[ESPN] Video: Sneed driving car before alleged shooting

  1. Yeesh, you’d think given everything around his family growing up, he’d be a lot smarter than that. This is definitely worse than the initial reports too.

  2. This article is weirdly worded. Also why are these guys doing shit in very identifiable cars. I guess those college years didn’t make them smarter.

  3. Is the video actually available, I can’t find it? In reading the description, all this possibly proves is that he was driving the vehicle when the passenger shot at the other car and that he then drove off quickly afterward. It also means he knew the shooter in some capacity. Since he didn’t go to the police it also suggests failure to report, which is likely why he was indicted on that charge.

    What it doesn’t prove:
Sneed knew the guy was going to shoot
Sneed approved of the guy shooting
    Sneed employed the guy shooting
    Sneed instigated the shooting
Sneed drove away to protect the guy shooting

We have no information on the motive for both the shooting and for Sneed driving away quickly. The shooting could have been something that Sneed ordered for some reason, or it could have been something he had no idea about. He could have sped away to help the guy escapenor he could have been scared/freeked out and panicked. He could have failed to report because he was protecting his accomplice, or he could be afraid of him, or he could have been afraid reporting would come back on Sneed in some other way.

Honestly, there are very few facts and a lot of assumptions and accusations at this point. Let the legal system play out.

  4. The Chiefs may occasionally miss on draft picks… but they’ve (generally) been really good at stepping away from paying big contracts that would have gone really bad. Maybe luck? It seems like every offseason, we see some great player go get his bag elsewhere (and this sub laments)… and, like a year later, I’m like “yeah, that was probably okay.”

  5. Am I missing something? I haven’t been following any prior updates to this story but this article doesn’t really explain how he’s guilty. He was with someone. How do they know who fired the shots? It says he was on crutches how can he drive a car? What’s the motive? I’m gonna hold judgment till I get more details.

  6. Stupid hood rat shit. I thought Sneed was above this. Don’t think I’m wearing his jersey to the Chiefs game this Sunday anymore.

  7. That sucks. He was legit my fav Chiefs player, because he used to live close by and would wave at my kid.

  8. Teams need to appoint someone to help these players learn they’re not gangsters or gangbangers. They’re professional athletes making millions of dollars a year. You don’t need that gun. You don’t need to race around in your Lambo on the streets. They have shooting ranges and racetracks for that. No quicker way to end your career than by acting like a crackhead shooting at a local gas station.

  9. Shooting someone in a lambo. After every one just saw you Get in and out of the car is certainly a a choice. Good lord.

  10. Not even front page news of ESPN, he’s absolutely complicit and this is an indictment of his character, but he’s probably going to plead this down, pay a fine and get a couple years of probation, or just straight up get off. The only thing that is going to keep him from playing after the suspension (no public video? 2 games?) is his knee being toast.

FWIW, because it’s worded in a weird way, the charge is “failure to report a felony” which is not a felony but a Class-A misdemeanor

  11. Why do these players get all this money and get their family out of these places, and then they go right back there and hang out? Get the fuck out of there and don’t go back, there is nothing for you there but trouble.

  12. Dang. I thought Sneed seemed like a level headed dude. Loved him and his energy when he was a Chief, really disappointed to see he’s involved in this kind of thing.

  13. Dude loses his brother to a violent murder and then decides he should take part in more murder… Unbelievable thought process some of these people have.

  14. Man thats too bad. I read about his upbringing when he was a Chief and it seemed like he had really put jt behind him. I guess not.
