Willie Green is gone, I am glad
His existence bought me pain as well as misery
Whenever I think of him, I think about what happened two years ago, the pain of what could’ve been
The Zion injury, the play in loss, should’ve never happened in the first place
49 games, we could’ve won way more
Also the loss to the Spurs, that shouldn’t have mattered. If only we had a competent coach, we didn’t even need Z that night
1-24 during crunch time, countless one possession losses
I’m surprised it took this long for him to be gone, I’m surprised the loss to the Lakers sealed the fate when it should’ve been sealed a long time ago
If only Zion played in the playoffs man. If only we kept Naji
Man, today is a good day

The entire New Orleans basketball history is frustrating as fuck. First team leaves because the owner was Mormon. Second team has had so many talented players but a string of horrible coaches/GMs/presidents
Losing to the Spurs was an all time bad move and might have cost him his job. He ‘outsmarted’ himself. Play to win that game, like it is a playoff game. Don’t take things for granted.
BI injuring his toe that season in the run up to the playoffs is the worst thing that could ever happen. It’s set off a chain reaction that directly led to this miserable time. We were playing so fucking good, it was right there!
We had the fourth best record in 5th best differential after all star break. Awful in the clutch but competitive and deep, fighting to get out of the play-in. Bi stubs his toe 15 or so games in. We stumbled down the stretch.
Jose and Naji fighting the heat, getting suspended then beating the heat’s ass in their return was so great.
Last game of the season against the Lakers to stay out of the play-in and we lay a dud. Z gets hurt first play-in game. We beat whoever we be then run up on a descendant NBA champion in the actual playoffs.
No actual success so Griff goes hunting, we lose dice and picks to bring in DJM while also not resigning Naji. Then of course we have the bullshit that was last year, Griff gets fired so we bring in Joe. Joe does wild shit and now we’re here.
Fuck
His season with the most wins is the season where I knew he was a bad coach. So many of those loses could’ve been wins.
