Miller driving this puck into the zone. Drops it to Dry Cidle. And what a pass across to the streaking McDavid. You know he’s going to get to that post. Dry Sidle puts it in place. No chance for Anderson on that one. And Zack Heyman will pick up his first point and it’s a 3-2 game Everton. So now can the Oilers close it out and begin this marathon 7game 12day trip. Two and one. Carolina looking to tie. Quick shot stopped Jordan Stall and we are tied again. And this starts in the defensive zone. A faceoff win quickly up the ice though. And you’re going to see this little play off the carum on the wall. Little poke check. And it’s the drive by Ker to get this puck deep. I mean, he drives this right around Steuart Skinner. Such a great skater for a big player. And he just kind of drops it in motion and Jordan Stall gets to the spot. Fights off the check. Carrier gets there and boom. They were starting to look a bit drained. Now the energy back in the building. Ripped off the post by the key. David already with two tonight. Echoloma a shot and that was blocked. Kept alive. McDavid wide open. Squeezed through Anderson. It’s still loose and finally cleared out the blue paint. He’s the offense once again. And this is Heyman just wins a battle to get it to McDavid. Quick release. Big chunk of it by Anderson. And he actually gets a little lucky as he spins back. It’s his right pad that shovels this one out of the blue paint. Watch this. He doesn’t know where it is. Boom. Fed along bynikov. And then a quick up Jarvis to Setchnikov and that stayed out. Skinner got it with his right pad. Sorry, Jarvis. Ao to Jarvis. Jarvis just waits and it’s that little patience trying to dislodge that puck determinally as but McDavid won’t do it. Here’s T settle off the game play and it stayed out. Collision with Kulak. This one destined for overtime. Three on three for five minutes to settle it. We played 60 with nothing. We’re live. Overtime 33 and three on three for five minutes on hockey night in Canada. We’ve got McDavid, Dry Cidle, and Booard. McDavid carries it in. Dry Cidle having won the faceoff, dukes it, scores. And Edmonton 19 seconds in, prevails 43 in overtime. Boy, was that of her short work in overtime. Got to win the faceoff, Jack. You talk about it all the time. They do win the faceoff. McDavid transports this puck up the ice. Little drop pass and he shoots it right through.

Connor McDavid scored two goals and set up Leon Draisaitl’s OT winner to lead the Edmonton Oilers past the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3.

  1. Oh my god… That was the funniest goaltending moment I have seen in the second goal for the Hurricanes in a LONG time! Stu is a highlight reel that never ends…

  2. And of course the Canucks fans are out and about saying Edmonton barely won because they played the Nucks last night lol. Like anybody would be tired after playing Vancouver 😂

  3. Oilers только в овертайме смогла победить Hurricanes!!!! Позорище а не команда…..The Oilers only managed to beat the Hurricanes in overtime!!!! What a disgraceful team they are…

  4. Skinner was the only reason this game didn't turn really ugly. Though he needs more guys who can defend and not just puck watch. Second goal, 5 oilers puck watching, 4 hurricans standing just outside the clusterfuck laughing, saying "this is gonna be good".

  5. Excellent game boys!! Stu actually did what a Goalie does, my faith is beginning to come back. But I’m not looking forward to the rest of this road trip😅

  6. I think the Oilers would have had a pretty good chance of winning the cup if Hyman wasn't injured. He's such a big difference maker man. A lot of people don't realize the little things he brings to the game

  7. Oilers starting to get going. Had some good bounces tonight. Hyman shows his worth. Leon set up Hurricanes first goal but made up for it with that bullet in OT. Cannot depend on a couple guys though, they do get tired eventually. Rest of team has to start picking up more weight.

  8. Andersen' s bad stick play has given several goalies. Here was one again, the first goal.

They need a better goalie in order to be a serious SC contender.

  9. climbing up the division standings while perpetually seems like watching a Stooges skit, imagine the possibilities if they had blueliners to dress

  10. Wow, i thought the first canes goal was bad but geeeez come on skinner how bad can you possibly be??? Kulak horrible pinch on 3rd cane goal. As a Canadian citizen who loves hockey your Oilers are the only hope we've had for a long time of bringing lord stanley home…..for the love of god get a goalie, the trash you have just doesn't cut it, how many cups do you need to have 1 player cost you before you fix the most glaring, obvious flaw your team has. (Yes bouchard and nurse are both pylons but skinner is HORRIBLE and has been for years)
