In all fairness, Cleveland has never proven that they have a good coaching staff to develop any QB ever.
I now really believe a good QB or a QB with potential needs the right coaching.
For example Kevin O’Connell turning Darnold and Jones into machines, or Baker and Goff having their resurgence.
WE need good coaches and we have a real opportunity to get some heading into the off season. God I hope we don’t f*** this up 🙏🏽

Sure, he’s a nepo baby who fucked around and found out about the draft process but he was clearly not ready to be out there and certainly was trying against a far superior opponent.
I know the Browns since resurrection have never been a particularly consistent or well-run team but it’s remarkable how much of their mediocrity this season is entirely self-inflicted.
I want him to start for real next week and put up a stat line like this to shut down any “he came into the game as an emergency qb with no prep” narrative
I really hope he succeeds.

Playing for the Browns though is like playing for the Jets so I am not going to dismiss the kid on one game. Still we got Dart sp I really could care less what the others do
When I first watched Darts tape I thought he was extremely raw. But then when I saw he had the highest Star Predictor Score of any QB ever I went back and watched his tape and compared it to guys like Maholmes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Kyler Murray (all who had high SPSs) and Dart had SIGNIFICANTLY better college tape than those guys against better competition.
Darts ceiling is extremely high, now we need to actually build around him.

You know, everyone likes to discount preseason but it really does give us clues sometimes. Dart looked amazing in preseason and Sanders looked like ass. Turns out, so far, that was pretty accurate.

Daboll needed to go, and Schoen needs to as well, but you gotta give them credit for not being desperate and reaching for this bum. Same thing with Penix and McCarthy.
