NHL Highlights | Sabres vs. Red Wings – November 15, 2025
Well, Mick told you all about Morid Cider, one of the best defenders going right now in the National Hockey League. And how good has that pair been along with Simon Edmonson up against the opposition’s best Kane? He’ll wire one around. Comper over there to pick it up, sending one back of the net for Finny again. Finny deferred to Kane in front of Comper. And a save there by Ellis during the summer on vacation. That shot just sailed wide from Cider. Edmonson ad twoon one the other way. Tuck on the left, Thompson on the right. Thompson right on the goal. Hit the goal post. Wow. Former Edmonton Oiler. Why did he Oh, he collided with Cider. Their feet came together. Totally accidental. He ripped it off the far goal post and then their skates collided and off the outside of the net. Sand Dean Tullica moves in. 44 on 44. That’s Josh Dunn on him. Comes back for Sherro. Tipped in front. They score. Pay. 495th career goal for Showtime on this one. What a giveaway this was. Right up the gut. And a smart play. by Gerroat and Patrick Kane gets himself a simple one after that rolling puck high wide miss off the draw as we’re back with you from Little Caesar’s arena kept in by Tuck knocked down loose in front played back Thompson the try only they score it squeaks through underneath Tuck got the last whack at it and tucked it in after an icing. Buck doesn’t get out there and then it’s like a bunch of miscues and I thought Cider Oh, okay. So, what happened is Cider had possession and Tuck banged it his stick and the puck into the net. Watch this right there. So, good for sir was the hardest puncher he ever faced. I I I can verify that he hit me in practice one day. broke my shoulder just a and that was a fun punch. Hey, how you doing, Mick? I go stay in your lane. Yeah, Byron lost it to break it. Scores. And it ends up on a a double clutch. Good save by Ellis. But boy, the the presence of De Brinket to recover from that. Raymond got a beautiful assist on this goal. Wow. But here’s the the turnover right there again by Buffalo. They’ve had two of them and it’s cost them two goals. That gets picked off. There is some good pressure there from Edmonson. So Larkin fed it in deep to Raymond in front. Scores. Dylan Larkin. What a feed from Lucas Raymond. I guess. Wow. This whole play started way back. The give and go by Larkin and Raymond plays on side. See Larkin trying to figure out what’s going on. Two Buffalo players are standing still. And when Larkin goes to the net, he didn’t get a lot on it, but boy oh boy, what a great feed by number 23 and under the bar makes it three to one. Well, you called for Lucas Raymond. Neither team has scored on their first try. Off Ellis, it’s loose to bring it. couldn’t get it. Larkin was there. Able to move it back for Kane. Raymond unable to one time it. Got it to Dinket. Across for Kane. He got there. Scores. It’s four to one. Power play goal. I think this may be Dinket again. Lucas Raymond again. Another assist. My oh my. You see it. Kane was on the back door waiting for a dunk. And Samuelson, he tried to intercept the pass and he did, but at the same time he banks it right into his own net. Sandine Pelica for Finny. Good play Danielson down low. What a save. Great stop. Nicely set up for Danielson. Fit for his first National Hockey League goal. There’s little doubt that the speedster Penny was going to get there from the hash mark down low. Look at this chance. He was fresh off the bench, too. Yeah. Danielson’s best uh since his short time callup. Really good execution there. But unfortunately for Detroit, so did Ellis. Bowen. Byum. Barasmus. Delene scores. tipped in front and over the glove and it’s a 42 game. Started by a faceoff one. They got help for sure. Oh, went off of Don. Went off of Don’s body and completely changed directions. Went from the left side or the right side over to the left side. stick off his stick. Well, that’s what happens when you go to the front of the net. Sometimes you get rewarded. And by the way, we had talked much and Daniela had mentioned about Axel Sandine Pelica and only playing 1343 on Thursday. Two helpers tonight. Eight of his 10 points have come on the power play. One of those this evening on the de Brinket goal. Red Wings one for three with a man advantage against the best penalty killing unit in the NHL. Buffalo second last in the league, but their penalty killing terrific. And a nice move. Speaking of terrific, what a play by Thompson. Oh wow. Driving the net. The big man 6’6. Buried that one. And it’s a oneot game now. Boy oh boy. Decider is is caught up. And it’s a forward to bring it back. And he takes full advantage of that. that big reach cutting in. And makes no mistake, 47 goals two years ago. And you can see why with plays like this. Mine knocked down out of the air by Johansson. Says Kane away on to Conford right goal and a save made by Ellis. Cuts to the net. They’re going to call tripping, I think, on the play. And Kellis, huge save in a 4-3 game. Lucas Raymond on for Larkin. Back to Cider. This side now to Brinket for Cider. Top of the right circle for Kane. Down low in front for Larkin. Just over his stick. Kept in by Ser and he lost it. It’s a break from center for Mloud. One-on-one with Gibson. He scores. Wow. A short-handed goal ties up the game. 44. The third short-handed goal of the season for the best penalty killing unit at better than 90% in the National Hockey League. At the Buffalo Blue Line, he basically picked the pocket of Moider. it looked like on that replay and made a good shot on the on the blocker side over the pad under the blocker. Pop out to center slowly into the Buffalo zone. pressure there. We’ll tie it up along the boards and we’re going to extra time. Raymond and Larkin and it’s Sandine Pelica. Possession key and Detroit starts with it. They hadn’t made the change. I doubt they were going to get two of those calls. Here’s Thompson. That got blocked. Thompson fighting it off. Thompson plays it back. What a play. They score. What a play by Tage Thompson for Matias Samuelson, the former Western Michigan Bronco, as Buffalo comes all the way back from 4-1 down midway through the game and win it 54 in overtime. Broken play. It was blocked. And then Thompson, if he knew he was there, I don’t know. You’d have to see a different angle on that, but he knew for sure when he knocked the brinket down, but the three Red Wings were right in front of him and they’re looking for a penalty. See, on on Thompson, Detroit was for interfering with Debrink. Well, it was a battle and that’s I don’t know, man. That That’s a battle. That’s twice tonight, unfortunately, for De Brinket. The first one when Thompson came back and he had to bring
Tage Thompson and Josh Doan each recorded a goal and an assist, Mattias Samuelsson buried the overtime-winner, and the Buffalo Sabres escaped with a 5-4 win on the road over the Detroit Red Wings.

keeping chipping Sabs. Still a lot of season left. Forever playoff hopeful
9:00 Watch a cat fly
Detroit needs more size. Thompson man handled them.
Holly interference on that OT goal tho my lord got away with one
Redwings on a free-fall as expected. This is something that deadwings need to overcome if they want a playoff. Lions, Tigers and red-hot Pistons are there but this team always find a way to lose.
Гибсон дырка!!
I don't think gibson has ever stopped a breakaway. At least since he's been a wing
Just goes to show that no lead is safe without defense.
Maybe there's a 47 yr old goalie some other team doesn't want that the wings can pick up.
Should work out well for us….
Is HASEK still around?!?
There should be no confusion as to how critical Rasmus Dahlin is to any chance of Sabres success. One game back and you can feel the difference he makes. Tage Thompson is a beast too.
Man the NHL is so fun to watch, every single team has exciting players and tons of overtime games this year. Hopefully the parity continues to the middle of the season. Buffalo needed this one
In what world is that interference on Thompson? Debrincat had the puck in his skates, get stronger little fella
The Detroit broadcasters were salty to the last second and over time. 'Get big' moment for the OT win is so good.
Эти команды всегда будут портить статистику другим
Seider is the most overrated D in the league
I'm sick and tired of Yzerscam. I have had enough of this guy as a GM. I also blame Chris Ilitch for a lot of this. If his father was still here I would doubt this team would have been this bad for this long.
WTF Wings🤦♂️🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
This is why we miss the playoffs by 4 to 5 points….
Detroit Red Wings is now my favorite hockey team because Detroit, Michigan makes me think of Iran 🇮🇷 because of comic book characters Spawn and Astaroth in Soul Calibur.
Hope to see Detroit 🏀 become Stanley Cup Champions again like 2008.
The only consolation here is that it's the NHL's best tandem commentating on the whole fiasco. GG Sabes & well done.
DeBrincat was absolutely dwarfed twice by Thompson, and Buffalo got 2 goals 😂
Sammy got his goal back at the right time 👍 🏒 💯 also 🙏 for Razies family ⚔️ ⚔️ ⚔️
turned it off in disgust at 4-1. I've already used up my "this is a season changing win" mojo, so i'm happy they came back, but still miserable and cynical about their chances.
And i thought the maple leafs isn't the only ones who blew the lead in Chicago
Thompson going around DeMidget the way he did was hilarious LOL..Sabres end their losing streak in Detroit..as expected
That's a game that is REALLY hard to loose 😕 they'll remember it ..
Save Tage Thompson pls he would be a perennial 100 point 40-50 goal scorer in the league if he was in a better team
What is dahlin now? Like minus 47?
So the sabres are capable of winning a game
