as much as i love ghost the norris i don’t see a way somebody other than makar gets the norris unless they have a godly season.
makar will have 9 games over ghost by seasons end and will probably score 25-30 goals. he’s also on pace for over 100 points and he’s one of the few where it’s probably sustainable.
ghost does not score enough goals sadly. it’s also hard to see him having 3 point games every week to keep up the pace.
that being said he’s been awesome. he’ll be in the conversation but every top offensive defensemen right now has the misfortune of playing in the same era as makar. it’s hard to top makar, who is the mcdavid of defensemen.
the real shame is that slavin will never win a norris. it’s a crime they don’t have a defensive defensemen award so somebody other than makar and hughes can win for a change
