Mavs fans everywhere have been dooming by about how this is the “literal worst case scenario” after watching Luka put up MVP numbers at LA while AD’s injured and on his way out at this point, yet this is NOT the worst case scenario by any stretch of the means. The ACTUAL worst case scenario would be if we didn’t move up in the lottery and drafted where we were supposed to. Imagine watching this team with like Kasparas Jakucionis or Nolan Traore instead of Flagg… yeahhhhh… no thank you.
I’m not sure I’m ready to say generational talent as of yet but at 18 he’s very good. I wish we would announce a game plan here and wish that game plan was focusing on our young guys.
Cooper Flagg is the second best 18 year old ever in NBA history and he’s going to be right on LeBron’s ass if we just involve him a little more consistently each game.
A combination of Cooper Flagg being good at basketball and the Mavericks having the most clutch games played in the NBA.
Letting him play his position has helped!
Think if he played with Luka we’d be unstoppable.
We loving it coop! Certainly happy healing some of the wounds of us dallas fans.
Give him some time to grow while you rebuild and you’ll have something. Gonna have to clean up the Nico mess and get some draft capital tho.
Wembanyama, Holmgren, Cooper Flagg.. Their future is incredibly exciting.

After that Luka trade, the Mavs were basically gifted a player who will be very good for a long time.
