The New England Patriots just added a ton of fuel to the fire. I’m getting heated. Let’s talk about it. My name is Aaron on the Daily Patriots content. Don’t miss out. Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re not hyped, I don’t know what the heck you are. Listen, got a deer this morning. Opening rifle. Pretty pumped. Pretty pumped. That being said, today what we get got to talk about uh Patriots just incredibly disrespected. We’re going to sit here right now and defend that positioning of why they are wrong. And you probably know who I’m talking about, but that’s fine. We’re going to go point by bo point. Nope, not bo point by point. There we go. And break it down for everyone to see that this is foolishness to think like this that the Patriots are quote unquote fool’s gold. I’ll move on from that as well. We’ll be jumping into Milton Williams and talking about the injury there. So, let’s jump right into it. First and foremost, you guys know Cam Newton came out and said, quote, “The Patriots success is fool’s gold after team improved to 9 and2 on the season.” Went on to say, “Listen, you know what a real team is? Is the Indianapolis Colts sure congrats to the Indianapolis Colts? They have turned it around. They’ve done a lot. A lot of people assumed Danny Dimes was going to go into Indianapolis and it was just going to be a transitional piece kind of like what we did with Jacobe Brassette. That’s you know we’re going to bring him in and eventually we’ll find a quarterback because for them we they know Anthony Richardson isn’t the guy. But then Daniel Daniel Jones comes in and and resurrects his career kind of like what Ryan Tanahill did when he went up to Tennessee from Miami. Uh which we know that fell off after a while but that’s beside the point. What I’m trying to say is he incredibly disrespected the Patriots. Said they are not playing anyone good. They’re playing a bunch of scrubs. They’re fool’s gold. Not real. Indianapolis Colts, in his eyes, are the real deal. Let’s break this down, ladies and gentlemen. First and foremost, we jump into the Colts schedule. Now, I will concede their two best wins are against the Denver Broncos, who are sitting at 8-2. And then the Los Angeles, always want to say say San Diego beat them as well, 7 and or uh and Los Angeles is 7-3. So two solid wins against AF AFC uh West teams. Great. Besides that, ladies and gentlemen, when we really dive into it, yep, they lost to a good Rams team. But we look at all their other wins, and let me let me say this out loud for everyone to hear, and I wish Cam Newton Cam Newton’s not going to pay attention to a to a high school PE teacher in Michigan, uh, uh, who loves the Patriots. But yeah, I don’t know. Maybe he’ll maybe if I wore one of those hats, he’d pay attention to me, which I will. I’m not going to dog on his his style. you know, live your life, do what you want. It is what it is. But anyways, Miami, which the Patriots also beat, 3-7. The Arizona Cardinals 3-6. The Tennessee Titans, who the Patriots are so beat, 1-8. The Falcons, who are 3-6, both we know the Patriots and the Colts won. Colts uh only won in overtime where in all reality is uh John Parker Romo makes that PAT. They go into overtime as well. But regardless, still a win. Very comparable games as well. You even look at the Tennessee game. They both won that game as well. In that game, the Colts won 3814. The Patriots won 3113. So, a lot of comparable things. And then they both lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots, we all know if you watch that game from start to finish, should have absolutely won that game. Turnovers absolutely ate them. Destroyed them. It was It was embarrassing to watch, but they should have won that game where the Colts lost it all outright in Pittsburgh. Then we jump over real quick. So, we look at that. We jump over to the Patriots schedule. Now, the big wins for the Patriots. Buccaneers again going to win the NFC South. And that was at Tampa Bay as well, playing the Buffalo Bills, reigning MVP in Buffalo, prime time, winning that game. You cannot tell me that the Indiana Indianapolis Colts are definitively head and shoulders above the New England Patriots. You can’t. There is no way. When you look at everything, you compare everything, there’s there’s no way. They both have solid wins. They’ve both They’ve both done basically the same against comparable exact teams. And you’re going to have the audacity to come out and say, “No, the Patriots, uh, they’re they’re fool’s gold.” If if you say that, then you would have to say the same thing about the Indianapolis Colts. I don’t under I do not understand the logic behind Cam Newton’s argument especially especially the fact that you know you would think and maybe he’s just trying not to be biased because again he he played in New England maybe he’s still a little bitter towards New England I have no idea but when it comes down to it the audacity that coonace to come out and say and maybe that’s just that’s sports media today they just got to make some big claims so they can get a headline so people click so people watch and all these different things. Again, I I I’m not the h I you guys see my stuff on here. It’s we’re we’re were positive. Um it’s not like I come out with these hot outlandish takes like like last year I was never like here are the three reasons Jacobe Brassette’s going to win the MVP. No. And I never said the you know the New England Patriots are an absolute playoff lock last year. No. This year I came into the season I said I think they have a good chance and clearly they do sitting at nine and two now but I don’t try to come out and make these outlandish claims but this right here adds fuel to the fire. Again the disrespect you know for a fact I’m sure there’s a lot of these players that don’t even pay attention to the media but you others hear the chirping and they want to continue to prove people wrong. They want to continue the train, the train of moving and showing people the New England Patriots 2025 are here and they mean business. So again, I would compare I would say the schedule to the Indianapolis Colts. You you can’t tell me it’s a huge drop off. Ladies and gentlemen, we are still in the heart of football season and that means a lot of different things. Hanging out with the guys, chilly, screaming, crying, laughing. and who the heck knows? But when it comes down to it, we know one thing that makes it fun and proves a point, all those different things, is putting a little money on the game. Anyways, that being said, as well, what we can jump into just just to, you know, add the little cherry on top for you guys, the New England Patriots during their eightgame win streak have beaten the number one pass defense, the number two pass defense, the number three pass defense, number two total offense, reigning MVP Allen in their stadium, the number 11 pass offense, and MVP candidate Baker Mayfield. Again, they are not playing the school of the blind every single week. Drake May is not playing against crap opponents. He is putting up big numbers, great numbers, MVP numbers against solid defenses, defenses that defend well against the pass. And he has continued to show even without one of his top receivers, Kahan Booty. Bring that booty hashtag, he can still do it. He has even shown that he can still do it without uh their number one running back who is best at pass picking up the blitz. He has continued to do it. So do not tell me that Drake May or this team is playing an easy schedule and that it’s fool’s gold is stupid. But you know what? Add fuel to the fire, baby. Add that fuel. Just dump it on there. Dump it on. Throw the whole thing on there. That’s fine. Because the Patriots will continue to prove people wrong and into the playoffs. This team has this team has a lot left in the tank. Uh reports saying it’s it’s possible that he is out for multiple weeks. I’m going to tell you this, not ideal, but I will continue to revert back to my my my buddy uh Vic, how he’s he calls it the Appalachin State. If you don’t know who Appalachin State is because you don’t watch college football, they are a uh a group of five team, group of six team technically. Um that uh for a power four team should be an easy win. Not always an easy win, but should be an easy win. Cupcake game would be the correct term in college football. And so the Patriots, I’m not saying the Bengals and the Giants are going to be pushovers, but it’s not like they’re going up against the Bills uh or the Ravens who who have a mountain to climb, but I think also want to prove everyone wrong and make a blitz at the playoffs, which they very well possibly could. And so if Milton Williams is out for the next couple weeks and he can rest, but the Patriots still, you know, do business, you know, take care of business, then it is what it is. You’d rather get him healthy. But what’s crazy is he even said in the game, and we talked about this on the show yesterday, that he was fine. He felt 100% or not 100%, but he was ready to go back into the game. That’s what I want to say. He wanted to go back in the game. He was ready to go. I think I think he’s going to be back sooner rather than later regardless. We talked about one of the positives in this in this last game uh against the Jets was the defensive line. You saw the uh Christian Barmore three plays in a row just dominating and he’s he’s starting to come into his own this season. The the Christian Barmore that we know as well Elijah Ponder coming in there and it’s it’s only a matter of time before Harold Landry and Casey Chaon get back in the game. So again, and I I I like uh you know, the the other defensive tackles as well, including your boy Tonga, who uh he jumps in at fullback every once in a while. I’m not worried. I’m not stressing out.   14. I am a patriots fan but I win is a win even though the schedule is soft but the team is learning the art of winning let's see how we look against the colts and ravens and we have some amount of draft capital plus money so 2026 let's go patriots

  19. If we are fools gold then take the Broncos: they have virtually no offense, yet they’re 8–2. We in the other hand have a solid defense and offense.

    We aren’t an easy opponent — no one is. There are bad teams, but there are no easy wins.

    Are the Pats perfect? No. There’s always room for improvement, and they’d make the same argument. But on any given Sunday, their talent gives them a strong chance to beat anyone.

    And honestly could have won the two games we lost if our execution had been better, and the last eight games show that we’ve been doing exactly that — consistently.

    And in this league, consistency is the recipe for success. Cam's takes are about as accurate as his passes when he was a player, fool's gold under a fancy hat.

  24. The reason why Cam is saying this is because we have seen this before. They are a young team and it is a Drake Maye dimensional team. Indianapolis has a balanced attack. The Colts are more dangerous. Unless New England can work Henderson and Stephenson into that ground game, New England is going to suffer the Dallas Cowboys syndrome. 1 and done! I am naturally skeptical of the hype train. Content creators are more apt to get it wrong than right.

  26. Everyone keeps bitching about the easy schedule as if they didn't already beat the Bills in Buffalo and the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. Who in the AFC is better than them? Broncos? their offense is horrible. Colts? maybe, but I think if the Patriots can shut down Jonathan Taylor and force Jones to throw like the Steelers did they got a good shot at pulling an upset.

    Well, by now, we all know that Milton Williams was placed on IR, so he won't be eligible to come back until after the Ravens game. Unfortunately, the bye doesn't count towards the 4 games.

    But still, I believe in the Dline depth. I'd like to see them send 5 regularly and trust the coverage to hold up.

    You know what's kind of sad??

    Peppers and Dugger (at least pre injury) could blitz more effectively than anyone else on the current roster… This is the drawback to going too small at S. Marcus Jones is your best blitzer at 190 pounds. Allen would shake him off; no shade to Marcus. They really gotta do something about that in the off-season. Mapu should be able to blitz and tackle, but he's a liability at LB. They really need a LB 1 that can just blow stuff up.
    Still, 13-4 should be a given if they stay relatively healthy.🤞🤞
    If Boutte and Stevenson come back healthy, I don't think any remaining defense can stop Maye and this offense. We just gotta have Diggs, Boutte and Henry available and one will get open and Maye will find them. And they need Rhamondre and TJ to get healthy fast and share reps with Trevyon. We all can see that Henderson runs violently for a 202 pound man. That's why the rotation at OSU with Judkins was so key. RB1, sure. But no more than 15-20 touches. And it was rather bleak watching them try to punch it in with Henderson and Johnson when the Jets were in goalline. Westover is incapable. That's why I don't like him. He's not a good lead blocker, or receiving threat and he's no good at blitz pick up. I hope his relatives don't follow you, but yeah. WasteOver. I bet Tonga could score on a running play from the 1 before anyone they have right this moment, including Maye. I love Drake, but he has skinny legs for running a QB sneak. Great for a bootleg. Not so good for a QB sneak where the opposition is in goalline, with this light offensive line. And I still think Brown is a better run blocker with a more solid base at OG than Wilson, too. They have sacrificed a slightly more polished player for development, and I don't know how I feel about that.
    We've kind of hit that RB Armageddon I feared. Fingers crossed the duo and Boutte all make it back after the mini bye, and the whole team stays relatively healthy and they secure a bye in the playoffs where they can all come back stronger and rested.

  30. Cam is right. Don't let those record fools you. But we can said the same thing about Colts, Broncos and Seahawk. For me Ravens and Chiefs is still contender in AFC.
    Let just focus one game at a time. Go Pats

  31. But what do you think about the "eye" test between the Pats and the Colts? AFAIK, Taylor is AWESOME, and before Henderson, we had an average running game. Not that I don't like stevenson, but he doesn't have pop while running. Henderson, OTOH, has it all. So I still like the combo of Stevenson vs Henderson with a 50% split, maybe more for Stevenson for play action passrush blocking. Other than this one upgrade perhaps equalizing the RB comparison vs the colts, I don't know how we compare on the other eye testable intangables.

  34. Cam is doing what Stephen A does. Make a crazy take(that matches the hat) because you want people to talk. I agree with you, I don't believe Cam really means what he said. I mean you match the Pats and Colts up Pats are built to win on the playoffs on the road and at home.

  36. Cam was replaced by the very rookie he's now criticizing, and by the team they both played for, and that upsets him. Drake as a rookie was already better than Cam, and in year two Drake's skill set shows that the sky is the limit. Drake has the potential to be as good, or nearly as good, as the GOAT Tom Brady, something Cam never even had the capability of dreaming of let alone attaining. Plain and simple, it's jealousy, it's obvious, and it's ugly, but in the end he's only embarrassing himself.

  38. Indy, Seattle and Denver all have 1 or 2 wins against teams over .500. Most of their wins like the Pats have come against the NFLs losers. The whole league has about 8-10 good teams and 22-24 losers.

  39. Strength of schedule is always stupid. There is no metric to show how good you are against lesser teams and all you can do with them is beat them. What more are you supposed to do? You can't slaughter the team and carry the opponents skulls around on the fields on pikes. You are as good as the best teams you face and the Patriots have beaten them. The idea that you need to face 8 teams with the best records other than 2 to be able to prove your worth is stupidity that comes from people who will never accept proof. Those are the types who still want to say Montana is better than Brady because Montana never lost a Super Bowl.
