CONDENSED GAME: Boston Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens – 11/15/2025
Live from the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, welcome to Boston Bruins hockey on Ness. Tonight, the greatest rivalry in hockey takes center stage as the Bruins travel north of the border to take on the Montreal Canadians. One and five against teams that made the playoffs last year. And that one win came in overtime. Right off the hop, here we go. It’s going to be Zenorov and Strumal. This is the way to get it started. They grab a hold. Zenor a right. Sador of another right. Sador of a right hand. Stribble right. Zedora getting his balance along the glass. Sador of a right. Senor an uppercut. Dribble trying to get the right hand free. Zidora takes his helmet off. Zedora right. Senor another right to the chin. Stribble right. Zedora have a right hand and the linesman will step in. What a way to get it started. Reminiscent of the four nations, isn’t it? Saturday night Montreal. Montreal 47. Five minute seats for fighting. They both wait for the puck to drop. Uh, you know, we watched warm up pretty carefully. John didn’t seem to have any indication between these two players in particular that anything was going to happen, but this is a first place game. We talk about the rivalry. It’s center stage. It’s right at the beginning of the game. People are excited about what they’re going to see tonight and this is the way it starts. Zorov now leads the Bruins with 36 penalty minutes. Jaden Strum, a Cumberland, Rhode Island native. well aware of this rivalry. Puck banged over to the near side. Pos head up will feed it to the middle. Badino across. Pos shot it just wide with Montimo out of position. We got a penalty. Well, again the Bruins executing and managing the puck. It’s a great play by Posen to find the weak side defense and then have this Lynholm who will activate it. The Bruins are going to go on the power play because of their puck movement. Costa comes deep. Takes a look over his shoulder. One of my options. Lynholm and he moves the puck quick. He doesn’t take an extra stride with it. Forehand to backand moving across the blue line. Pos on the net drive. Nice pass by Hus Nadinov. Pasta gets hooked on his opportunity. Try to go forehand backhand and he had a sweeping spinama with a lot of net right through the crease. Jano took a hit from Boulder and then in the corner Gallagher with a hit and Chano is going to drop the gloves here with Jack eyee. Big heavyweight tilt here at center ice. Janoa big right hand that missed. Jackeye trying to contain him. Oh, Jano just popped him and he floors. Jack eyee. [Applause] Well, as you know, takes a big hit from Bulldog on the back. Checking the neutral zone. one of those hits that looks more severe than it actually is because he gets up into the Montreal bench and then there’s more body contact as we take a look by Bulldog on the back check and then down in the corner there was more body contact. Jano got involved made a nice solid body contact check on Jack eye and then the gloves came off. Wow. He just drilled one of the toughest guys in the league and decked him. We got a long way to go in this one. We’ve seen two bouts and we haven’t even played four minutes. Lindholm is out of the box. Oh, and he’s got the puck as Anderson skated right into him. Lynholm in the corner. It’s batted back in the net. Lynholm’s going to head off to Shage Mitt. Now on the near side, Mitt to the slot and head shot right into the midsection and then out in front. Vel got finished. Jumping in is Evans. Anderson is in the fray. Oh, I think Vel wants a piece of Strugal, but the linesman may not let that happen. Swoops up top. Hands to Makavoy. Was in his skates. Makavoy recovers. Back to get Zenorov. Zorov will motor ahead through a stick check. He’ll peel off at the near hash mark with the pass down low right to Dobson ruins for the steel. Zenorov across Houston fires. He scores. Off the pad and in. Moratanino opens the scoring here in Montreal. Continues to impress. They slide him into that top spot in the absence. Elias Lindholm he’s playing between Panak then puts Geeki back up there again in the absence of Lynholm because Geeki had moved to a different line just continues to do the job. You know it was a nice rush by Zidorov to get in the offensive zone didn’t have a play so he threw it deep and then it’s Hustadinov who gets it back and he makes a nice pass out into the high slot. Now Zidorov has options and he’s going to go low down a pass who doesn’t really have the angle onto there at the short side. Little pump fake. What’s my option? And he finds who shot ready and it didn’t go in clean but it found the back of the net. Surveys sent it right to the net. Saka nearly chipped it home. Arbitson now Makaoy post astronaut trying to thread one into the slot. Zaka to Arbitson. Hit him in the skate. Twoon one the other way. Here’s Evans. Right circle. Shoots. He scores. [Music] [Applause] Shorthanded goal here for the Canadians to tie it at one. Now that brings this building to life. Not that it needed it, but uh in a different way. Evans with a shortander. Bruins got a little bit stationary on the five on four. They try to make a play. Zaka to Arbertson. It was on the backhand side in by his left skate and just before Zach is going to lift the sticker. Evans on the back check. He must have felt the the back pressure. He gets into a good scoring area. Swayman stands him right up. Gets a piece of it but not enough. [Music] Up top Sedor. Faceoff play to Arbitson. Now Makamoy left of the net. Taka shows. He sizzled it wide. Arbitson moves in centered. Oaka couldn’t tip it home. He had two great opportunities. Unbelievable opportunities. Suzuki wins the draw to start it off. Here’s Hudson. Dobson. Lot of skill. Dennov. Hudson Caulfield centered out in front and Suzuki couldn’t pop it in now. Demidov and it’s chipped over the crossbar by Cawfield. Sent back up top. Demond to the corner. Hudson pops out. Deonov Cfield ripped one and a stop made by Swayman who gave a little poke to Suzuki after he did. Hudson top of the right wing circle. Here’s Cfield deoff and down it goes. Great job. Great job by the Bruins. Both Lori around one check. Anders flipped to the corner. Hustadino with nine. Back up top. Nobody home. swimming out to plate with three. He’ll drill it off the glass and that’s going to do it for an entertaining opening 20 minutes. And we end Bruins one, Canadians one. Yeah. Let’s start with uh what you didn’t like. The power play not so good. You don’t get any results with when you had your chances and you give up a short-handed goal. Outside of that, outstanding first period. The five on three kill was spectacular. This shot block here was massive. Not only is he getting in the shooting lane, Mackoy, but it goes all the way out in center ice. And look how he finishes it off. Slapsky with his head down in the middle of the ice. He just gets laid out by Mackoy with a great shoulder check. But the way the Bruins finished that period, the five on three to keep this 1-1. Impressive. Mat fires wide. That’s Lovski. Knocked down by Pete. Geek working him over. Bruins flipping ahead. Here’s Geeki with a step and shoots. Mosimo shot the five hole and covers up in the blue paint. He’s made a couple of big stops. Good aggressive checkups leftski by Andrew Pig. And then the supports there from Posanok. And this is just an incredibly deaf little flip pass by Posanak. Allows Geeky to stay on side. Skate right into a clean breakaway. Puck’s bouncing a little bit. But he did have to get it flat and he wanted to go quick. Back in four hit five hole. Big stop by M. Grabs the seat. Castlick is out to take this face off. Sam Montbo does not have great numbers lifetime against the Bruins as this puck is dribbled in. Montibbo steers it aside. Castle it. Laurai fires. He scores. Mason Laurai his second of the season goes low. blocker. Two-1 Bruins. Yeah, it was giving him subtle props in the first period for doing things firm. You know, that’s the criticism against the young man. He has to do more things firm. And one of them is moving the puck. He made some plays from deep in his own zone by going hard up the wall or direct or indirect in center ice. And here he’s shot ready. You know, you win a faceoff, you pursue the puck, you use the back of the net to get some separation. And I don’t know if this puck hits anything, but it definitely sinks. Jack eyes got it. He’ll send it behind the net to Kerier. Acquired last year from Nashville midseason. Jack eyee shoots way to the chest save. Skates to the front and the Bruins completely has scored him away. And now Anderson wants to mix it up. He didn’t want to go earlier in the game. Does he want to go now? Well, Jack Eye starts to break out from his defensive zone and he just skates up in the left wing. The Bruins, you know, they have the one for checker and AC on. So now they’re playing 2-2 in the neutral zone. Jack guy just kind of cruises up that left side, gets a pass. You know, he got in top of the circle. Let a shotguner swam in hand and made it look easy and then he followed a shot. you know, threw a little snow in front of the net and not not going to let that go without being checked. I don’t think we’re going to have any penalties called after that little skirmish. Puck rimmed around. Gallagher cuts out in front. Back door swinging. What a stop. Hudson shoots blocked. Carried out by Castellic. Then he lost it as Davidson feeds it in. Yeah, it looks like it was Davidson that had that second chance opportunity after Gallaghan charged the net. 45 seconds left on the first minor. Hudson across got a piece of it now Cfield. Hudson shoots. He missed the target. This puck stays in however. Deino off. Hudson across and it’s hacked to the corner. Suzuki couldn’t control it. Doson Suzuki demog Suzuki. Hudson swarming the stop and he controls the rebound. Now Posterno Lindholm Posternok center point. That shot hits some skates over to the near side. Lynholm keeps it in. Anderson couldn’t clear it. Here’s Lynholm. Postra out in front. They score. What a dish that was to Victor Arbitson. He drills it home and the Bruins take advantage. Bruins three. Canadians one. The triangles create twoon ones. And this is a nice triangle on the right side of the ice as far as Boston’s concerned to the left of Montenbo. Boston’s going to be out high. Zaka flanks out and then he’s able to make a nifty little backhand pass through his skates through his check as Ion moves a little closer to the net to make sure he gets to that puck first that he can’t be closed on from either side or from behind. And it’s a quick release blocker side inside the far post. You know, I was curious, Jud, who was going to come out as the one defenseman on that unit. Jack eyee Dobson into the slot deflected. What a stop by Swayman. Left to right and Peak pulls Gallagher out of there. Looked like he was getting in Swayman’s way and Castlick over to settle things down. Yeah, it’s about a half a dozen this period for Swayman. There were critical stops, critical times. Obviously the five on three situation, the number of saves in that. And then this one here on the redirect from the high slot. Shot pass by Dobson. Look like Davidson got the first piece. Swayman’s got to fight through the moving traffic in front of him. Look from the left of the bodies to the right of the bodies and then still pick up the puck when it’s in route. Nice save. Now Zidora post astronaut swept into the slot too far for Aspro. Now he’s got to get back and defend. Suzuki on the slot. Cfield. He scores. [Music] Shades of what plagued the Bruins on Thursday night in Ottawa. Bruins with a 3-2 lead now. Well, at the tail end of the play, cuz Asparo’s up ice, he was trying to do a little give and go with Pasta. So, now Zidorov is really the only defenseman back and he made the decision to try to attack the puff and that left a lot of open space down the middle of the ice for an uncovered Cole Cfield. That’s his bread and butter. Stress to the net. Little forehand back in deep. [Applause] Mat the shot blocked. Suzuki at the center. Slamman was down. Still without a stick. Suzuki. Book check by Morai. Trouble here. 14 seconds left here in the period. Bruins get it out to center ice with eight. And now it’ll settle down a little bit. 3 seconds remaining in the period. Mitten forces a turnover. Send it out in front, but the horn sounds before Geeki could unload a shot. So, the Boston Bruins score twice in that second period, but the lead, it should have been two heading into the third. Instead, it’s one. Demovs Suzuki up top. Doson. Here it comes. wide rebound. Swim and got back. Did he make that stop or did it go off the post? Geeky across. One-time and Arbitson’s drive. Blocker over the glass. It’s a good look. It’s a good one. You were kind of hoping maybe Arbitson was a little bit more inside the dot. It gives you more net to shoot at. So, he tried to beat Monto high to the short side knowing Montabo has to come left to his right. Good pass. Good job by the Brewers to retrieve that puck along the wall, find the open man. [Music] I mean, that’s always a decision, right? Can I use that little soft clear out to the neutral zone or do I go for the empty net? Canadians have it. Here’s Hudson. His shot blocker aside by Swimman who trying to dig it free. Hudson keeps it in. Kicked in the slot. Corali taps to the far side with 25. Geeky couldn’t get it out. Dodoson couldn’t make a clean pass in on for a swing of the same. The rebound sizzled wide. 15 seconds left. Chipped out by Castling. Canadians get back into the neutral zone. Tag up. Hfield denied at the blue line. He’s going to have to enter again. dribbled it to the corner. Four. Hudson shot it around off the surface. Two seconds left. [Applause] [Music] Well, six on five situation. Chances are you’re going to need your goalender to make one or two safes. Certainly, even if you do exactly what you’re supposed to do in playing that situational hockey. Same with Swayman up to the task. They added half a second. So 2.4 now. Castle against Suzuki. Castle wins it back. Who had the Boston Bruins in first place in the Atlantic Division after 20 games? That’s where they are. The Boston Bruins get a fabulous performance out of Jeremy Swam and he’s won five straight games. Victor Arbitson’s 200th career goal stands up as the gamewinner. Your final Bruins three, Canadians two. Tremendous effort. Tremendous effort coming in here in a first place game coming off off the way you gave points away really against Ottawa. How was the team going to respond? Well, you watched it. They even lost a couple of key players along the way. Yet the other players that were healthy and stayed in the lineup secured this victory. Impressive game by Boston all the way

Wow, the Canadiens had almost three minutes worth of 5-on-3's and still couldn't score. You can hear their own fans booing them, right around 12:36.

4+7=11π91πππ
Not a moment for McAvoy. Unbelievable.
Well they are 1st in points but Montreal is only 2 behind but have played 2 less games. Glad the Bruins are winning but still nobody else in the division has played as many games. It was like this all last year also. Not sure why the Bruins schedule is so heavy at the beginning of the season?
This hockey – why does Canada and Florida think it's WWE – I want to see skating and mastery by Pasta of Puck, and Poitras playing, if I want fighting – there is much better Boxing, wrestling , WWE etc etc etc!
Short handed goal unacceptable! Both goals 64(10) million goalie should have stopped, being out shot by opponent 3:2, and how about some empty netters?! And not giving opponent so many power plays?!
8 out of 9 keep it going
Good kill of 5 on 3 twice , praying for mcavoy, can't allow breakaways especially 4 on 4
Why was the game opened with a fight? Looked staged.
What about the missing frames searching for the Tooth!
Other than that, what a game and gotta love this format as no guilt not being there for watching the entirety.
jackeye didnt get dropped, he fucking fell.
